Tell me more about the apartment and the area: This property is located high above the village of Okrug Gornji and has stunning views over the islands. It is in a very tranquil location, right beside a green belt area. The apartment building itself has only 8 apartments and our representative Bozena lives on the ground floor. This apartment is especially well laid out for large groups, as the main bedroom with private balcony and ensuite is separated from the other bedrooms by the living space. The kitchen is very well equipped and has all modern conveniences. Two of the bedrooms have superking/6ft beds and the third room has 2 single 3ft beds. All have extremely comfortable foam mattresses. In addition the couch in the living room can convert into a double bed. All rooms have air conditioning. There is a large terrace off the main living room with stunning views. This connects with a terrace off the main bedroom. There is also a 3rd terrace off the other double bedroom, overlooking the green belt area to the side of the property. The swimming pool is located on an elevated site just behind the apartment and is for the private use of the 8 apartments only. It has sun loungers, umbrellas and a shower. The beach is 450m away and is easily accessible on foot. The walk downhill takes approximately 10 minutes - please be advised the walk back will take longer, particularly in the heat. Please be aware if you have mobility issues that this apartment may not be suitable for you as it is located on a hill above the village of Okrug Gornji. The apartment is also on the second floor of the building and there is no lift. Also bear this in mind if you are travelling with small children.
Once final payments have been received, we will forward a welcome pack with information on the apartment and the local area, as well as details on ferry times and recommendations for local restaurants.
What airports will get me close?: SPLIT AIRPORT: Ciovo is a mere 15 minute drive/taxi from Split airport (which is just outside Trogir). Split airport is served by many low cost airlines. In addition, many companies offer weekly charters. Flight time from the UK & Ireland to Split is about 2 1/2 hours.
ZADAR AIRPORT: Zadar is a small airport north of Trogir. RyanAir flies directly to Zadar from Ireland (Dublin) and the UK (London Stansted). It is about a 1hr 15 mins drive from Zadar to the apartment and most of this is on the A1 motorway. There is a toll of approx 5 euro each way.
How to get to the apartment: BUSES & TAXIS: There is a regular bus service between the airport, Trogir and Split. A taxi for 4 people from the airport to the apartment should cost no more than 30 euro.
PRIVATE TRANSFERS: We have a local driver who can collect you at Split, Zadar or Dubrovnik airport and transport you to the apartment for an additional cost (prices available on request).
CAR HIRE: Car hire is readily available and all the major international car hire firms have a presence in Split, Zadar and Dubrovnik airports. If you are arriving by car, directions to the apartment will be sent upon confirmation of booking.

About Hilary Cronin
My husband Stephen and I fell in love with Croatia when we visited in 2007. We spent 2 weeks travelling between Dubrovnik and Zadar and decided on the flight home to Ireland that we would like to buy there. So we did just that in 2008 when we bought 2 apartments on the island of Ciovo, near Trogir. It was also the year we got married so just a little chaotic! We love to spend our holidays in Croatia, travelling with friends and family or just with our own children. It is an idyllic place to vist and we still love it 10 years later!

Why Hilary Cronin chose Municipality of Okrug
Why book our apartment? 1. The apartment is huge (120m2) so easily accomodates large groups. The layout (main bedroom separated from rest of apartment by living space) allows for great privacy. This is particularly important if 2 groups are travelling together or there is a large extended family (where everyone needs their own space!). 2. The shaded balconies provide fabulous spaces to relax and unwind, read a book, share a meal........ 3. Apartment finished/furnished to a very high standard. 4. Competitive pricing and hassle free booking process. 5. No hidden costs. The price you pay includes all utilities and full clean on your departure. If you are staying 2 weeks or longer, the price also includes weekly changes of bed linen and towels. 6. Bozena - the lady who manages the apartment. Speaks excellent English and always on hand to help out. She is a fantastic source of information and will resolve any issues that arise quickly and without fuss. 7. Complimentary food package on arrival. Detailed welcome pack sent once final payment made. 8. Free WiFi in apartment. 9. Our excellent reviews!
What makes this Apartment unique
The first time we saw this property we were bowled over by the breathtaking views from the balconies, over the sea, mountains and islands. We were also taken by the tranquility around the apartment. Even though you are just minutes from the bustling village of Okrug Gornji, it is peaceful, quiet and calm. We were also impressed with the large size of the apartment. At 120m2, it was considerably bigger than any other apartment we viewed on the island. That, coupled with the large balconies, gives a great sense of space inside the apartment. This is important on those occasional wet days when you are house bound. Or when you travel with 2 young children and all their belongings!

