In the heart of of Avalon. Steps to the beach -- 1/2 block. Long time favorite of families that have been coming to Avalon for generations. Warm and comfortable with three patios and an ocean view.

Walk to anywhere in the one square mile town including, the ferry dock that gets you to and from the island, front street restaurants, markets and the beach, all within 3 flat blocks!

Have your morning coffee, or what you like, on the sunny back porch while enjoying the mountain views. Watch the boats come in to the harbor or the beach activity from the upstairs balcony.

Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Has two queen size beds, two full size beds, two twin convertible sofa beds. Fully equipped kitchen. Beach chairs and toys. Includes cable TV and WiFi.

This property was bought as a get-away for the family in 1972. We are the children that grew up going to Catalina. We love boating, the beach and the island lifestyle.

Two generations of adult spent 2 weeks in this house. 6 of us with 2 extra guests for 2 nights. We love Catalina Island and visit every few years.

PROS. LOCATION. Located in the first block up from the beach and a couple of lots up from Mi Casita, a great Mexican restaurant. 2 story clean, well maintained home with balconies off both the roomy, upstairs bedrooms (view of the ocean from the front balcony). Upstairs bathroom nicely renovated with a stained glass sky light. Downstairs back porch with washer/dryer, picnic table, and tabletop propane grill. Downstairs bathroom off the kitchen has roomy shower. The kitchen is small, but well equipped (table seats 6 and is in the living room) Since we stayed for 2weeks it would have been nice to have a full sized refrigerator and dishwasher, but we managed just fine. There are flat screen TV's in all bedrooms and living room. The porch and balconies have comfortable seating. There is a surplus of bedding with extras in closets and cupboards. The living room is spacious and had a comfortable easy chair with a foot stool. No air conditioning, but we were comfortable with fall temperatures by leaving windows downstairs and balcony doors upstairs open for cross ventilation. The owners were very easy to work with. Great historical photos on the walls. As we were all adult relatives staying together, the house was a good fit for us. We are looking forward to returning. **The location was fantastic and an easy walk to restaurants, the beach, and stores which was very important for us.

CONS: The first floor bedroom is a walk through between the kitchen and living room and the ONLY kitchen accesss from the rest of the house (the only exit/entrance to the house is the front door). The 2 older, okay sofas had backs that folded down to make twin sized beds (more like futons than sofa beds). But there was a T bed with the Q downstairs and T bed mattress upstairs. There is considerable traffic noise because Crescent Street is closed to traffic for several blocks along the waterfront, so all traffic entering Avalon from the ferry dock or that side of the island is diverted past the house. Even with these minor problems we would certainly look forward to staying here again.

Catalina at is finest vintage charm

This has to be the most exquisite place in all of Catalina. From the moment you enter you will feel at home . The owners have poured so much love into this home. The history of Catalina is told through the art work on the walls. You will enjoy all the photographs, prints and paintings. The nautical theme is so relaxing. The stained glass windows amazing. The rooms are spacious . Besides the home is just immaculate and that is worth it's wait in gold. The owners Chris and Sharon operate with integrity and professionalism. There is only one place I would recommend for convenience and that is this home. Hats off to the incredible owners.

Perfect Location!

This Great home is located in the heart of Avalon just 1/2 a block from the beach, shops, restaurants, and the green pier! It's a really short walk from the boat dock too! The home is comfortable, clean and well maintained.

My family has had a great trip and we will definitely be back again!

Love the View - Great Place!

Just got home from a wonderful week stay at this great Catalina home! We have been lucky enough to stay here for the last two years and it definitely does not disappoint. The location is unbeatable (just a few steps from the beach) and the home is spacious and comfortable. I would highly recommend this location!
