We minutes from Bard college, so this is a perfect home for parents coming to visit their kids in college. We are near Tanglewood, Vanderbilt and Mills Mansion - all of which offer wonderful concerts all summer. We are minutes from Historic Rhinebeck or Hudson, both boasting many antique curios and great eateries. We are also within minutes of many wedding locales like Apple Barn Farm and Calendar House so enjoy a late night out and be only minutes from your stay. We are just shy of an hour from Jiminy Peak, Hunter Mountain, Catamount and Belleyare ski resorts favoring skiing and snowboarding in the winter and the mountain slide and rollercoaster in the summer. Try out your favorite vintage at the local wineries or stop in to pick some fresh berries at the Pick-Your-Own Greig farms.
We are also close to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds which holds events throughout the year, including one of the largest and oldest Fairs in the state, the Dutchess County Fair, held at the end of August.
So much to do and see or just relax and enjoy what our house has to offer!

My four friends and I have vacationed in the area for years, but this was the first time we ventured into Tivoli, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The house was a wonderful surprise! It was so light and cheery, we absolutely loved it! We made good use of the well stocked kitchen and loved the big couches in the living room for visiting. Our only real regret was that our trip was too short to use a lot of the amenities the house had to offer. The town of Tivoli is very small, but very quaint with some very good restaurants. The owners were fantastic to deal with. I left a personal item behind and they quickly mailed it back to me. We loved this house so much we booked it again for next year before we even made it back home!
I rented a number of houses in the area for family and friends as I was hosting an event nearby and this house was definitely the best of the lot. Light and airy and spacious with a very relaxed vibe, my guests loved it.
We just completed our second stay here -- four adults (including two seniors) and one 3.5 year old kid. The house is perfect for a group, and for families with kids in particular. We got lots of use out of the great backyard, deck, and fire pit, the well-stocked kitchen, and, especially, the pool. Also, the play room in the basement came in handy on a few rainy afternoons. The location is great for exploring the area. Finally, when a small issue arose, the owners were very responsive and it was taken care of right away. We'll be back!
First I must mention that everything at the home is as pictured and described - no disappointments. The charm of the outdoor space made me not want to leave the property, and we ate all our meals outside as well as morning coffee in the rockers on the porch. Plenty of space for everyone inside as well. All the modern kitchen conveniences and electronic entertainment were there, contrasted by the homey casual décor that said WELCOME in every respect! Kristen does a great job and you would enjoy a stay here!!! (just don't book on the dates I want to return)
I stayed here with a group of friends (8 people total) for a wedding in the area for a weekend. The house is even better than the pictures show. It is incredibly comfortable with everything you could need in a weekend getaway: hot tub, above-ground pool, big deck, "movie theater," big deck, updated kitchen and big yard. We didn't have kids with us but it would have beeb great for kids as well. It slept the 8 of us comfortably. Getting into the house was a breeze and we felt at home right away. This is a perfect place to come with a group; you will be happy just hanging at the house all day!
We had the pleasure of staying at this house for a long weekend. It was a group of four adults, and one toddler. The house is perfect for those traveling with a small child, or I would imagine older children too, as the playroom is STOCKED with toys. They even have a highchair. The movie room as fun. The gas fireplace in the one lower level room as not working, which was a shame since we happened to be visiting on an absolutely freezing weekend (-15 degree temp the one morning) so the downstairs was a little cold. But the upstairs woodstove kept everything up there nice and toasty. We also were not brave enough to go outside to use the hot tub, but we would certainly come back when it's warmer in order to utilize that, the pool, and huge play set. The owners were very quick to respond to the couple of questions we had once we got to the house, and the noon check-in time is very generous.
