I grew up in Maine and my husband, Louis Johnson, grew up in Hawaii. The Sedgwick house was built on family land in 1997. We now live in Hawaii where Louis teaches math and science at a small private school. Louis and I and our beagle, Tootsie, love spending a few weeks each summer at the Sedgwick house and inviting family and friends from Hawaii to join us. Tootsie retired from her Homeland Security position at the Honolulu airport. We are hikers and have several favorite short hikes near Sedgwick including Blue Hill Mountain and Barred Island. Our favorite longer hikes are in Bar Harbor at Acadia National Park. We also enjoy spending time on the ocean and lakes kayaking. The local restaurants specialize in fresh seafood and wild blueberries and are excellent. We’re sure you’ll enjoy the house and the area as much as we do.
