Come enjoy a month or more at a spacious ocean view condo that has the perfect location in Kailua-Kona.
Alii Cove is the newest condo complex in Kona and the closest one to town. You can walk to the heart of town in about five minutes or you can simply cross the street and catch a wave at Honl’s Beach. The complex is gated and beautifully landscaped. You’ll have the use of a resort-style pool and spa, fitness room, and BarBQ/picnic area. There are 4-unit and 6-unit buildings scattered throughout the site. Alii Cove doesn’t feel like a cement monolith, as some other condos do.
This particular unit is special because it is at the top of the complex where the panoramic views are the best. You’re also away from the street noise on Alii Drive. This condo’s gorgeous new tropical furnishings will never let you forget that you that you are indeed in Paradise.
This is a big unit...1377 square feet, including lanai.
We love the layout. You enter on the second story of the building and find yourself face-to-face with the ocean view and the ocean breeze. The bedrooms, baths, and kitchen are on that level. There is a huge loft upstairs that has an ocean view from the front and a mountain view from the back.
This condo comes with EVERYTHING. The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, utensils, plates, glassware…you name it. There’s a blender, coffee pot, toaster, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, beach towels, picnic cooler, 2 beach chairs, beach umbrella, HUGE flat-screen TV, and a washer/dryer right in the unit. All linens, including beach towels, are provided.
Dine at the kitchen table, at the granite breakfast bar, at a bistro table in the master or in the loft, or on the lanai where you can watch the sunset and see the cruise ships come into port.
The master bedroom has a queen bed and oceanview sitting area. The attached bathroom has a tile shower and double sinks. The guest bedroom also has a queen bed. Both bedrooms have lots of storage space. You'll have plenty of room to stow your suitcases out of sight.
The loft upstairs has a queen Murphy bed, bistro table, and reading area. A balcony overlooks the living room.
This unit comes with a parking space that is right outside the unit. Unlike a lot of other units at Alii Cove, the parking lot and the building are on the same level; no need to climb steps to get from your car to the building. That makes for easy loading and unloading.
Another great benefit of this unit is that guests can park short-term on nearby Walua Road. So, there are no worries about parking if you have a party.
There is a 30-night minimum stay required at Alii Cove. You may stay fewer nights, but we must block off 30 nights for each reservation.
We prefer payment by personal check or cashier's check, because there are no extra fees. We do accept PayPal as well. But please add 2.9% (for US guests) or 3.9% (for international guests) for PayPal.

We're semi-retired and split our time between California and Kona.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2011
We've been vacationing in Kailua-Kona for years. We just love the warm weather and laid-back atmosphere. We decided to buy last year, but wanted something different than the 'boxcar' condo layout. This two-level ocean view condo at Alii Cove was perfect. The best thing is that you can walk to town.
There are so many fun things to do in the area. You can drive south to the volcanoes and historical areas, east to Hilo, and north to resorts and beautiful beaches. Don't miss Hapuna Beach, about 30 minutes north of the condo. The 'Turtle Beach' is about 5 miles south of the condo along Alii Drive. Great snorkeling there.
Speaking of driving...Costco with its gas station is about 15 minutes away. It has the lowest gas prices we have found. Of course, COSTCO has everything else under the sun. Near Costco you will also find Home Depot, some consignment stores, and other interesting shops.
Safeway, Target, Lowes, and Ross are in town close to the condo. The International Market Place, which sells Hawaiian arts and crafts, is also nearby.
But you really don't have to drive anywhere. There is so much to do within walking distance. Every morning we walk to Kailua pier and watch the swimmers train. You can stand at the end of the pier and see the tropical fish RIGHT THERE. It's like standing over an aquarium. Sometimes we catch breakfast at Tante's on the way home.
Don't miss the Farmer's Market. It's right in town and open 6 days a week. We bought 6 papayas for $2!
The last time we were in Kona we spent 5 weeks and still wished we had more time.
Highly recommend this Condo. It is spacious, very clean, super comfortable, with heaps of pantry / bathroom extras in a lovely secured property, so close to town a car is not essential. The views out to the ocean are lovely as are the sunsets, and many good nights were spent playing cards around the cute little games table. We have respect for other peoples places and had our own "In house rule" of no food or drinks on carpet flooring and hope others are like minded. Being near the non busy Walua Road has benefits of no traffic noise. Nancy the owner is lovely to deal with and very accommodating. Keep in mind it is on 2nd floor if stairs are an issue. Stayed as a family for Ironman 2015 and this place was a blessing compared to 1 of the 2 Condos we had to book a little further out of town the previous year. Oh love Kona "Mahalo"
We enjoyed our stay here very much. The owners were easy to work with and always quick with their responses to any questions we had. The apartment is nicely furnished and the sunset view is wonderful. Location is right in Kona, close to everything. The pool and grilling area is beautiful -- right on Ali’i across from the ocean! We would highly recommend staying here to anyone!
Fabulous, great place easy to get to.Walking distance two town, ocean across the street, Beautiful place to stay super people to deal with would rent it again in a heartbeat. Kids loved the place and didn't want to come home.
This was our 10th vacation on the Big Island, and one of our favorite locations. The property was beautiful well cared for and we felt at home. The amenities were all there. The short walk 5 minutes to downtown Kona and all of its activities made for enjoyable short trips with much to do. We have recommended it to our friends. From the views atop the location we could see the Cruise ships coming into port, the daily fishing boats taking their passenger out each morning, the outriggers digging their way into port each morning, coffee on the deck, and relaxing with unbeatable sunsets each day.
My husband, myself, and our 2 dear friends had a wonderful stay at this unit in Alii Cove. It was so nice that we booked this unit for the same time next year immediately when we got home (we come out every year for work and have stayed in many places in Kona). From my very first contact with the owners everything was incredibly smooth and easy (just like our stay). The pictures and description are great and exactly what you get.
I would definitely recommend this property to a friend!
Kailua town is a 5-minute walk. Visit the Farmer's Market (papayas: 5 for $2), Lava Java, Royal Kona Resort, Outback, Fish Hopper, Bongo Ben's, historic Kona Inn (love that calamari sandwich), and many other restaurants; library; shopping; art galleries; Hulilee Palace; tourist reservation booths. Catch the glass-bottom boat, dive boats, parasailing boats from Kailua harbor...or watch swimmers train for the Ironman.
Buy food at Safeway (a 5-minute drive), COSTCO (20-minute drive), RTA (an 8-minute drive). Buy clothing etc at: Ross, Target, Sports Authority (all about an 8- minute drive) or Walmart (next to Safeway- 5 minutes).
