Why Nicola Martin-Jenkins chose Bargemon
Our parents bought this property over 40 years ago. It hadn't been lived in for over 50 years. They completely renovated it putting in a pool (the first private pool in Bargemon still one of the largest!) a tennis court as well as a kitchen bedrooms and bathrooms. The first few years we went there we had to stay in the village as there were no bedrooms and no proper kitchen apart from a small fridge and camp stove. We hasten to add that this is no longer the case! It is a very unique and special property to our family. All our big events, engagements, big birthdays and even weddings have taken place there. We have been going every year since we were tiny and have never stopped looking forward to our holidays there. It is an incredibly special place to all our family.
What makes this Villa unique
There are not many private tennis courts in the area but ours is one of them. It was recently resurfaced and is in excellent condition. The large swimming pool with a uniquely shallow end-great for sitting in or for children learning how to swim. The deep end is deep enough for diving. Boule pitch, trampoline, table tennis and meadow. There are lots of places to sit outside and relax and enjoy the fabulous scenery. Inside, the kitchen is properly equipped with numerous fridges and dishwashers. A dining room that sits 10 comfortably. The kitchen table is also large enough to sit at least 10. The Bluthner piano- 2 sitting rooms, board games all combine to make the house the perfect place to relax on holiday.

A fabulous property.
We had a wonderful week in this large family house. It is indeed brilliantly resourced, and once the supermarket shop was done we had very little desire to venture out. It provides beautiful Provencal vistas within a peaceful and relaxing environment- and memorable early morning yoga sessions around the pool. The steep walk up to the village is rewarded with a good choice of cafes, bars and restaurants, well stocked small supermarket and great boulangerie. Highly recommended.
We arrived with a group of 16 covering 3 generations. We were not sure what to expect , but it could not have been better. The home and outdoor areas with various sporting facilities kept everyone entertained and tired.
The village was a delight- an easy walk early morning for warm delicious bagettes. The occasional meal in the village was great but much time spent a Le Lauron. We all enjoyed the well equipped family kitchen and the outdoor eating areas. Fred L'Anglais was a great help many times. The trips to Le gorge de Verdun and to the beach were easy and most enjoyable. A great family celebration. Anxious to return........ Brian Ayotte British Columbia Canada
A week in paradise
There is only one word for this place - fantastic!! We spend a week in the house together with two other families. Initially we had planned to do daily excursions but ended up every day staying "at home" not wanting to leave the place. The house is impeccable furnished. The pool is perfectly tempered, the tennis court has a very high standard, the boule a delightful treat. What more to say - visit!
Paradise En Provence
Wonderful holiday with group of friends and their families last August. A stunning house with beautiful interior, grounds and gardens offering seclusion and space for everyone. Fabulous pool, tennis court and petanque court for the active, or those more sedentary moments plentiful sun loungers with amazing views of the Var. Dining alfresco was a highlight in the shade of vines. Set below the lovely town of Bargemon, offering an invigorating walk up for coffee and patisserie or dinner. I would recommend Le Lauron to families or friends of all ages - we would definitely go back.
Fantastic Family Friendly House
Our family holiday at La Lauron could not have been better. The house is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The pool, tennis court and ball area kept all the adults and children entertained for hours. We can not recommend La Lauron enough, we will definitely be visiting again this summer.
We have stayed in many different holiday homes all over the world and on different budgets. My wife and I rate this the best we've ever been in. Given what's on offer, it's very reasonably priced. The facilities are excellent: top class tennis court, big garden, lovely big swimming pool, boules, table tennis and just lots of nice areas to sit out and relax. But the big difference here is that as well a a greeat outdoors, the inside is also fab. Very conpofortable; three reception rooms. Sky Sports on the TV (big bonus!) - and millins of books. Bedrooms are large and nicely done; there's wifi, and it's just a proper house done properly. Nice couple that look after the house, too, who were very helpful.
Bargemon, 500 metres above sea level, is one of the prettiest villages in the area; it is never crowded or as trippery as villages on or near the coast. Life revolves around the ‘Place’ where, if you sit with your coffee or Pastis, you will get a kaleidoscope of life in Provence. Bargemon has shops for all everyday needs; The nearest town is Draguignan where a bustling and attractive market is held.
Fishing and boating at Lac de St. Cassien (28km), riding, windsurfing and hang-gliding are all within easy reach, as is magnificent walking country. For the really energetic, a Grande Randonee along the base of the Gorge du Verdon (Europe's largest) or, for those not so energetic, a drive along its spectacular rim is highly recommended. St Tropez and the Mediterranean, as well as local golf courses including an excellent championship course at La Motte (15km) are all within 1 hour’s drive. In winter, skiing is possible in the Southern Alps, (Isola 2000: 2 hrs drive, or Greolieres:45 m)
