Relaxing in Somerset!
Beautiful log home. Very spacious and well appointed. Attention to detail is amazing all the way down to the deer antler bathroom tissue holders! Kitchen and main dining area is spacious, yet, cozy. Kitchen has everything you would need. Recreation areas, from the fire pit to the hot tub to the rec room with ping pong and pool table. Fantastic! Also - the indoor Ben Franklin stove and up stairs fireplace insert made it very cozy. The home is located in a wonderful place that is convenient to gasoline, stores, restaurants, hiking ect.. The view from the back deck is majestic, to say the least. Also - the sound system and TVs' all work and are user friendly. I would definitely recommend this home!
Presidents Day weekend - 3 families
Great times - easy lay out so kids and parents can be under 1 roof but split and playing. Geothermal running through the floors was awesome to come out of the cold and walk around.
Roomy and great place with a good location
Place was very clean and spacious, a lot of amendaties without even leaving the house, close to hidden valley and seven springs! Owner was very helpful! Would highly recommend it to anyone and would definitely go back!
Beautiful log cabin getaway
Beautiful and larger than expected. Jack was able to get back quickly to any and all questions. Close distance to Hidden Valley and 7 Springs
Great Family fall retreat
Our family has stayed in the Laurel Highlands most falls for the last several years. This home was perfect. It provided lots of space and comfort. We have 3 married children with each having children. So with the 4 families at the home, we all could have separate parts of the home to occupy but yet be all together for entire family time as well. My married son said this was his favorite fall home that we have stayed in. Thank you Jack and Shari.
We trust we can stay again.
Excellent property with lots of amenities. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Well taken care of. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The hospitality shown to us was wonderful and we are looking to book again in the future.
The Laurel Highlands offers a vast array of activities from recreational pursuits to cultural interests. Adventurous recreational pursuits include downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, tubing, zip-lining, mountain biking and, of course, some of the best whitewater rafting in the eastern US at Ohiopyle State Park. Nature enthusiasts will love hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, swimming horseback riding, and bird watching. Fall foliage is especially spectacular. Cultural interests include: Fort Ligonier, Fort Necessity, historical Route 40, Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob antiquing, wineries and covered bridges. For the more discerning traveler, there are a host of golf courses, resort activities, fine dining and world class spas.
