Let this beautifully renovated and comfortably furnished old Vermont Barn be your home away from home while visiting Vermont. We're four miles to Johnson and Jeffersonville and eight miles to the Boyden Barn. The airport in Burlington can be reached in less than an hour.

We're centrally located to enjoy all that Vermont has to offer. Some of the finest restaurants in the state are with a thirty minute drive or less. There are also museums, art galleries, theaters and shopping. If you're an outdoor enthusiast, the Rail Trail is just a five minute or less walk away for biking, x-country skiing and walking. Smugglers' Notch Resort for some of the best skiing in the State is a ten minute drive away and Stowe and Jay Peak are within an easy hour. The Lamoille River for fishing and canoeing is in our front yard. And the Long Trail for hiking is two miles down the road.

About Owner/Property Manager

Dave and I are both retired teachers. We bought my family farm back in 1998. We opened the Main House in 2000 as a B&B. Dave, with the help of some friends, renovated one of the barns into this beautiful post and beam year-round home. This Rental Barn/House is across the road from the B&B, very separate and apart. I wanted to move in!

I shared this house with my husband and 2 adult daughters and their boyfriends for a 3 day ski weekend at Smuggs. It was beautiful with plenty of room and privacy for all. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

The location was convenient to the mountain and close to a great grocery store in Johnson. The view was heavenly. We cooked every meal there with plenty of pots, pans etc.

My husband and I agreed it would be a perfect model and location for our dream retirement house. For now, I hope to rent this house again soon!

beautiful, clean and comfy

I had my best friend and her daughter here from South Africa and we decided to take a trip to Vermont. 5 of us stayed in the house very comfortably. We ate in a few nights and it was very easy to use the kitchen which is completely decked out with everything needed to cook and eat a meal. The hosts were very accommodating and pleasant.

Great Property

We were looking for a place close to Smuggler's Notch and found a great house. We have three kids, 12,9 and 8 and the house worked out great for our family. Everything was very clean and in great condition. When we ran out of propane for grill, David quickly ran another tank over to us. Breakfast was delicious and was delivered on time. Overall, it a great place and value.

When warm, gracious and welcoming hosts, lovely views, antique- without- being-overbearing appointed accommodations with breathing room for all, ease of exploration,

and price come together... you have gold. This property and the hosts, Marsha and Dave, are gold. Our only place to stay when in the area!!!!

Awesome Accomodations and Amenities

We stayed here for a week with our three 20 year old boys. Very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Delicious hearty breakfast was delivered to us HOT in -18 degrees before we headed off to ski. Hot water wasn't a problem , even with doing laundry. Beds were cozy and warm. David and Marcia were wonderful hosts, will certainly come back again. You will not be disappointed, we didn't want to leave, it felt like "home"

We stayed in the renovated post and beam house across from the main B & B house. It's charming, spacious and the view from the back deck is heavenly. The post and beam house is even nicer than the pictures Marsha posted. Very clean, nicely decorated, good sized rooms affording some privacy for the multiple guests, and great water pressure in the bathrooms for the water snobs. We had a lovely breakfast each morning at the time we selected following coffee on our gorgeous deck. Our gracious hosts Marsha and David were friendly and informative. Unbelievable value for the money, especially for this region. It exceeded my expectations in every way. We all want to come back for a week next year.

We are in north central Vermont, surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful farm land. Mt Mansfield, Vermont's highest mountain, is just around the corner. There are miles and miles of scenic back roads to explore, lakes to swim in, mountains to ski down and hiking trails to take you into the woods of Vermont. Some of Vermont's finest restaurants are within a short drive. There's something for everyone.
