Are you looking for Hotels in Beaufort NC, Bed and Breakfast in Beaufort NC, or Places to stay in Beaufort NC? Sit in rocking chairs on the front porch of this 1910 Historic Beaufort, N.C. Cottage and enjoy a beautiful view of the sailboats moored in Taylors Creek. A creek renowned as a hiding place for Blackbeard, the infamous pirate. In fact, the remains of one of his sunken ships, 'The Queen Anne’s Revenge' was recently discovered only a few hundred yards of where you will be sitting. Watch carefully and you will see the creek's wild horses that have been roaming the island since Spanish explorers left them due to ship wrecks in the late 1700's. Only a few steps from the Cottage, stroll down the town boardwalk and its docks to observe ships and vessels from all over the world. If that does not appeal to you, meander down Front Street, only half a block away and visit an array of restaurants, pubs, shops, clothing stores, a deli and grocery store. However, if you don’t like all the front porch offers, relax and enjoy a mint julep sitting in Adirondack chairs, in a garden surrounded by a white picket fence and the aroma of roses and gardenias. Included is a picnic table and gas grill to test your chef skills.
This 3BR, 2 bath cottage was totally renovated in 2012 and features a modern kitchen with microwave, large living area, dining room, oak hardwood floors, ceramic tile baths, washer/dryer, 38' flat screen TV, DVD and wifi.

My two sisters and I rented this house labor day weekend and absolutely loved the house and the location. All 3 of us are in our 60's and felt like we were visiting our grandparents house. It was so quaint and the furniture was vintage. We spent most of our time on the front porch watching the foot traffic come by. Of course we spent a lot of time on the waterfront either shopping or eating. We also took the double decker bus tour. Hated we missed the upstairs neighbor we love to find out about local history We are definitely looking to rent again. The only draw back we had the kitchen was not stocked with enough large pots or serving bowls
As the title suggests, the location is the best part of this rental. Directly behind Taylor's Grocery, one home away from Beaufort Grocery, and the entire waterfront was within walking distance. The house was okay. It is actually a duplex with someone upstairs. We were surprised when he came down the steps and out onto the porch. We could hear him moving around and whistling. If we could hear him whistle, think of what else we could hear. The furnishings of the living room and dining room reminded us of visiting our grandparents in the 1970's. I felt weird getting glasses out of the china cabinet. The two beds were comfortable and the twin was okay for napping. The cottage served our purpose but we were disappointed in the lack of privacy. We would stay again if nothing else was available nearby.
