Lovely stay in a lovely palce

  • 5 of 5

It is a home, well furnished, well maintained, relaxing cottage in a gorgeous setting.

The rooms are specious and bright. Comfortable beds and generous floor plan. There were three of us and we definitely appreciated the en-suites!

We will be back. And I am telling other family and friends.

Such a wonderful relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was well equipped with all we needed. Having 2 small dogs we had an absolute bonus with the amount of land they had to run around in freely but securely. Can't wait to save up and book again.

Beyond expectation

  • 5 of 5

The property was so much bigger than we expected. The décor had touches that made it feel very homely. It was immaculate in its cleanliness. I will always remember every morning opening the barn door to be greeted with views to die for. It was well equipped and the fresh eggs were very welcome. It was very quiet and about 10 mins drive away from the nearest village. We were so excited when we first got to the cottage and our excitement never went away all the time we were there. I did laugh though as the four poster bed on the ground floor came up to my armpits, so there was no way I would be able to sleep on that bed unless I had a step ladder. It was a good job my friend was tall. This was such a wonderful property and has set a high bench mark for any further places we stay.

Owner's Response: I will ask John our carpenter to make a small set of steps that can be kept under the bed so next time you visit you can try out the 4 poster. Yes, the views from the south facing terrace are spectacular and the Carmarthenshire countryside is particularly beautiful in the late Spring. I have passed your comments on to our lovely Housekeeper Amanda as she definitely deserves a pat on the book for making sure the cottage is in perfect conditon every time for incoming guests. Jenny

We have just returned from staying at Barley Cottage and our stay was perfect. The cottage is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. We received a warm welcome from Jenny upon arrival. The views are breathtaking, we really did not want to leave. Our dog Boris loved the grounds of the Bwlch Tre Banau Estate. We can not wait to return to this wonderful cottage for more peace and relaxation.
