5 Stars in Location, Comfort, Cleanliness, Value, Service, Accommodation.
If a gorgeous penthouse in Miami, with a constant view of water, boats and air traffic doesn't remind you of "Miami Vice" then you're far too young to appreciate this fabulous unit! (OK, maybe not but you get the idea;it's like being part of a photo-shoot for Travel & Leisure!)
Rest assured the unit is exactly as described; the only thing about the photos is that the view is breath-taking from the unit - breath-taking. "the view" is your constant companion from the kitchen, living area and master bedroom; if you're creative you can even catch the view from the master bath!
The owner is marvelous and will work to assure you have an incredible visit while in the area.
The staff 'and' residents of "The Mark" greeted us at every turn and were always pleasant. Being Southern I wasn't surprised by the first couple of greetings but this went on for 5 days; maybe it's the weather? How can you not be in a good mood when every day looks like 'paradise'?
Hungry? Use the kitchen or better yet, there are multiple yummy options within walking distance. (Try "Crazy about You" located just off the main level or wander to Mary Brickell Village.)
Tired? The beds are great...
Miss your pet? Get on the elevator, I can almost guarantee you'll meet one or more on their way in or out!
Bored? I don't see that happening - just saunter out the front door and take a walk.
Why rent a room or suite in a hotel when you can live like a sultan in a Penthouse at "The Mark"?
Nice size apartment, great layout and well maintained. Breakfast on the balconies was an absolute joy. Convenient location with the building having many features to enjoy - pool, gym, local shop etc..Will definitely be returning.
This was my first time using this site. I normally stay at hotels so I was a bit nervous. Arcelia made things very easy and comfortable for us. She is very prompt in answering calls and getting back to you right away. The view from the penthouse was amazing, valet parking was great along with the location. We will definitely stay again!
I travel to Miami and many other areas participating in medical conferences. On this trip I had A business partner. We stumbled upon the luxurious penthouse of Arcelia Dove and were impressed with the reviews. We were not disappointed. This absolutely awesome penthouse was the nicest place at the best price we have ever stayed. Arcelia is without a doubt the most gracious hostess. I will make every attempt to book this place every time I come to Miami. Thank you Arcelia!

We used the condo to gather and celebrate my sons graduation from Vet School. It was an amazing place with views which totally pull you in. Arcelia and her Husband were so kind and so accommodating. Communication was excellent. If you have the chance to stay here, please do. You will not be disappointed. Parking was Valet and they were fast and gracious no matter how many times we needed our cars. The restaurant and bakery on site were both excellent. The staff was kind and not intrusive. The residents of the tower were also all so sweet and friendly. We had many conversations with them in the elevators. If you want to enjoy Miami and stay in a great place, stay here.
This is a beautiful apartment and waking up every day with the view was a dream. The apartment provided all the comfort we needed. It was a pleasure working with the owner/renter.
Stunning is absolutely the correct word for the view from this penthouse. It has a wrap-around balcony with comfortable seating on both sides, so your only problem will be that it is tough to leave the balcony to go sightseeing. The apartment is very clean, very comfortable and has all necessities. It is a little dated, but not in ways that matter. The AC unit is loud, but it is in the hallway and did not bother us. Nice open kitchen, big well-kept bathrooms, lots of closet space, all good. Our landlady was very welcoming, the valet service worked great. The valet service is complimentary, but we did leave a tip the last day since the car was brought so quickly each day.
We stayed for 4 nights. Some practical tips. The restaurant in the building is good and there are several nice restaurants along Brickell Ave at walking distance. There is a Publix nearby on 13th St for grocery shopping. The trolley stops on Brickell Ave near the corner of 13th St and takes you comfortably to many sightseeing locations. Use it at least once, its free. We also tried the free Metromover (the Financial District stop). It is fun to see the city from that angle too. Don´t forget to stroll along the bayside. Take a walk over the bridge and around Brickell Key and enjoy more beautiful views. It is also easy to drive to e.g. South Miami Beach or Key Biscayne from this location.
Brickell lies south of the Miami River, extending south to SW 26th Road (the Rickenbacker Causeway), and is mostly mixed financial and residential north of Broadway (SW 15th Road), and mostly residential south of Broadway. Brickell is home to 31,759 year-round residents. The area of Brickell south of Broadway is mainly low and mid-rise residential buildings west of Brickell Avenue and high-rise residential to the east of Brickell Avenue. This area of Brickell includes the 'Millionaires' Row' section of Brickell Avenue, home to many expensive residences, and home to many of Miami's most expensive apartments and condominiums, as well as some iconic Miami skyscrapers, such as the Atlantis Condominium.
Although Brickell has traditionally been known as a financial district, in recent years, construction of numerous condominium and apartment towers in Brickell, has extended the upscale residential neighborhood feel of lower Brickell into upper Brickell. Recent construction in Brickell has also enlarged the urban core of Brickell from Brickell Avenue west to the Metrorail line, with new office and residential towers, such as Axis at Brickell Village. As of 2010, 31,759 residents live in Brickell, among them, famous celebrities such as José José, Luis Miguel, Clinton Portis, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.
At the center of Brickell is Mary Brickell Village, with an assortment of restaurants, boutiques, services that create a gathering area for high-class retail and restaurants. Some the best and most well-known names are leasing space in the project. The project is designed after a French style village and attracts social gathering and entertainment.
To the north of Brickell is Downtown, with most of the area's public elementary schools and Miami Dade College's Wolfson Campus. Downtown is also home to the Miami Main Library, as well as various parks, theatres, museums, and sporting venues. South of Brickell is Coconut Grove, with Mercy Hospital, CocoWalk, Dinner Key, Villa Vizcaya, as well as many historic sites and parks. Coconut Grove also has many of Miami's best private schools, such as Ransom Everglades, Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, and Immaculata-Lasalle High School.
West of Brickell is Little Havana, extending from SW 8th St westward. East of Brickell is Biscayne Bay, and eastward along the Rickenbacker Causeway, is Virginia Key and Key Biscayne. Both keys have many public beaches, nature preserves, parks, and various other cultural venues. Also east, along the MacArthur Causeway is South Beach.
