I live in Philadelphia and I am a competitive dragon boat racer and outrigger canoe paddler.
Tiki is a dream come true! It's truly the most relaxing place in the world and I can drop my boat in right in at our little beach and enjoy the sunsets.
Private beach and put in right into Lemon Bay
Great place. Nice and cozy. The tiki was very clean. It had a great view of Lemon Bay. We stayed four nights, we wish we could of stay longer. Very relaxing. Short drive to Stump Pass Beach. The tiki deserves a second visit, guarantee.
Everything one could need for a stay was provided for. The cottage as cozy and charming with an "Old Florida" feeling we so enjoy. Location on Lemon Bay was relaxing and scenic.
We arrived at 1PM on a very hot day. The cottage was even hotter when we entered. We turned on the AC and after a few hours we were still stifling so we had to go to Walmart just to cool off. The cottage finally cooled down about 12 hours later. Perhaps the owner could turn on the AC in advance of guests arrival on hot days.
We arrived very late on a Friday evening. Initially the place smelled damp and moldy. After turning on the dehumidifier and AC as the directions indicated it got much better. We unpacked and went straight to bed. The next day was jam packed with Fishing charters and visits with friends. We got back and went to take showers. We noticed the water was not hot at all, tepid at best. The next morning, we were off again, Beach, Charter fishing etc. We arrived back after 9pm and again, tepid showers. We mentioned it to the person who lives at the resort full time. We were thinking maybe the temperature maybe needed to be raised a bit on the water heater. She went behind the unit, pulled off a cover and found that the water heater was leaking out the top. That would explain the low water pressure and the temp only being tepid. She indicated she would be calling the owner to let her know. We also followed up with Meegan as well to let her know there was a problem. Well, that was about the time Tropical Storm Colin was getting ready to hit. So understandably, no way anyone was coming to fix it that day. She did let us know the repair person was called and was scheduled to come out the following day as long as it was possible after the storm. They did come out on Tuesday afternoon and fix the water heater. It was the best anyone could do, but 4 days with no hot water was a bit of an inconvenience. We understand things happen, but when you are paying for a vacation it is disappointing. That being said, the place was comfortable in terms of size for 2 people. The resort was cute. It had the supplies needed to cook and enjoy the Florida experience.
We visited for a weekend in May from Indiana. You never know what you're going to get with such a cheap rate, but all reviews were good so we went for it! Glad we did!
Such a cute little place for a couple to stay. The bathroom is REALLY tight quarters! My only wish is that it was set up a little differently to move around easier.
Great and quiet location as well!
If we get the chance to visit again we'll definitely stay here.
Our 10 day stay at Tiki on the Bay was great and so restful. We enjoyed waking up and walking to the dock. Most enjoyable was watching the dolphins and all the different birds.
Our unit was clean, had all the necessities and comfortable especially the bed. Just enough for a vacation stay. WiFi and cable and washer/dryer a plus.
The table and chairs and the new deck was a great place to sit and just relax.
Thank you Meegan for allowing us to rent and we hope at some point in time we can do it again.
(just a quick note for you on the roof drain over the door. It rained heavy one day and the water poured out of the drain onto the new deck.. You might want to extend it around the corner onto the flowers so your new deck doesn't become damaged)
Thank you again

Great for fishing, great for relaxing whatching the sunsets on the beach. Lovely place to stay, the owner provided all the information we needed for our stay. Thank you Meegan for sharing your place with us. Great people on the site also very friendly. I didn't want to leave. We will be back hopefully next year. Great restaurants nearby, beach on the Gulf only five minutes drive. Watch the sun come up in the morning and the beautiful sunsets at night with a drink on the Tiki deck. Fish all day long and night as i did of the dock or there are lots of piers to fish off close by or take a charter to catch some monster fish.
