Whether you want a spacious comfortable holiday home for the family, or an active break this is the perfect spot.

Casa Elizabeth is situated on the outskirts of Lobres, a traditional Spanish village. Yet it is 5 minutes to the motorway and 5--10 minutes by car to the beaches of Salobrena and Motril.

For the family the beach is always a popular spot. There are beaches both at Salobrena and Motril Playa, and both are about 10 minutes by car from the house.The area is popular for many reasons. It is an area of lush fruit orchards, beautiful walks, interesting towns nearby, great Tapas and food bars and restaurants and great prices. I have travelled through Spain and continuously find that this area of the South is the best value around.

If your passion is golf you have the choice of playing at Los Moriscos, adjacent to Motril beach, or going to Santa Maria, a new 18 hole course near Granada , (approx 30 minutes by car) or at the Granada golf course.

On the other hand if you are a ski fan then take the short trip (approx 1 hour) to the Sierra Nevada, Spain's highest and best ski area.

For shopping fans Motril has lots to offer with both the big names like Mango ad Zara, Burberry and many more and a wide range of Spanish shops.

The house is very well appointed and equipped. On the ground floor there is an entrance hall with toilet, living / dining room and separate kitchen. A small terrace is entered from the living area.

The first floor comprises a master bedroom with en suite complete bathroom. and a dressing room.

There is also a twin bedded room and another bathroom. A patio leads from the twin room.

On the 3rd floor there a a twin bedded room with en suite bathroom and a large terrace with outstanding mountain views.

The garage can be entered from the house and is private .

All facilities are available in this house.These include, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven and hob, .The house is very well equipped with and pans and everything is in excellent condition.

The marble staircase gives a feeling of space and the entire house id comfortable and well furnished.

The house has both heating and air conditioning.

A cot is available for infants and there is a child buggy.

The upstairs terrace is ideal from where to enjoy the evening sunshine and outlooks over the mountains.

Whilst the house is close to the motorway is in a tranquil setting and is peaceful and pleasant.

the village of Lobres is only 5 minutes walk and has a bar, bank, bakery, pharmacy and two small supermarkets. It also enjoys a lovely Spanish square where locals come in the evenings to chat.The bakery van comes round in the mornings around 10.30.a.m.

Lobres has a open air swimming pool which is open during the summer months. Free WI FI is available in the square.

There is a restaurant within walking distance from the house going in the direction of Molvizar. It offers good Spanish food and does a 'Menu Del Dia' which is excellent value.

The area is wonderful for the beaches at Motril Playa, and Salobrena, and for the mountains for walking. The Alpujarras are 30--40 minutes away by car and the wonderful city of Granada is only 40 minutes also.

No visit is complete without a visit to the Alhambra palace but booking is strongly advisable. When in Granada be sure to visit some of the many popular Tapas bars for which it is famous. many of them give free tapas with any drink ordered. .

Salobrena itself is a very old Moorish town so a visit to the old castle on the hill above the old town is a worthwhile visit. The views from there are stunning.There are bars and restaurants up in the old town too which are interesting and good.

I have a grown up family and now live alone. I enjoy my house in Spain during teh winter months and love the tranquil easy way of life there. The genuine "Real Spain " feel of the place appeals to me with its authenticity and its lovely people.

My family love it too and I have many friends who accompany me year after year to share such a lovely place.

I like that my house is "home from home " for me and it is all so easy and comfortable.

Why clare gibson chose Costa Tropical

This property suits me perfectly. It is very easy to look aftre and the fact that it is on three floors gives me the feeling of space. The terrace downstairs is perfect to sit and read or hav elunch on. the garage appeals too as I can always park my car and have plenty of extra space for my golf clubs and other personal possessions.

The fact that I can get into the garage from th hose or with a remote control all makes for an easy life. I love teh area of lObres too, particularly the huge range of fruit trees locally and the fact that I can easily get the things I need from the supermarket.

I fly to Malaga and I can leave the motorway 5 minutes drive from the house. Likewise I love gRanada and teh motorway to granada is only 5 minutes teh otherway. Yet I hear no noise and they are just far enough away. Geat Easy living.!!

What makes this house unique

Great Authentic area, Lovely people, Great Tapas bars , and restaurants. Towns nearby, with markets shopping food etc.

10 minutes to golf and beach.

Great value for money. This area has to be teh cheapest area of Spain. I have driven through Spain many times and always notice just what great value this area is.

Proximity to one of the loveliest and liveliest cities; Granada.

