Great location, it's beautiful old home with lots of character.

  • 4 of 5

We loved being so close to Campobello Island, enjoyed Lubec, eating and visiting with people and visiting local sights. The house is spacious and comfortable.

Our only complaint is that the refrigerator was FULL of food. There were at least 6 containers of mustard, lots of other condiments, half eaten food, etc. We had to put the existing stuff into the vegetable bins to be able to fit any of our own food. The same was true of the pantry cabinets. There was coffee sitting in the coffee pot. If we were just borrowing a friend's home for our stay I could understand. But this is a place that is on VRBO, charges a decent amount as well as a cleaning fee.

Excellent location for easy access to all in the village. Owner Bill was very accommodating to our respective needs. Comfortable beds and no lack of hot water.

All the charm of New England is encompassed in this house.

  • 5 of 5

We have traveled all over the United States including Alaska and have stayed in many rental homes. This was one of the very best. Besides being equipped with everything you could possibly need, including a nice lobster pot, the house is filled with all kinds of New England art. Paintings and artsy crafty pieces from local artists fill the house with a museum like quality. We loved staying here and highly recommend it to any couple or family looking for a place to stay when visiting the Lubec area.

The owner was also very easy to reach and set things up even though we only gave him a few days notice that we were interested in staying.

Lubec Stay

  • 4 of 5

My daughter and I stayed at a vintage cottage very close to the village center and food store, post office, bridge to Campobello. Our dogs were welcome and we found easy places to walk and play. The host was very accommodating and responded quickly by phone to a question when we arrived. Several cozy rooms, each with tv; wifi available too. We enjoyed the back yard and deck as well as the nearby state park.
