We had six adults staying at the house for a week. The house was bigger than I thought it would be based on the pictures, and very nice. It was a very comfortable location and beautiful sights all around, every direction that you look. Andrea was extremely helpful with making arrangements for our travels and day trips. Anastasio was very attentive to every need that we had and is a wonderful person to work with. We had Maria cook all of our dinners, and they were all delicious and very plentiful. This place is a true Slice of Heaven on Earth. I would highly recommend renting this property. We will be back. Thank you Manuel!
Absolutely delight that you enjoyed the house and enjoyed your stay! Look forward to your return!
Amazing weekend away
Everything about this trip was perfect other than we should have stayed longer. Maria’s food was perfect topping of beautiful property. Help with transportation from Guate City was amazingly helpful! All in all a great location!
The lake house was wonderful. Exceptionally clean, beautiful, and remote but with lots of places to explore via a quick boat ride. Our travels around the lake were amazing! There were four of us but the house would have easily fit more!
Fantastic stay at a lovely property.
There are no roads to Casa Amarillo which makes this place a sweet get away as long as the neighbors are gone. A short boat ride can get you to San Marcos or any other town on the lake. The master suite has the best view of the volcanos and the best wifi. The two bedrooms on the lower level are quaint and I really liked having access to the yard. The main living area includes the kitchen and the patio was comfy if you want to sit and relax. The house could use a few minor repairs We did ask Maria to prepare a meal for us on the day we arrived, it was a feast! Andrea is a delight to work with and made several of our transportation arrangements. I would stay here again......if you walk up the hill behind the house there is a trail that leads to Jaibalito, a small community with great restaurants as well as La Casa del Mundu where you can swim, get a massage, rent kayaks or just chill. There is a small fee but the swimming areas are safe, go in the morning when the lake is calm. Much to do around the lake but take cash, most ATM's don't work, maybe in Panajachel. If you are coming from Guatemala City, buy your groceries there before heading to the lake. Relax and enjoy!
