About The Owner

I have lived in Jackson Hole for 28 years, and find it one of the most beautiful places on earth.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2004

Why The Owner chose Jackson Hole area

The Aspens is a unique property, because it has a tremendous amount of open space, with amenities like tennis right outside the door.

What makes this condo unique

I love the fact that some of the best skiing in the world is a five minute drive away, Grand Teton National Park is less than 20 minutes drive, and Yellowstone National Park is one hour drive.

For travelers without a car, the START (Southern Teton Area Regional Transit) Bus provides transport to the ski areas, the Town of Jackson and nearby restaurants.

Just OK

  • 2 of 5

Roomy, well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Clean. But the carpet was old and very stained, kitchen cabinetry also old and needed updating.

Great value for an awesome location

  • 3 of 5

It's hard to beat the price for the location. If you are looking for luxury accommodations this is not your choice, but if you want a relatively inexpensive option that is close to Grand Teton Park then this is a great option. Our biggest complaint was that when we arrived the condo hadn't been cleaned. It was late at night so we ended up cleaning it ourselves since we didn't really have any other option. The owner apologized and made sure the cleaning people came the next day. He indicated he would refund some of the cost of the stay but I haven't seen the refund which is why I rated the property 3 stars.

Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

The condo was in a great location!!! Extremely close to everything! We spend 3 days in the area, but easily could have spent a whole week. The condo was nice, and had all of the accommodations that we needed for 4 guys. I would highly recommend this place as it is a good price, in an amazing location!

Aspens adventure

  • 5 of 5

This condo was perfect for me, as I had planned to stay for a six months adventure culminating in the purchase of a house in Jackson. Because of the location, I was able to be at the JHMR or in Jackson In no time. The decor was simple, practical and sufficient. The well-stocked kitchen allowed me to bake brownies and even to present a full course dinner on occasion. I really liked being on the end of the building and upstairs, especially when it snowed! The feeling was one of the Old West and one of openness.

Trees were golden; condo not so much

  • 2 of 5

Jerry the owner was very responsive by email. That being said, just want to put out legitimate information about this property as the 5 star ratings that led us to book were very misleading. The condo is very, very tired and badly needs updating. Window blinds were broken, one window would not close and shades for sliding glass door to balcony were only half present. No soap of any kind; no paper towels, no trash bags ( we always e,pty and remove trash upon our departure.). There were plenty of sheets and towels and the condo seemed clean...although chipped paint and worn wood everywhere made it seem less clean that it might have otherwise. Condo was very quiet. Condo is essentially one large room with kitchen, TV, "breakfast bar" and sitting area all together. There is no privacy or division of space, so everyone better want to do the same thing at the same time. Bathroom/laundry facilities off the main room, with doors as one would expect.

We contacted Jerry the first morning by email about soap, broken and missing blinds, and he replied very quickly. He said he was sorry about the soap and that the cleaning person must have forgotten. He apologized for the other issues offering that the place had been almost continually booked "and he'd have maintenance stop by and fix the window after we departed." No offer to have cleaning person bring soap or have window fixed during our stay.

The nightly price was very affordable, especially compared to other properties in the area so

perhaps that should ha e been a red flag.

Again, Jerry was responsive, but this property needs some help; it was built in the 70s and looks every bit of it's age. When we travel we expect and have always had basics; soap should be a given!
