About Wade and Melanie

We love to ski Red Lodge Mountain. Camping, hiking, fishing, boating, motorcycle rides and gardening are some of our favorite activities.

Wade and Melanie purchased this house in 1998

Why Wade and Melanie chose Red Lodge

Great western town close to Billings with lots to do all season long. Walk down town at night and take in a great dinner, movie or stop at a local pub and meet some of the locals; it's a lot of fun!

What makes this house unique

Usually there are deer in the back yard or ally when we show up to stay overnight , then we pray that we get lots of fresh powder to ski in the morning !

Guestbook comments from the owner

This place was so clean and comfortable. Worked out great for us. Its nice to be so close to downtown. Thanks

Dream Vacation

  • 5 of 5

I thought when my husband and I retired, we would retire to a little ski town. Our four week stay on Cloud 10 was an even better way to fulfill that dream! While my husband skied twelve days, I skied two and spent the remainder of the time sewing a quilt top. As usual, we enjoyed the shopping and restaurants, and this trip we even went to a couple of movies at the Roman. The house is so conveniently located that the car only left the garage to go to the ski area. We have been coming to Red Lodge since the 1970's, and this was by far our favorite trip. We felt like "locals"! Everything was as described, and we are hoping to repeat our stay next year.

Owner's Response: We are so happy you folks enjoyed your stay on Cloud 10. It is really easy to feel like locals while staying a whole month within a block of lively main street. Seeing both of you up at the ski resort enjoying that beautiful day I will always remember. We sure hope you make it back next year. Thanks again !

Perfect stay!

  • 5 of 5

Wade and Melanie's house was so perfect for our family to stay for the weekend. The house came equipped with everything we needed and Wade was so friendly and accommodating. The decorations and ambience at the house were adorable, and having to walk one or two blocks to our destination was awesome! Would recommend to anyone in the future!

Nice, cosey home with spatious bedrooms, living room and dining room.

  • 4 of 5

Home is very convenient to downtown Red Lodge and was a nice size for our needs. Outdoor space was relaxing and gas grill and use of the garage were a real plus. Only negatives were the older stove that had limited use and the many collectables throughout the house which we were afraid we might break. TV could use an upgrade, also.

Owner's Response: We are glad you were comfortable in our home. I do have a weakness for antiques so we try to provide plenty of pictures so you can see our decor. The vintage stove isn't as difficult as it looks but we do also offer a toaster oven and hot plate as an alternative option. As for the T.V. we have chosen to keep it for the DVD player. It isn't new but still works perfectly fine. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Red Lodge. Safe travels, Wade & Melanie

A lovely home, great location

  • 5 of 5

We spent 4 nights at Cloud 10 and were very pleased. The owners were very easy to work with, all communication occurred timely. The house is well kept, and stocked with all you need for an extended stay. Thanks to Wade and Melanie for providing the coffee, all paper products and the lovely bottle of wine, upon our arrival. The outside patio was very enjoyable, we spent most evenings in the back yard enjoying the surroundings. You can't beat the location, it was located right off main street, but it sits far enough back that noise was not a factor. If we return to Red Lodge, we would definitely rent this home again.

Owner's Response: We also love to sit out on the patio for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine or beer in the evening, its so private with the location and pergola. Super happy to have you folks, come back any time!

Great centrally located property.

  • 5 of 5

Loved the stay at Cloud #10 in Red Lodge, MT. We come up every ear for the Beartooth Bike Rally, and this was our first time at Wade and Melanie's home. It's centrally located and within walking distance of Main Street. Head on down for dinner at Carbon County Steakhouse, ice cream at scoops, or live music at the Snow Creek. Loved the house, thank you so much for allowing to spend time in your lovely home.
