Greg and I are world travelers who live in South Jordan, Utah, with a second home near St. George which gives us a warmer spot to live in during parts of the winter. The cabin is our gather place for families year round. We'd love to share it with you. There are hiking trails, hotpots, springs and pure mountain air. The cabin offers a roomy mountain retreat and a quiet get away from the city.
Greg & Janet Reed purchased this cabin in 1980
This canyon is beautiful, if you love nature, you'll love this area. It is quite and yet near the bustling city of Park City. Midway is quaint, but offers many fine dinning restaurants.

Located in scenic Snake Creek Canyon right above the Wasatch Golf Course, the cabin is just ten minutes from downtown Midway and 20 min to Park City. In Midway, Pizza Galleria is a fun place to eat and Ridley’s Grocery store has an excellent choice ice cream for only .50 cents a scoop and yes there is ice-skating right in downtown Midway.

The canyon and cabin are perfect for family gatherings and create a cozy place for memories. My wife and even liked the throw-back decorations and furniture. If you are looking for luxury then book a big deal in Deer Valley. If you want a comfortable get-away the cabin is perfect without breaking the bank.
The cabin met our needs perfectly (6 adults and 3 kids). While not luxurious, it was spacious and had everything we needed. We spent our time taking walks, playing games, having snowball fights and spending quality time together. We also learned to make cheese at Heber Valley Cheese, and went sledding at Soldier Hollow. We will be back.
This was the perfect place for our family. A fun cabin and the kids loved it.
This cabin is constructed and furnished with comfy cast-offs from the city home, collected and installed over the decades. Not luxury but warm and sufficient for our group of seven adults. Owners were responsive and helpful.
Our stay was great the kitchen was fully stocked with items to use, the fridge and stove worked great. It’s a great location about 15 minutes to Jordanelle for Ice Fishing and minutes away for Snowmobiling.
There was plenty of space for all of us to have a great time we went with friends and family they had great movies. There is no internet and terrible cell service so we were forced to unplug for the weekend which was actually really nice. We than did what we went for and spent time away with one another and had a great time!
The owners were prompt with their responses to any questions I had and to the approval process. Yes there were dead bugs in the windows seal as someone had previously stated, but if you can look past that and enjoy yourself it’s well worth it. We would stay again.
This cabin is definitely "grandpa's cabin" but was a wonderful place for our family get-together. There are plenty of beds and lots of bedding, a fully equipped kitchen and two areas for watching DVDs or VHS videos. There is a pool table that we loved also. We had a little trouble getting the cabin temperature stable--but it was 8 degrees outside so that was understandable. We had some rooms that were overly hot and some that were freezing cold the first night, but we figured it out for the second night. There is only one bathroom, but the bathroom sink is outside the toilet and shower area and we didn't find this to be an inconvenience at all. The cabin has great access to it, and is only about 3 minutes from great snowmobiling and cross-country skiing trails. The area around the cabin is breathtakingly beautiful. The snow was on the trees and piled deep around the cabin, but we could drive right to the cabin and walk right in the front door. It was a fun place to be together, play games and be away from the world. We went to a Mexican restaurant in Heber the first night and to an Italian cafe in Midway the second night and both were delicious. The owner was easy to work with and communicated well.

The cabin is accessible year round in Midway's beautiful Snake Creek Canyon near Wasatch State Park and Golf Course. It is secluded and quiet yet convenient accessible to Park City, Soldier Hollow, Heber as well as Jordanelle and Deer Creek Reservoir.
It looks close on the map to Brighton and Alta but it's an hour and 20 min. drive. We do have Mill Flat recreation center nearby for snowmobiling. It's an awesome gathering place. You won't be disappointed!
