The kitchen is fully equipped---including a new refrigerator with an ice maker to keep your mai tais just right to enjoy on the lanai after a day at the beach or sightseeing. A washer & dryer & beach towels make packing for your trip much easier. Your day at the beach will be more relaxing with our beach chairs & noodles.

We are both retired & live in Iowa. We bought our condo in 2005 after we visited the Big Island. We love this area & we hope you do too.

Our condo is a short walk from restaurants, shops & the beach. It is a concrete & steel building that is well-constructed.
The pool & BBQ area are an elevator ride & a few steps from our unit. Depending on the time of year, you can watch the sunset while sitting on the lanai. Our unit is on the North side of the building away from the noise of the parking lot. We have a large wrap around lanai that is quiet & private.
We felt right at home our entire stay. This condo is close to everything. Our daughter and son-in-law spent time with us. We all would go back and stay here again. We will recommend this condo to anyone. It is really nice having the parking. We found everyone there were very friendly.
We spent 10 days in this unit and loved it. It is a little dated especially in the kitchen. However everything you will need is there. You don't need to buy all those little extras as they are provided. There is a great book that the owners have left in the unit with recommendations for things to do. It was very helpful. At one point there were 5 of us in the condo and the third bathroom was perfect. No waiting to shower or taking turns getting ready. We hope to return again to this lovely location. You are close to everything here.
My wife and I stayed at this condo from Feb 10 to Feb 27, 2017. We had booked the unit with Bruce in early 2016. This was our third stay in Kona (last two times at the Royal Sea Cliff).
The unit was clean and had all the essentials in the kitchen. The unit had a number of updates (bathrooms etc) which was nice. The kitchen was dated and in need of a face lift, but functional and as I indicated, clean.
The best part of this unit is the huge Lanai. We ended up eating on the lanai as often as we could and spent a couple hours every morning relaxing there. There was always a nice breeze and being covered, it was easy to stay out of the sun when you wanted to be. Washer and dryer are a must and worked well in the unit.
The facility is generally pretty clean, quiet and the pool area is quiet and relaxing. BBQs if that's your thing.
We had a couple small glitches but nothing serious and Bruce was very accommodating.
A nice, very short walk to restaurants and Kona downtown. Parking for two cars.
The only complaint we had was that there was a significant renovation happening in the unit above us. The construction lasted about 10 days (ripping up old tiles and demo work) while we were there and it was pretty annoying. In all fairness, Bruce has no control over this it could happen in any condo at any time. Bruce accommodated us and was absolutely terrific about doing his best to make it right.
You can't go wrong in this condo. Even the new mattresses were pretty good for sleeping.

We were disappointed in the condo itself. The property had a nice swimming pool and grilling area. When we arrived our condo was not ready for us. It looked as if the cleaner had been called away and never returned to finish the job. After a phone call to the owner and several calls to the island contact the cleaning was addressed. After staying there, we feel that we could have done much better in accommodations elsewhere on Kona. Luckily we had a third bathroom of which my husband and I moved into because the bathroom connected to our bedroom, which was the 2nd bedroom, the shower/tub would not drain. Once we moved into the entry way bathroom we could take a shower without standing in water the whole time. We wondered why we were paying a cleaning fee, when the place in the first place was not clean, and it was asked of us to wash the sheets and towels before leaving the premises. We did receive a one nights refund for the inconvenience of our condo not being clean in the first place, thank you. We couldn't figure out why we had to pay a cleaning fee, what was the cleaning crew getting paid for? We will most likely look elsewhere to stay the next time we go to Kona.
It was located in a nice area, as we were able to walk to shopping and some restaurants as well.
We spent 8 nights here. It's a very easy and safe walk to "downtown" Kona. Numerous restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We had originally booked at the Courtyard Marriott and got a good rate there. While it's nice to be beachfront at the Marriott it was an easy 10 minute walk there and there are public bathrooms. The condo unit has three bathrooms and plenty of space with a washer and dryer. The pool and BBQ area are nice as well. Air conditioning units kept place cool with no problem. Had one minor which we contacted the owner about and they remedied immediately. Point of comment is not to point out the problem but that owners wet instantly responsive which was great. We would stay there again.
