Brian And Crystal Cooper have grown up in the Verde Valley and still reside there they have six children including three boys and three girls. Currently their time is spent homeschooling their children and operating a small cleaning business that services all of Northern Arizona. They love the outdoors and enjoy the plethora of trails and outdoor opportunities that are provided in this area. They are thankful to have their family near them and get together frequently. Crystal's Sister Candy owns a small antique store that you will see on your way in named Candy's Creekside Cottage. It is full of AZ collectables and interesting trinkets. She has great prices too so feel free to stop by for an original Arizona souvenir.
This property was custom built in 1998 by Crystals Father. It was intended to be her parents house until plans changed for them half way through the building process. The house was to become a spec house but Crystal decided that she was in love with it and convinced her father to let her buy it and help him finish it. Each stone in the flagstone floor was handpicked and placed by Crystal and her father. Being an Arizona resident and custom home builder for many years each home was built with a reminder of our great state. Sometimes it was an stain-glass window of the AZ Flag or a custom piece of flagstone shaped like the state of Arizona. This house has the signature AZ flagstone and an added twist. Crystal has had a great love for angels forever and decided to put one in the entry way as her own signature. When the Custom patio was later built by Crystal and her husband she later put one there as well additionally you will find dancing lizards the strength bear a saguaro cactus with a bird perched on its arm and other custom features throughout the house. It has custom doors that were built using native yucca collected near by. Many of the materials used to create this custom home were collected nearby as it was the owners desire to have it be a completely original and unique home. This home still holds the heart of Crystal and her husband Brian who plan to retire there some day. For now it is available to you because it is simply to small for their family of 8. Please enjoy it!!
This is a beautiful property that is equipped for entertaining as well as rest and relaxation.
We come to see relatives in Camp Verde and like a little privacy instead of sleeping on floors in their house. This house was relatively close to our family's place and we got to each have our own space. This house was great for what we wanted. They even let us bring our dogs! The heater did go out but the owners father came on Thanksgiving day to turn on the wood stove and a technician was called and the heater was fixed before we made it back to the house that night. They were very helpful even on the holiday. I am very late in posting this review but still wanted to do it. We stayed there in November of 2013.
My wife and I spent 2 weeks here seeing the sites, and Sedona. We had friends join us for Easter. I will start with the good points. The house was very roomy and well set up for 2 couples, each with a comfortable bed and private bath. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils, dishes and cutlery. Big screen TV with lots of DVD's.
However, I do have to partially agree with the previous review from Norman A. Lots of the drawers and closets are full of old clothes, toys and, well, junk.
The yard includes an above ground pool full of dirt and leaves. There is a
non functioning, dirty hot tub. The yard contains rusty appliances, broken bicycles, broken pots and tiles, and, more junk as well as the amenities mentioned in the ad. This could be a 5 star rental if they would just haul away several pickup loads of 'stuff'.
Leaking ceilings, filthy refrigerator w/broken icemaker/water dispenser, torn curtains, clutter in all the closets, and broken down and overgrown pool out the kitchen window are just a few of this property offerings. The pictures that show the property were taken long ago before the property was let to deteriorate. The only place to put clothes in the second bedroom was a cheap white plastic 3 shelf stand stuffed in a closet full of junk. The back yard is a disaster with junk scattered throughout the property. The "Grill" and house has not been cleaned for years and the area behind the TV is a disaster. We booked the house for the month of Feb but a death in our immediate family caused us to return home on the 10th. I was told I could have a discount next Feb but no refund was offered. Any problem encountered during our visit was basically DIY. It is unfortunate that the owners are more interested in obtaining money from the property than they are in maintaining it. I wish I could attach some of the pictures of the property I took to show the actual state of the property. VRBO had obviously never looked at the property. I don't know what type of people stayed here before but they sure saw things differently than what we found. During my 38 year military career I stayed in some bad places but this one is the pits. I would not recommend this property to anyone.
Our family of five loved this home. I loved all the décor both inside and outside. We are from PA and this made our Southwestern vacation even more special. We loved the location. Crystal informed me that this home was outside of Sedona. This home is in a lovely area and we found it to be a perfect location for us. We traveled to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Jerome, Flagstaff, and many other areas with great ease. This was home every evening. We would stay here again.
We attended a wedding in Sedona so the location was good up high on a bluff the stars were beautiful. The house is very cute just a couple things the shower in the master bath did not work. and the main bath toilet handle was loose. Make sure you put everything away at night due to ants.(it is the desert after all). All in all a great visit with a great family one more thing the basketballs were flat.
We had such a wonderful experience staying at this property! It was perfect for our family with young kids. The separate master bedroom and bathroom was great because we had my in-laws traveling with us. The backyard is huge with lots of things to keep kids busy- basketball court (lighting for night available), swing set, slide, scooters, push cars, and a big seesaw. The patio is also large with lots of seating, a great easy to use BBQ and additional night time lighting. Inside the house you have all the supplies you might need provided. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, silverware, dishes, etc. There are tons of movies to choose from and fun video games for the kids as well! I was surprised at how gorgeous the views were from the neighborhood where the house is located. We enjoyed playing at the community park by the creek near the new foot bridge. The kids threw rocks in the water and would have been able to easily wade in the water if we had brought towels. Crystal was easy to talk to and get in contact with for any questions/concerns. You should stay here!
