Beautiful!!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

The location of this is fantastic the views are bar none. The carriage house is really really spacious and everything's in Tip-Top shape the views from the deck of Pikes Peak are incredible the property all around is very well maintained lots of fun farm animals to hang out with. Chuck and Joy were very kind and showed us inside the barn and told us about all the animals on the property. A very peaceful beautiful place to stay I would definitely recommend staying here. This is a great place to have as home base because there are so many things to do in each direction that you go.

A Unique Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is above the garage. It is spacious, clean, quiet! Lots of comfortable seating, very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen. But the uniqueness of this location is what makes it so special. We loved the amazing view of Pike's Peak from the apt. balcony; watching the farm animals from the balcony - well loved llamas and horses; walking out the back gate to enter a National Forest area for hiking (where we were excited to see a coyote). Saw deer on the property and a herd of elk on the adjacent ranch. Just beautiful.....and many great places to visit within 20 to 30 minutes drive (and a beautiful drive in all directions.) Wished we could have stayed longer......next time!

Life as it should be!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Elkwood ranch. The views of Pikes' Peak and the ranch land from the large well furnished deck are fantastic, and you could watch the sun rise from a large window in the bedroom. We saw some great wildlife from hummingbirds to prairie dogs, and hawks soaring. In addition to the natural wildlife, as a working farm we also got to meet some Lamas, goats, horses, sheep, and dogs. Even with all the wildlife and farm animals things were very quiet and peaceful. Upon our arrival we were shown around the well appointed apartment, given advice on local trails, restaurants, and points of interest by Chuck. After our introductions we were left alone, but told if we needed anything, just ask.

Thanks again Chuck and Joy for sharing your wonderful ranch.

Peak experience

  • 5 of 5

Plenty of space, comfort and all the daily comforts and accessories you could want. Comfortable large bed with giant window onto the horses and llamas outside. And a spectacular view of Pike's Peak from the huge deck. Other than that, it was pretty nice.

Wonderful View

  • 5 of 5

The place was beautiful, nicely decorated, clean, open and surrounded by nature. Every view was wonderful from sunrise to sunset. Nothing but the sounds of animals and nature, very peaceful and relaxing after our day trips. We plan to return and stay at the same place again,
