Mission Hills is a world class Golf Club (Dinah Shore LPGA Tournament held annually), Tennis Club (The Davis Cup was held here twice because of the fine grass courts.) There are 28 tennis courts. There are 10 croquet fields with world class croquet. (The number one croquet player in the U.S.A. resides here).
The unit has twin master bedrooms. If you have guests they do not have to fit in a small kids room. Each master bedroom has its own patio and walk in closet and full bathroom. There is a 1/2 bath guest powder room.
The two bedrooms have no connecting wall and are sound private. There is no need to lower your voices.
There are two TV sets. One is a 45 inch screen with a dvd player. And the other is a wall mounted bedroom 32 inch flat screen. Both have cable.
The two upstairs decks have new Alumawood brand slated deck covers. A palm tree has been custom cut to fit through this double deck cover between decks.
There is a lemon tree and a tangarine tree on the property.
A large salt water pool is a short walk across the grass from both master suites.
There are great walks in the area. One favorite walk is to the main clubhouse or the tennis clubhouse in Mission Hills Country Club. Bicycles fit in the garage if you prefer.
We also like to walk in 'The Living Desert.' There are long walks through the botanical gardens and another walk through a themed African area to the Watusi Village. You will see many desert animals and birds in an open zoo setting. We particularly like the rare local 'Thick Beak Parrots.' These parrots are size of an Amazon Parrot and look similar. They live in our local Palm Spring mountain hills on pine nuts.
The carrosel at the living desert is a tourist site. Whether you ride it or not ... check it out. It features the many desert animals you have been seeing in the living desert zoo walk. Feeding the giraffes is a major event in the mornings. Watch out for their long gentle tongues.
El Paseo is an equally refined shopping area as Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. Similar shops, antique stores and art galleries, boutiques. Try Les Beau Arts Restaurant for lunch or dinner.
Downtown Palm Springs is unique. See the old mission style architecture from early times in the desert and the Follies Revue Theater (Jack Benny used to broadcast his radio show here). Try Lulu's Restaurant for lunch or dinner.
Visit the huge park in Palm Desert surrounding city hall. It is very pleasant with all the lakes. There is an endless supply of sunning turtles. How high can they stack themselves? Also visit the new Aquatic Park nearby with its olympic size heated swimming pools and tall water slide.
Mortons Cactus Garden & arboretum is another fun desert experience. The owners have a love affair with the cactus.
They have a huge variety. This is a classic tourist stop in Palm Springs.
The new Sunnylands, which is on the Annenberg Estate is a popular free Rancho Mirage park walk. The desert botanic gardens are regal and extensive. There is a tour of the mansion. Be sure to schedule it on-line. It is popular as one of America's great mansions. It has been a presidential retreat since Ike.
Joshua Tree National Park is about an hour drive away. Hikes, climbing and trails are throughout the park.
The tram trail at the top of Mount San Jacinto at 8,000 feet is an exciting walk. You take the tram out of Palm Springs to get there and back. The Swiss tram is a tourist site in itself. It is a lot cooler up there. Consider a good sweater or coat. The restaurant at the top of the tram is recommended.
Take a tour of the 'Movie Colony.' When stars were on contract they were required to reside within 100 miles of L.A. Palm Springs fit that bill. Their second homes are a popular tour. Drive by the homes of Elizabeth Taylor, Madonna, Bob Hope etc.
The Rancho Mirage location is very desirable. Mid-valley it is easy to get to Palm Springs, La Quinta or the PS airport.
It is about a 4 hour drive to Las Vegas or Phoenix. Disneyland is 1 1/2 hours away. Los Angeles is a 1 3/4 hour drive. The Temecula Wine region is another 1 1/2 hour drive. Wineries and breweries are extensive. The Solvang wine country (Sideways movie) is a 4 hour drive.
World Class tennis is played in the Tennis Garden in Indian Wells. This is a first class tennis stadium with many outside courts.

Keywords: The neighborhood and the condo itself are private. There is lots of grass and trees. The landscape theme is resort style. Multiple lakes have a thriving duck population.
Mission Hills Country Club is a great place for walking, bicycles, golf, tennis, and croquet...
We have rented property for over 30 years. This is now our only rental property. We have made a hobby out of keeping it in top working condition.
Our background was making high end art product for Disney and Warner Bros. We describe it as middle brow art.
We did a 'hands on' full remodel. It was fun to have the time to do it. We used an excellent designer for paint colors and a professional contractor to put in a new interior courtyard and remove a few walls.
Kathy Morby purchased this condo in 2011
We love living in Mission Hills Country Club. Some of the country clubs in the area have a resort style. This is one of the good ones.
There is large grass areas. trees, flowers and water everywhere.
Road Runners stake out there territory for different areas. A bunny population lives in the shrubs by day and comes out in early evening. Ducks are in the lakes. One white egrite seems the quota per lake..
We bought this unit because it had an oversize attached garage and is light and cheerfully designed. Privacy was a top consideration.
We live about a mile from this rental in Mission Hills Country Club. This gives you easy access, if you need something. We have fully remodeled the unit. It is bright and cheerful .
Private, Freindly, Relaxed, Tons of shunshine, endless restaurants, movie theater selections, Imax theater. Outdoor activities. Golf and tennis.
The unit has a great granite counter topped kitchen. It has a great super location not far from the gate. Some units take 5 to 10 minutes to get to the gates. There are 3,500 homes in Mission Hills Country Club. This unit is 1 minute to exit the gate.
It is perfect for another couple to stay in the second master bedroom. The walk in closet and private patio give separation.
The corner kitchen windows over the sink give a good view of the front park, without being seen.
When the fruit is in bloom try making some lemon cello or some Tangello. Made from fresh fruit it is special.
Easy entry/exit from Mission Hills, centrally located in the area. Responsive owners, well equipped kitchen, attached garage, close to a pool. Enjoyed our two months there a lot. Both the condo and the area. Clean and well maintained unit. No hesitation to highly recommend.
4 minutes to Annenburg Mansion City Park. See one of America's great mansions. 6 minutes to the River Shopping Center. The Living Desert is a botanical zoo with baby giraffes, and the worlds largest miniature train display. El Paseo shopping street is the Rodeo Drive of the Palm Springs area. Cabazon Outlet mall has over 300 shops and is 30 minutes away. The movie colony in Palm Springs is a must see of the stars houses. Stars from the 30's, 40's and 50's. They could only travel 100 miles from LA while working - Palm Springs was there second home.
