About Hutch (Charles) and Roxa Hutchins
Hutch and Roxa have lived and owned a local business "Sportsman's BBQ Station and Backyard" in Lake City since 2005. We now spend winters in Texas and spend time with our 5 children, spouses, and 6 grandchildren. We've been loving and vacationing in Lake City for more than 50 years.
Hutch (Charles) and Roxa Hutchins purchased this House in 2015
Why Hutch (Charles) and Roxa Hutchins chose Lake City
We renovated this property with our family in mind. When we are all together we need plenty of room. We designed the layout for large families like ours. The location just happened to be a great benefit--playground, park, river, etc. to create a great vacation rental for families with children or large groups who need space.
What makes this House unique
Large and roomy enough to sleep 22 comfortably. Location, location, location. Ample room for parking trailers, OHV's, several cars or trucks. Park and playground out the back door. Large covered patio. Walking distance to most conveniences. Family friendly. Wheelchair accessible. Awesome mountain views. The river is within a stones throw.
Check-in: 4:00 PM

Bigger is Better
We had a great time at the house. Lots of kitchen seating for our large group. Kitchen was very well stocked. The larger knives were dull but that is very typical of VRBOs. We took full advantage of the 2 sets of washer and dryer as well as the second full fridge. Having lots of bathrooms made mornings very easy. Owners were very easy to work with. Thanks again.
Had a great stay in the Hutch house in Lake City.
Very good location and easy to get in and out with razors and motorcycles. So glad we picked this house. Had everything we needed. The only down side was no dressers in most bedrooms. But overall this was a great choice for the group we stayed with..
The house is beautiful. The 3 upstairs bedrooms needs another full bathroom. The house was furnished very nicely. The back porch was cluttered and could have been swept better. The downstairs dryer is not working properly. Owners may not have been notified. We thought the gazebo and river was in the backyard according to pictures on the web. They are not in the backyard. They are behind a park that is at the back of the house. Overall the house is a great place. Loved being in town near all shopping and restaurants. Loved riding our side by sides from the house to the trails. Thank you Lake City for this access. Would highly recommend this house, especially large groups. Thank you for sharing your house with us.
The Property was very comfortable and we had a very nice time in Lake City. We would love to come back again.
Wonderful Stay in Lake City, CO
Great house with lots of bath rooms. Great kitchen and beds. Location in the heart of town was wonderful. This is where I will go again with a big group.

Lake City is located in the most remote county in the continental USA. It's been called the "best kept secret of Colorado". Lake City is surrounded by (5) 14'ers, has the second largest natural lake in Colorado, 4x4 roads for jeeping, atving, and dirt biking. Lake fishing, stream fishing, wildlife viewing, bird watching, hiking, biking, or just relaxing are all activities to enjoy in the most laid-back "old Colorado" town in Southwest Colorado. Summertime is full of activities for the whole family such as 4th of July events including a parade, games in the park, street dance and fireworks at dark, local theatre featuring many local actors, arts and crafts festivals, history month featuring live shootouts of the old west, bike races, marathons, ducky derby, stick horse race, old mines, mine tours, local "zoo", live music venue featuring a summer concert series, quaint theatre with the latest movies, a museum sponsoring ghost tours, historical home tours, beautiful walking trails, and many more .