There is a window which allows for natural light, and is equipped with towels. There are 2 additional bathrooms and a toilet. Both bathrooms have separate shower units, washbasins, cupboards, and toilets. All are tiled, both floors and walls and are bright and well equipped. There is an additional toilet on teh ground floor which is bery useful for children or those who do not want to climb the stairs unnecessarily. This toilet has a hand basin and is brightly tiled with an over basin mirror.

  • The bedrooms are spacious. There is a bathroom available for every bedroom. The twin bedder rooms have beds which are large singles, so they are suitable for tall adults. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with bath, over bath shower, bidet, toilet and washbasin. This bedroom has a large walk in bedroom. Bathrooms are well equipped with large mirrors,etc. and are tastefully tiled with fully tiled walls. The bedrooms and bathrooms are tiled throughout for easy cleaning, but have floor mats for comfort and warmth.

Notes:
There is a garage attached to the house. This is accessible from either the house or by using a remote control to get into the garage which is under the house. The house has a ramp to it and can be accessed by wheelchair to the ground floor, though there is no access to sleeping facilities for a wheelchair. The house and terrace are secure and would be appropriate for small children. However there is a staircase and parents need to be advised of this . Parking is available on the street also and generally I park there. The house is one of a new terrace of white houses. There is an internal corridor from the street into the house,which adds to the feeling of quiet and is nicely lit up at night with internal flower beds which make the entrance both easy and attractive.

Great place, fantastic break!

I had a great stay here with my family over the summer. Clean, tidy and spacious with good air conditioning it was perfect for a relaxing break the gardens around the townhouse are gorgeous and everything was very accessible cafés restaurants the beach and the ancient city of Granada is not far from here either. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back!

Comfortable well-equipped property

I have stayed at this property on several occasions. It is a modern spacious house with three bedrooms including two en-suite, air-conditioning and has all the facilities available to make for an ideal family holiday. It is well-equipped to a high standard. It has a great location close to Salobrena and Motril and is only a one hour drive from the ancient historical city of Granada. The new motorway from Malaga passes within one mile from the house which makes for easy and quick access by car from the airport. The beach in Salobrena is only about three miles away. There are a variety of walks in the countryside as well as swimming and golfing facilities nearby. I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Great Holiday

I had a great week at your townhouse with my family. The property was finished well and had everything we needed. It is well located and my kids loved the beautiful neighbouring villages and towns not to mention the beach!

Chouette appartement, avec tout le confort nécessaire.

Je le recommande en famille ou avec des amis c'est agréable.

Seul problème prévoir une grande casserole quand vous êtes 6 car les casseroles sont petites.

Lobres is a small village in the province of Granada. The village has 2 supermarkets, bank, bar, bakery,pharmacy,a weekly market and a charming village square.There is an outdoor swimming pool which is open during July and August. The square has a free WiFi zone.The bread man comes round each morning, so you can pop out of the house and get your fresh baguettes for breakfast. The area around Lobres is one of fruit orchards. Here you will see fields full of lemons, figs, oranges, avocados guavas, cacci fruit and chiramoyas; a custard apple, very popular in this area of Spain. There are a couple of bars within walking distance where you can enjoy the 'menu Del Dia' for lunch at under € 10. Bar Cuimbre is on the entrance road to Lobres, and has a restaurant for evening meals..Lobres is only about 5 minutes by car to the motorway to Granada and is adjacent to the N 340, the motorway from Malaga. but is quiet and unaffected by motorway traffic. It is convenient to both the enchanting town of Salobrena and the traditional town of Motril. It is equally only 5-10 minutes by car to both the beach at Motril Playa and the local golf club Los Moriscos.

1.5 hours will find you at the Sierra Nevada, Spain's highest and best ski area.

Other Activities: horse riding,walking, skiing.

Golf: The nearest golf course is at Los Moriscos which is at Motril Playa, just 10 minutes by car. Green fees are payable in the office and there is a new driving range where you can hone your skills. the golf course is 18 holes and is an interesting and picturesque course where some of the holes run alongside the sea.

There are other golf courses at Santa Maria, about 40 minutes away on the road to Granada or Granada Golf course, so there is plenty of choice.

Ski: The Sierra Nevada ski area is Spain's largest ski area and boasts up to date equipment and ski lifts. They have a snow making machine, so no need to worry about a lack of snow here. There are many hotels and ski shops in the Sierra Nevada, and it is over an hour away by car. All ski equipment can be hired there on a daily basis and ski passes can be bought on a daily or season basis.
