We are a young couple and just LOVE the city of Quebec, especially the old port and 'lower city' area. We love to travel and rent vacation rentals in foreign countries. We find that's it's a great way to discover the real lifestyle of a city.
David Bussieres purchased this condo in 2011
It's one of the most beautiful area in the city. It's waterfront location is very inspiring and romantic. The possibility of watching Robert Lepage's famous 'image Mill' is a great feature. The rooftop terrace is an incredible spot to have a drink at sunset, or for dinner. It's very close to the Museum of Civilization. The cable-car called 'Le Funiculaire' brings you right in front of Château Frontenac and offers a great view of the Lower city.
We are a couple in our 60's, stayed in this lovely condo 5 nights. Although some may have an issue with climbing 2 flights of stairs, (and 3 more flights to the rooftop deck), we just viewed it as exercise! It is extremely clean, nicely decorated, and well equipped with a kitchen and a washer/dryer. A five minute walk takes one to the Vieux Marche, a wonderful enormous market where vendors sell a huge variety of local fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, poultry, fish, cheeses, wines, ciders, wines, beer, pastries and other local delicacies. Petit Champlain and the funiculaire to Haute Ville is a ten minute walk. There are shops and restaurants just outside the rear of the building. Parking is conveniently located across the street, and the boardwalk is lovely. We enjoyed every minute in this condo.
This a wonderfully redone condo steps away from Old Quebec. The condo is beautiful and the upstairs deck is a bonus. The rental agency was easy to work with and the condo was super clean. I only gave the property four stars because we stayed with our two kids and the pull out couch isn't really a sleeping option. The mattress is super thin and just visually looks uncomfortable and it is. It was so uncomfortable that one kid preferred to sleep on the floor. This condo should not be advertised for more than two people unless they invest in a better pull-out couch.
Excellent apartment fully renovated, new and with everything you would need. I It was extremely clean. We were kind of apprehensive of staying in the old port but were we in for a big surprise. From the living room windows you can see a small street where you have all kind of shops, cafes, pizzeria, pastry shops and coffee shops. We thought we would have to be using the funitcular to get to the old city but we started walking and before we even knew it we were at the old city. Even had a parking in front of the building which was very convenient since parking is so expensive. We loved it and would definitely recommend to familiy and friends and would return if possible.
5 minutes walk from the old port Market where local farmers sell their freshly harvested products
