Rhododendron has easy proximity to five separate ski resorts. Skiers, snowboarders, and summer enthusiasts will all love the space, but so will fisherfolk - the river is only a quarter-mile away!
Cuddle up by the gas fireplace to enjoy cable and a DVD/VCR player. If you're wanting something fun, load up the iPod sound dock with some of your favorite music before heading to the basement for game-room fun like a foosball table and a boot/glove dryer. If you're still chilly, head outside to the private hot tub.
The gorgeous kitchen has stainless steel appliances and a wooden table with a dishwasher for quick clean-up and a grill outside. Look up an interesting recipe on the WiFi or head out to the deck for lovely views.
Three bedrooms, a sofabed, and two twin beds provide space for eight sleepy guests to enjoy the area. A small nightly fee means that even canine companions are welcome. The main-floor bedroom has a queen bed, while upstairs there's a king-size sleigh bed. The other bedroom makes room for the kids, and two-and-a-half bathrooms plus a private washer and dryer make it easy to keep everyone clean and tidy.
Spend quiet afternoons fishing for bass or watching for rare birds along the Oregon Cascades Trail. Try horseback riding, or go boating along the nearby rivers.
With so much outdoor fun to be had, you'll be glad you picked Basecamp 26. Book your dates now for the ultimate in relaxation.

Vacasa - Vacation Rentals Made Easy:
Professionally managed and cleaned homes
Local assistance 24/7 for emergencies
Secure INSTANT booking
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
we had a great weekend at the Base 26 house. Thanks!
Sometimes vacation houses don't work very well, but this one worked great for us. Enough room for everybody, quiet corners for individuals to relax, kitchen worked well, deck is great, grill is fantastic, etc.
Here are a few things that could be improved:
no garbage barrels. This appeared to be an oversight, and the local property manager fixed the issue.
the hottub lock box info should be listed under the "hot tub" part of the house info. We missed it (it was in the Miscellaneous section) and couldn't at first figure out how to unlock the hot tub. We called Vacasa who resolved this issue quickly.
The main room TV would not work with the cable box. No big deal, we didn't want to watch much TV anyway.
The dartboard's darts are all broken.
Bath fan in upstairs bathroom does not seem to work.
It would be nice to have a spray cleaner fluid bottle to help clean surfaces.
in the upstairs bathroom, the sink splashes too much and gets the toilet paper wet.
it would be nice to have hooks near the hot tub to hang towels and extra clothes.
it would be nice to have a metal spatula to use with the grill.
These are all minor things, none of this got in our way of having a great weekend. This is a great house.
Good use of space and very comfortable house. A little closer to main road than we would typically like. Lots of traffic and sirens throughout the stay. Our teens were comfortable and were able to do what they wanted to do. Nice house in the trees.
Really enjoyed the cabin. Nice spa. Games etc. felt like being home. Right off the main highway. Near slopes
My family and I stayed here while visiting Portland. The scenery is gorgeous with Mt. Hood looming over your drive in. The house was perfect for our group of ten people with plenty of space and bathrooms for all of us. We did have a little trouble with the sliding glass door, but someone was out to fix it the very next day. The hot tub was very nice and provided a great spot to watch the meteor shower. I would definitely recommend this property to anybody who wanted a cozy, comfortable home base while enjoying the amazing scenery of Mt. Hood National Park.
