Family Reunion Holiday
This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location. It was every thing our group of 7 dreamed of and we would dearly love to return at a future date. An unexpected surprise was the children's TV room...perfect for our 10 and 12 year old grandchildren. The house is extremely comfortable since it is well furnished and stylishly decorated . We were extremely fortunate with the weather, but could have easily spent several days indoors simply reading books, playing board games, assembling jigsaw puzzles (all provided for in the house) or watching TV.
Lovely cottage and area - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again.
Incredible stay in the countryside!
After several days in London we made it to Fox End for a week of relaxation and site seeing in the Cotswolds. The house was fantastic and location perfect. Although we studied the entire area we still found pockets of hidden treasure for the entire family, both sets of grandparents and our young children. The owner was very gracious, very accessible, and very accommodating with all the extra's the house has to offer such as bikes and yard games. I could write a book about all we took in and experienced but suffice to say, we would go back to Fox End in a minute and highly recommend this property.
Little Piece of Heaven
Really enjoyed our time at Fox End. At first we thought it might be a little remote, but quickly realized we were in the perfect location! The home is well cared for, stocked wonderfully with everything you need including extra little serving dishes. Really loved making our morning coffee with the Nespresso maker. Beds and pillows were all very comfortable. Enjoyed the neighboring lambs, goats and chickens! Don't miss a visit to Chastleton House - truly a rare find.
Amazing cottage in the Cotswolds
What an amazing, quaint, and quiet property this is. We visit the Cotswolds every year and will definitely come to stay here again. From the ease of the booking process to the manual of the home, this wonderful house has it all. More towels than you could ever need, coffee in the morning and such amazingly comfortable beds and pillows that we didn't want to leave. The location is ideal, near to any town you could want to visit, and the walks in the area were perfect. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, we will be back!
Our accommodation was straight our of a Merchant Ivory film. Everywhere we turned, charming and comfortable. Even the sheep seemed to be supplied by a Walt Disney casting agent. The house had everything that we needed.
Fox End Cottage is located in Chastleton, 4 miles from Moreton In Marsh, in the most beautiful part of the Northern Cotswolds, 75 miles NW of London. The house is perfectly situated for sightseeing some of rural England's greatest gems. Shakespeare's Stratford Upon Avon, the splendid seat of the Spencer Chuchill family at Blenheim Palace, the ancient city with the fairytale castle at Warwick, the pretty picture postcard Cotswold villages and towns like Chipping Camden, Stow On The Wold, Moreton In Marsh, Lower Slaughter and Bourton On The Water are all within close range. Visit the world famous gardens at Hidcote or walk round the corner from the cottage to our own hamlet's National Trust property, Chastleton House (1602). Have a day in the gorgeous university town of Oxford (only 35 min by car) and don't forget to stop in the film set village of Woodstock on the way there or back.
Only two miles up the road you will find the incredible Daylesford Organic Farm Shop and Spa.
