Nestled in the woods overlooking Keuka Lake, this log cottage has all the amenities that will make this a dream vacation for you. With 3 sets of bunkbeds, a queen bed in the main bedroom and 2 full baths, this cottage will easily handle up to 8 family members and friends. The full kitchen with breakfast bar adjoins the cozy living area that is overlooked by the loft room. Formally dine on the enclosed porch, picnic on the full front porch or eat on the dock and watch the sunset over the lake. The first floor opens to the driveway level, has a bedroom, full bathroom, laundry room and recreation room with universal weight machine.
A short walk down the driveway and across the road takes you to the spectacular tiered waterfront and dock area. The permanent dock is large and has plenty of room for sun bathing and water sports. A separate dock can be used to dock your boat. Two kayaks are available for your use. (The hoisted boat is not available but the local marina will rent you a boat if you'd like. East Bluff Harbor is just 5 miles north of the cottage on East Bluff Drive.) The enclosed hot tub is located overlooking a large lawn area that has ample room for sun bathing and playing family games. Fire pits are located on the lawn by the water and in the very private lawn next to the log cottage.
Located near the end of East Bluff Drive on Keuka Lake, the area is secluded with very little traffic. A 15 minute drive takes you to Penn Yan for supplies, shopping, entertainment and dining. The Finger Lakes region offers a multitude of entertainment possibilities within driving distance, including tastings at wineries on Keuka Lake and throughout the Finger Lakes.
We have weekly rentals In Season and nightly rentals Off Season. We do not rent from November to April. Please email owner for available dates. We are sure you will love your time here!
If you enjoy the woods (the cottage is located on the hill overlooking the lake, surrounded by woods) , are interested in water sports (kayaking, boating, swimming, paddle boarding), lawn games, bonfires, hot tubing, wine tasting, grilling and of course relaxing, then this is the cottage for you. The cottage is located on a quiet cul-de-sac at the end of the Bluff minimizing road traffic.
Air conditioned log cabin with large front porch overlooking the woods and the lake. Hot tub with lake views, large sitting/swimming dock, expansive lawn for lounging or games. This property has it all.
The cabin was nice and fairly new, we had a great time. Excellent climate control, everything that you need as far as kitchen equipment and supplies. Not a huge cabin and not much closet space, but mostly adequate. An excellent owner, and they will make sure that everything is in order for you.
A couple nice places to boat to close by, be sure to hit the Switzerland on Sunday afternoon for an outside band on the deck with drinks and appetizers. It's directly across and slightly right, look for the green umbrellas. To the right of your dock and down by the point, look across for the Lakeside, nice outdoor dining and good food with a band playing.
A couple oh by the ways, the hot tub is 165 steps down the hill, the dock at least another 165. The picture kinda leads you to believe that its next to the cabin, this would be an issue if you were older. This is no cheezy hot tub, but a really nice, large tub with a lot of jets in a gazebo.
There is no place to park bigger than a 16' boat trailer and it's on a narrow dead end street with no turn around, plan to park at the State Park and leave your trailer ($7), a 6 mile boat ride back. Penn Yan has a free launch but $5 to park and its 11 miles away. 5 miles away is another launch, but $25 and they have to launch it for you.
This cabin has a narrow driveway and semi-difficult to maneuver, don't plan to take your boat to the cabin to unload, it may not be possible. Bring lots of boat fenders for the guest dock, the lake is rough on the weekends and the paint on my boat got hammered.
The cabin livingroom is pretty small, probably 7' x the width of the cabin with a really small TV on cable. The diningroom table is missing, the picnic table is in the eating area which is an enclosed porch but nice. You'll not find the fan control in the living room, its behind the china closet. Lighting is really bad, especially in the dining area and master bedroom. The exercise equipment in the ad does not exist, but hey, you're on vacation. A better description of the cabin is a 2 level + loft, not 3 stories as the ad says. I must say that everything was clean and well kept.
The closest gas station is about 6 miles away by the State Park, they only accept cash. Penn Yan is 11 miles away and the closest place for supplies.
Over all, I don't regret our decision to stay there and we had a great time. Plan to spend your nice evenings at the dock, in the lower yard around the fire pit, or soaking in the hot tub.
