The Buckleys are lovers of all animals.
Chuck Buckley purchased this apartment in 2012
We built this carriage house to share our wonderful setting with our friends and clients.
Our property borders the Pikes Peak National Forest. Exit our gate and enter 100s of miles of pristine and quiet mountain trails. World class fly fishing is located but a short drive away, as are fun dining locations and Cripple Creek gambling
IS THE PEOPLE! It is always a pleasure to welcome new people -and returning friends- to the ranch. I mean, where else can you show off new puppies, supply fresh eggs, and help folks enjoy the terrain of the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
I am a city girl but a country/farm girl at heart. I absolutely love every minute of our experience at Chuck and Joy's place. The peaceful and majestic property is breathtaking. We are parents of 3 and took this weekend just for us. Husband and wife. It was refreshing and being in that environment you really are able to "check out" and relax/rest in a way we are never able to do at home! We have been before and did all the activities and sight seeing which was equally amazing so whether you are looking for a time of adventure or a time of rest this place offers both!! As I said I'm the title.....I could live there.
My wife and I came up for a week of hiking and running in the Pikes Peak region. We have stayed at many places, but we both agree that we enjoyed this stay at the Carriage House better than any and it is now one of our favorite places. We hope to come again. Mr. and Ms. Buckley made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. It was extremely peaceful and the view from the balcony of Pikes Peak, the Catamount area, and the Buckley ranch were second to none. I spent a great deal of my early mornings and late evenings on the balcony. We highly recommend this wonderful place, especially to couples who want to get away for a while.
The carriage house has a patio that offers a panoramic of the snow capped mountains and adjacent forest, occasioned by the Buckley's flocks of llamas and horses.
Interior furnishings were comfortable and more than adequate, bordering on luxurious.
Great cabin guest house. Chuck and Joy were friendly and helpful. Their property is adjacent to a national forest where we hiked. The nights were quiet, cool and perfect for sitting out on the deck and watching the stars. The interior was beautiful and new. Loved it.
Debby and I have been to the Woodland Park & Divide areas several times however this trip was one of our favorite visits due to this wonderful VRBO property and our hosts. The carriage house exceeded our expectations and the surrounding 105 acre ranch property made our stay very relaxing. The owners made us feel at home and included us in their community events. From the second story deck we had a fantastic view of Pikes Peak!! We plan on returning to this property within the next few months. We would have to rate this VRBO a 5, Excellent.
Absolutely amazing in every way. We live downtown Denver so we wanted to experience something completely opposite of the city life and that is exactly what we got, and more!! The owners made us feel right at home and allowed us to venture out on their 120 acre property full of horses, llama's, sheep and the most adorable puppies ever!! The apartment we stayed in was beyond our expectations and we could have moved to right in. Our only regret is that we did not have more time there! However, we will be back!!!
