Our location and setup here is perfect for one family or sharing the space with another family or couple.
The main floor has a master bedroom with a queen bed and full bathroom. A sliding glass door gives you private access to the deck. The second bedroom has twin beds and a third bedroom has a double bed with a second full bath across the hall.
There is a living room with a glass front wood burning stove to enjoy a fire, eating area and kitchen all in an open floor plan. There is a separate laundry room/mud room off the kitchen. All of our floors are reclaimed yellow pine and tile in the bathrooms and mudroom.
Downstairs, which is a finished basement, has a bedroom with a queen size bed and full bathroom, sitting room with sliding glass doors that lead to the outside, play room for children and the theatre room with Dolby and an 11 ft. screen is also located downstairs.
All bedrooms have linens and down comforters.
Our kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs, blender, toaster,
crockpot, pots, pans, to mention a few. Has been recently upgraded to marble counters and a granite island and all stainless steel appliances.
The deck spans the length of the house in which you have private access to the hot tub, the firepit and the pool. There's plenty of room to sit around the fire, roast marshmallows, lounge by the pool or relax under the wusteria covered arbor.
We minutes from Bard college, so this is a perfect home for parents coming to visit their kids in college. We are near Tanglewood, Vanderbilt and Mills Mansion - all of which offer wonderful concerts all summer. We are minutes from Historic Rhinebeck or Hudson, both boasting many antique curios and great eateries. We are also within minutes of many wedding locales like Apple Barn Farm and Calendar House so enjoy a late night out and be only minutes from your stay. We are just shy of an hour from Jiminy Peak, Hunter Mountain, Catamount and Belleyare ski resorts favoring skiing and snowboarding in the winter and the mountain slide and rollercoaster in the summer. Try out your favorite vintage at the local wineries or stop in to pick some fresh berries at the Pick-Your-Own Greig farms.
We are also close to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds which holds events throughout the year, including one of the largest and oldest Fairs in the state, the Dutchess County Fair, held at the end of August.
So much to do and see or just relax and enjoy what our house has to offer!

Great property, would love to come back in the summer! It was a bit too cold to enjoy the hot tub or outdoor firepit, but the house was very spacious for 8 adults. Would recommend!
We had a great family weekend in this incredible home. There is so much to do including a playroom, theater, playground, two living rooms, bbq, a well equipped kitchen, a hot tub and a fire pit. I think we used everything! (a pool too, but for the warmer weather)
We baked an apple pie (fresh picked apples), made scones and had a great roaring fire at night. The kids loved the swing set and the costumes.
Kristen has binders and notes for details about where to eat, where to go and how to use the various tvs and equipment.
We had a great time (ages 1-63) and can't wait to go back.
Our first visit to rural America exceeded our expectations. A spacious, clean and tastefully decorated house provided every comfort for our stay. We particularly appreciated the lovely tree-lined garden for its peaceful and attractive setting. The stylishly quintessential American town of Rhinebeck was a short drive away and the location was also central to many sites of interest along the Hudson Valley. The owners were very hospitable and accommodating. We would thoroughly recommend this property to any discerning visitor hoping to see some of the best that New York state has to offer.
Everything in the description was accurate and even more. As soon as you enter; it's like a beach house without the sand in the middle of tranquility! The pool was huge and the backyard was prepped with everything you needed (BBQ grill, sitting area, pool chairs, etc). It rained so I wasn't able to use too many amenities but I know I could've had the weather cooperated. The house was clean, spacious, with a modern kitchen and we didn't want to leave! There were books, movies, games, etc. The house is ideal to stay indoors or outdoors. I really liked all the cozy bedrooms and the finished basement with the theater room was a bonus. Kristen was one of the most nicest host one could ask for. She was very accommodating, friendly and had a quick response time. From the beginning communication with her was easy and very pleasant. What I would recommend to anyone is bring your food or if not then go pick up food. Not too many places deliver from the ones I called. Overall I highly recommend this wonderful house to anyone!!
We spent five days at this amazing house. They truly thought of everything to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. The movie room was a huge hit with our 6 year old and comes stocked with many movies for all ages. The pool and hot tub were extremely clean and soooooo relaxing! Cleaning up was a breeze as well, as they don't require you to do much except take trash out and put wet items in a tub; with the normal care you'd usually do. Definitely a must if you are considering this area!
Really enjoyed our few days here. The house is spacious and homely with lots of rooms for kids to go and do there own thing. The pool and hot tub in a beautiful garden make it an ideal place to unwind and visit nearby attractions.
