An Incredible Home With Every Ounce Of Atmosphere For A Memorable Getaway.
About Amy Linehan
Amy and Dan were recently married and live in Rochester. Amy lived in NYC for close to 20 years and moved back upstate in 2011 to be closer to family and enjoy the country life. Dan grew up in the Finger Lakes and has resided in Rochester for over 20 years. They love to entertain with family and friends and love the surrounding lakes and summers of upstate NY!
Amy Linehan purchased this House in 2012
Why Amy Linehan chose Livonia
When Amy returned from NYC to the Finger Lakes, she happened upon this property and couldn't get it's charms out of her head. It reminded her of travels she had to Europe's country side of France and Italy. The rich history about the house adds to it's charm, and the tranquil beauty captures you immediately. The house was purchased in 2012, and carefully restored and renovated back to it's glory. Afternoon lunches with a bottle of wine in the back garden, transport you to another world and is certainly enchanting. The evening sky bursts with the constellations which seem to go on forever. Throughout Amy and Dan's engagement, parties and dinners were hosted at the house and their guests enjoyed all that it has to offer, from showers, to barbecues and afternoons of games and bond fires. A truly magical spot!

Magical Midsummer Stay
The Reed Homestead is a very special property located in a stunningly beautiful area in Livonia, NY. The views from the house are jaw droppingly beautiful and made a perfect back drop for a memorable evening party in early August. Amy, our contact at the Reed Homestead, was super helpful with party plans and with our check in process and with any questions I had during our stay. The Homestead is beautifully decorated with a kitchen to meet our every need and the beds were super comfy. 5 stars in every area!
What a wonderful home!! The pictures do not do this listing justice. We took this trip to reconnect with old friends. Looking forward to a concert and some wine tasting as well. This home allowed all of the above. We woke and spent our mornings enjoying the beautiful sunrise while having coffee outside on the meticulously groomed back lawn. Returning home after a day of wine tasting relaxing in the spacious living room, reminiscing over old times. The home was spacious and so inviting. What a great weekend from start to finish. The home was stocked with anything you could think of or need. Fresh linens clean towels... the list goes on and on. What a fantastic weekend we had!!! We cannot thank Amy enough for making our time together so memorable and so enjoying!! When we return to the area we would not even consider looking elsewhere for a place to stay!!!
Fran, we're so happy that you and your lovely group enjoyed themselves! It was wonderful to meet you all, and I'm so glad it was a super weekend! It's always a joy hearing that our guests love the house as much as we do...Lots of super memories for sure. Please do come back to see us next time you're in the area!
You can’t get a better place to stay for any holiday, but Amy went above and beyond to ensure that our Christmas stay was nothing short of magical! Lovely, comfortable home with lots of charm and a caring hostess.
Thank you so much Peggy for your feedback. I'm so glad your family enjoyed your stay! Family holidays are so important, and we are thrilled you all enjoyed. We hope you'll stay again when you return to the beautiful Finger Lakes. Also, thank you for being wonderful guests.
This was the perfect place for our family to gather for my daughter's wedding!
The Reed Homestead was what we had hoped for and then some!
The period of the home fit our wedding theme perfectly! The girls had a beautiful place to get ready and the spacious yard allowed for a family gathering the next morning.
Amy was so gracious and helpful.
The Reed Homestead will always hold a special place in our hearts as my daughter's wedding home.
Thank you so much Lynn for sharing your experience. It's such an honor to have our homestead be the choice of your family for your daughters wedding; a truly magical moment! You all were wonderful guests and we are just thrilled the weekend was so special. Thank you for being a special part of our history.
Amy is the sweetest and her house is the epitome of cozy historic perfection. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect home for our stay.
Thank you so much Kasandra for your feedback on your stay. You were so easy to work with and appreciate all the great communication leading up to the stay and during your stay. The homestead is a special place, and so glad you and your friends were happy with the stay. We hope you come back in the future or with your family. Best, Amy Linehan
The historical estate, "Reed Homestead" is close to Honeoye Lake, and the thriving Canandaigua lake. Wonderful country drives, where you can discover antiquing and many local artisans shops. The town of Geneseo is in the opposite direction and is home to Geneseo State University, with a quaint college town setting. Letchworth State Park is 39 miles away with glorious waterfalls, hiking and camping. But staying local, you can hike Harriet Hollister Spencer Recreation Center (breath taking), Cumming Nature Center, and nearby Grimes Glen. Often, guests find it's difficult to leave the homestead with all it's beauty, amenities and relaxed vibe.