Lovely spacious apartment with stunning views
Apartment was really spacious and having 2 bathrooms was a real plus with 5 adults sharing. Really well equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. Was great to have such big balconies, plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the afternoon and evening sunshine as well as watch some spectacular sunsets. In the hot Summer months I imagine you would need some blinds/canopy to pull down to give some relief from the hot sun.
Overall we had a great week, despite some iffy weather, and it was lovely to be back in the pretty and peaceful area of Okrug.
Spacious accommodation with a great view
The apartment was more than big enough for our party of five, with a lovely view over the surrounding area. The walk up to the apartment from the beach is very steep, and I found it hard work, which didn't get any easier as the week went on! The pool area has 7 sunbeds and on the 4 occasions we used the pool we were the only ones. We took the boat into Trojir several times, which we all loved. We also drove to Krka national park, which was good, but over priced, and would have been better later in the year when there was more water on the falls.
This appartment was a exellent choise for us
A exellent choise. Great wiew, good contiditons, nice welcome. A perfect holiday for two adults and two tenageers.
Exactly as advertised :)
We just came back from two week holiday (first in Croatia) and we were very happy with the apartment and service that came with it.
The apartment itself was perfect for our group - 2 senior citizen, 2 adults and three kids. It had enough space and all the comforts we needed. Although can't vouch for TV or music system since we never had time to turn them on. The outside grill was a nice touch and even if not the latest model it got the job done easy enough and we did use it to make a lunch or dinner several times. The pool is very handy and we all used it several times on early evenings after coming back from beach. It is also a a good alternative for those who don't want to walk or take taxi uphill on hot days. The only surprise for us was that the main fuse will "blow" is all the ac + oven + washing machine are in use simultaneously - but this we could have guessed. The solution was to turn some of them off and flip the main fuse back on in the fuse box located just inside the apartment high on the left wall.
Bozena was as helpful as stated here before. She even hooked us up with WiFi the first day.
The tourist Assistance Service (Vjenceslav Raukar) that Bozena arranged to pick us from airport was great and I highly recommend using them during your stay. The prices are fair but the real value comes from service. Reliable, friendly (the kids called him our Croatian Uncle) and helpful. On the way to apartment we were shown the location of supermarkets, restaurants and walking paths + with very reasonable price we were driven to supermarket and back with loads of drinks and food. We were also recommended some day trips and offered transportation services for them. Even that I usually drive a rental I was very happy to just sit back and relax and let the local pro handle it this time. We went with them to waterfalls and rafting (Omis) + trip back from Split (went there by taxi-boats). Highly recommendable trips all.
Spacious and stunning views
We had a fabulous first visit to Croatia and will certainly be returning. The apartment was clean, nicely furnished and the views from the balcony are stunning. We had fantastic service from the owners who were very helpful and from Bozena, the manager who was really friendly and provided some good local knowledge. We loved the resort, Trogir and Split are must do trips and we tried quite a few local bars and restaurants and didn't have a bad experience anywhere. The locals couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, overall we had a brilliant holiday. The hill to the apartment is steep though but worth it for the comfort and views.
We really enjoyed our holidays at the apartment. Bozena was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and well-maintained, the view on the sea was great.
We surely will come back one day und we can recommend the apartment to everybody interested in having a great time in croatia.
The old town of Trogir is a UNESCO world heritage centre and is a maze of narrow cobbled streets, full of small intimate restaurants, bars and ice-cream parlours. Lovers of cultural and historical monuments, original architecture and art can wander around at their leisure, soaking up the history. The waterfront, with its long promenade, bars and restaurants is particularly popular at night. Indulge in some celebrity spotting as luxury boats come in to moor. SPLIT - Split is a shoppers paradise, whether wandering through the narrow cobbled streets or haggling for bargains at the large outdoor market. When you need a rest, where better to enjoy a cup of coffee than on the expansive marina looking out onto the islands of Brac and Hvar. PRIMOSTEN, a gorgeous islet 20 minutes north of Trogir. The prefect place to spend a day exploring. KRKA Waterfalls-enjoy a leisurely walk through the forest, spectacular views of the waterfalls and the chance to swim in the lake. Other Activities: quad biking, white water rafting
