About Vacasa, OR - Mt Hood / Hood River Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Nice place close to mountain
Lots of space with two separate family room areas. Big eating area. Location to the mountain makes for a quick trip to the west side resorts.
Make sure you bring holy water, a cross and have an ordained minister bless the house because it was creepy.
We have never had any guests before mention anything like this and wish we had been provided with more details so we could better understand the situation. Guests are always welcome to call for assistance if they are uncomfortable in any of our homes.
Very nice cabin. Everyone was happy with it. Only gripe is the lighting is terrible. Janky, I think is the word.
Beautiful , cozy convenient and great price!
Loved our stay here while skiing. So cozy and spacious at the same time! Easy access to road but feels private.
3 nights in December...
Our family of 8 (7 adults and 1 child) stayed at this cabin for 3 nights during the week between Christmas and New Years. The gas stove in the living room kept the house cozy and warm. The house was comfortable though it seemed smaller than the photos would indicate. It is advertised as sleeping 8 but 2 would have to sleep on the hide a bed which is in the main living area. The long table that separated the kitchen from the main living area was great and allowed us to have meals together and play games although we were short one chair. The house is equipped with the basics for cooking but I would suggest if you are going to do any cooking that requires anything more than basics, bring things from home. The pots and pans, knives and utensils are all worn and should be updated. The house supplied more than ample shampoo, conditioner, soap and towels however the plates and flatware were limited to 8 and made hand washing and running the dishwasher after every meal necessary. There was a full size washer and dryer in the room leading out the back door which was really nice. The cabin has been partially updated but the kitchen is not in the best of shape. It could stand to be updated. The lighting in the entire house was dim and inadequate. The natural wood beam ceilings were beautiful and during the day the windows in the living room allowed you to enjoy the beautiful trees that surrounded the house. The hot tub and game room were both very nice. All in all we enjoyed our stay in this house.
A nice place with a good location but a few stumbling blocks on our stay
Great location, easy to find, and a perfect home-base for adventures on the mountain
Just the right amount of bathrooms and space for the amount of people it sleeps
Great areas for gathering and spending time together (big dining table, large living room areas, fun game room, large back yard)
This house sleeps 8 but we found only 7 full-sized towels, which is disappointing, especially for a place with a hot tub.
Stark lack of bedding, extra blankets, and pillows which made it a bit hard for the person on the pull-out couch to be comfortable.
Entertainment system showed Netflix was available but we couldn't get it to work due to the system asking for an update that would never run.
For a pet-friendly house, it would be nice for the yard to be fenced in.
We also had an experience of arriving at the house and having no lights. This is because most of the large lights in the house operate not by the wall switch but only by plugging them in - and they had been left unplugged. This made arrival a little tricky since we got in later in the afternoon and it was quite dark in the house by then.
The kitchen was also dirty upon arrival, with a cutting board full of crumbs, a used knife left on the counter, and a beer can left in the sink. One of the bathrooms had a towel left hanging on the shower door - we did not know if it was clean or not. This may be more of an issue with the cleaning staff rather than the property, but still worth noting.
Overall I would recommend this property to others, but I also think management should be aware of some of the practical amenities that were lacking.
We are sorry to see there were some housekeeping oversights with this stay and wish the guest had called us to address the stocking and cleaning issues.
