Vineyard FarmStay w/ Heated Pool. Favorite wine: Bar None's Canyon Old Vine Zin

Bedrooms 4
Property type farmhouse
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Vineyard FarmStay: 4 BdRms, 4 Baths, 8-9 guests (TOT#3145N)

Pastoral get-away on a large, working vineyard in the hills above Glen Ellen / Kenwood, overlooking the wine country. Our home is a designated non-smoking, environmentally-sensitive, property in a gated vineyard.

Please check our calendar for availability.

Four bedrooms; sleeps eight. Two master bedrooms w/ en suite baths on main floor; two queen bedrooms upstairs with a shared bath. Additional full bath off the kitchen. Perfect for several couples or a family.

Experience the vineyard, enjoy local winery tours, hike historical trails by Jack London's home, relax by the pool... A vineyard reminiscent to the wine regions of France or Italy. On a clear day, you can almost see the Pacific ocean. Catering available.

Glen Ellen is located in the heart of the “Valley of the Moon,” in Sonoma Valley along the famous Hwy 12 Winery Route. Great restaurants can be found in Glen Ellen, and in the historic Sonoma Square, 25 minutes southeast. Our favorite winery: Benziger in Glen Ellen.

Enjoy mountain & road cycling nearby, including single-track mtn. biking in Annadel State Park.

Other local parks: Historic Jack London State Park; Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. Both ideal for hiking, picnicking.

Spa facilities are available at the Kenwood Inn or at Sonoma Mission Inn near downtown Sonoma.

Massage therapists are available for in-home appointments.

In our home, we use only biodegradable cleaning products. We also compost and recycle as much as possible. (There is no regular garbage pick-up service.)

Out of respect for others in the vineyard countryside, please, no amplified exterior music, loud parties or events... Many thanks.

Napa Valley is a 40-minute drive east, over the Mayacamas range. Santa Rosa is 25 minutes northwest on Hwy 12.

Keywords: Large house, heated pool, set in a large vineyard, overlooking Kenwood and Valley of the Moon, mid-way between downtown Sonoma and Santa Rosa.

Nice but not Easy.

  • 3 of 5

Party of 8 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. The area is beautiful. We we lucky to have stayed at the house during harvest. As we sat to eat breakfast we got to watch the crew pick the vineyard! Kimberly let us know in advance they would be there. The reason I give it 3 stars is because there was a lot of old food in the refrigerator when we got there. We had to clean it to make room for our food. It was easy to leave it cleaner than we found it. There are a few things that could use updating also and it was quite a distance from the main road.

Owner's Response: Thanks for reviewing. We typically remove all food from the fridge in advance of each visit, except for coffee, milk and condiments for our guests' enjoyment. My apologies if there was any other food. Note: this is a non-smoking property, which is stated clearly in our Rental Agreement, which our guests sign upfront... This guest left smoking debris in our kitchen, and was upset when a portion of her deposit was withheld, as specified in the Agreement. We hope they will find a rental home in the future where smoking is permitted. Sincerely, Kimberly

A peaceful elegant place to stay in the middle of vineyard

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this location for 3 days. We were party of 9 including 2 young children. The occasion was 75th birthday of my wife. The experience could not be any better. The house is very well equipped covering all the needs of guests. The children spent half of the time in large well heated pool. We had barbecue dinner near the pool the first day and a formal dinner made by personal chef. Cocktails in the garden. It was like a second wedding for us. I highly recommend this property for your next elegant get together or just a family and friends get away.

Amazing family weekend

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely amazing views and great privacy. Owner was very nice and responsive. The house was great for us having a large party and kids. Lots of room for the kids to play inside and outside. Was also really helpful to have written instructions and directions around the house. Helped us to quickly locate and navigate. Would recommend this property to everyone and hope to be back soon for a longer stay.

Perfect for Celebratory Sonoma Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

I rented this house with a group of friends to celebrate my wife's 30th birthday. The house is nicely maintained and the surroundings are absolutely stunning. Its about two miles off of route 12 and requires a rather windy drive but the privacy and views make it well worth the effort.

The owner was extremely responsive to all of our requests and has been a pleasure to work with. I would strongly recommend this property to friends, family and the VRBO community!
