Pagosa Springs

We stayed in the condo late August of 2016 for a week. I would like to start by saying this rental is right in the middle of town. The location is excellent. We walked to the San Juan River Trail, to the hot springs, to get breakfast/coffee/dinner. If you are wanting to stay in town this location cannot be beat. The floor plan is open and has all the amenities you might need for a stay. However, you can tell the owners do not place a lot of effort in this property.

The pictures provided here show a cute front porch and flowers. In reality, the porch is horribly overgrown, with empty flower pots. We actually drove by the place 5 times before we found it, you cant even see it from the road. In fact, it is so over grown a skunk lives in the shrubbery. Imagine drinking a glass of wine on the porch with your puppy and your baby and being visited by a strange looking cat!! We saw the skunk 3 times on the front porch during our stay- so really we couldn't use the porch (not that there is furniture out there anyway). We felt this was a huge loss. On the inside, the lamps in the bedroom didn't work, the grill was dirty, and the furniture old.

What is not advertised is by "loft style" they mean there is a tenant on the 2nd floor. This property is an older home, so you can hear every foot step, dog running back and forth, toilet flushing. No big deal right? Well, the man doesn't sleep, and can be heard moving around at 2 and 4 am.

It is also very obvious they do not have the place professionally cleaned. Hairs in the shower, a dirty sock in the bedroom, a wet towel was left in the dryer to go sour (smelly smelly smelly). But, they make sure to leave you strict instructions on how they want the place left. :/

We travel with our dog often, and love to take him places to enjoy the out doors as much as we do. When we arrived we found strict instructions to keep the dog off the carpet, furniture, and keep him confined to one area. Well, I don't know how to confine a dog to one area in an open concept home, the only room with doors had carpet. I'm not sure why they are worried about the furniture. The couches and chairs I'm sure came out of their great grandmothers estate sale. There is actually instruction left that the sleeper sofa is not to be used. (why put furniture in a rental that is not intended to be used?)

Overall, we had a nice stay. But, in hindsight, I would have stayed else where. It was mediocre.

My husband & I enjoyed staying at this lovely rental! The kitchen was great, so well equipped with everything you might need . We enjoyed sitting out on the porch, & walking around the area. It is walking distance to the downtown area. The large picture windows were beautiful, with wonderful woodwork throughout the loft. The owner very helpful and friendly. Excellent choice!!

Eclectic little treasure

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay here at your cozy little eclectic getaway. So convenient and close to all the shops and restaurants. It was nice to be able to walk to everything. Also very quiet considering its right on Main st. I enjoyed talking with the Ronnie the owner, she was very helpful with recommendations on restaurants and things to do. Thanks again.

Best kept secret!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just returned from our week stay at this home. It was clean and spacious for the four of us. It was surprisingly quiet especially for being located on the main street. Great location...walking distance to a lot of things. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

perfect location / perfect price

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived we were totally shocked to find this location right on the main street. With the front door literally 10 steps from the road and within walking distance to some great restaurants and shops. I can imagine this location is great for the winter and the summer. For us it was a perfect place to stay for day tripping to Wolf Creek Ski Resort. The owner was very easy to deal with and made some great recommendations on eating places for us.

Comfortable and Modern

  • 5 of 5

I was charmed by the uncluttered, thoughtful and tasteful furnishings. This place has everything you need and nothing you don't, making for a very comfortable stay. There are no snarky signs hanging anywhere, wow! I loved the red stove for reading and warming up in front of during the winter. There were several games and magazines that were great entertainment for my young kids. Overall, just very well done!

I can't believe the location, this place is less than a block from our three favorite eating establishments in town. Works great when your other half has taken the vehicle to the ski hill!
