We reside in Atlanta, GA and bought the property in 2010 to enjoy Highlands' breathtaking beauty and to simply "slow down" every once in a while. With three busy school-aged children, it's difficult for us to visit Highlands often... but we have sincerely enjoyed sharing our home with guests over the years!
Elizabeth Caldwell purchased this house in 2010
This is the second year my girl friends and I stayed at this house. It is the perfect location to the downtown restaurants and shopping. We had 8 staying and it was very comfortable. There are two porches for enjoying the outside, one is screened in and one isn't! Beautiful house and great location. Owners are very responsive!
We recently spent a few days in Highlands and could not have stayed in a more beautiful, comfortable home. The home was perfect inside and out. Several seating areas within the home so we could hang out with each other or go to a quiet spot and read for a while. The screened in porch was the perfect spot for a glass of wine in the afternoon. The bridge leading to the playhouse was amazing and the plush landscaping was visible from all the large windows in the main area. All the bedrooms were very extremely nice, but the master bedroom and bath were like a high end spa. I am already planning another girls trip and hope to stay here again. I would recommend that if you are going to Highlands, you could not find a more beautiful, private and comfortable home to stay in. The location was also good, between Highlands and Cashiers.
Thanks to Chris and Elizabeth for sharing your home with us.
This home was the perfect place to rest and recharge as a family. The home was very clean and comfortable, and even better than the pictures show. We spent most of our time on the back porch enjoying the cool July weather and sounds of nature. This home is well situated for privacy, and we found the community of Highlands Falls to be peaceful and its residents hospitable. The owner is very prompt and considerate with her communication. Thank you Chris and Elizabeth for sharing your home away from home with us, and for making it such a welcoming respite from our busy life. We hope to return soon!
This home is absolutely gorgeous! We loved having our own bridge and private waterfall. It is a very nice home fully equipped with everything you need for your stay.
Wonderful rental home. The house was spotless and very comfortable. We were in Highlands for a wedding weekend with our daughter and her husband and we convenient to the town yet far enough away that we had very peaceful days and evenings. We were tight for time one day and ordered lunch from the clubhouse on the golf course and they were very accommodating. Would recommend to families or a group of friends.
Absolutely wonderful, peaceful, and beautiful house. Waterfall and screened in porch is instant relaxation! Cannot say enough really. Perfect for families, perfect for adults.
