We are a growing family of four who love to escape the City to our idyllic sanctuary in the Okanagan. As working professionals we value our 'down' time as much as our careers and put equal passion and care into our recreational property.
We've had some great memories here and plan to have many more. We are known in the community for our hospitality and take pride in having the Village's only LED palm tree.
Rich Harris purchased this house in 2008
After camping for several years over the July long weekend with friends and family at Okanagan Lake Campground we found the fun of sleeping on the ground waned as baby's came along and parents became grandparents. A more permanent, functional and comfortable solution was sought.
After searching in Peachland, Summerland, Penticton and OK Falls we knew we had found it all in Naramata. Easy (stoller) access to everything the Village has to offer, especially the beach. Our own Gateway to the reknown Naramata Bench Winneries and South Okanagan and the warm evening sun and beautiful sunsets only seen from the east side of the lake. This is 'home base' for our family vacations and getaways.
Serene dinners with friends and family on the back porch under the grape vines sampling the days 'best finds' in wine country.
Family days at the beach. Forgot something - no worries, it's only a 10 minute walk back to the house.
Just arrived from Vancouver. Tired from the long drive - don't worry, Real Things Pizza is open late and a sure bet to satisfy any gnawing hunger.
Fondue's in the carport during temprimental summer showers.
Wagon rides around the village with the kids or bike rides down the KVR with friends - wine bottle and picnic basket in tow.
We were so impressed with this place, very clean and had everything we needed to make our girls weekend away unforgettable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home away from home type feel. Everything was walking distance, coffee shops, pub, liquor store, not to mention all the wineries in the area. The beach was really close and there are SUP rentals just down the street. The owners were very easy to deal with and we will definitely be back next year :) total Gem!
fabulous house, had everything we needed. Naramata is beautiful and in the midst of some of best wineries in the world. Vanilla Pod restaurant just up the road is great for dining out.
The owners were friendly and easy to deal with. We'll be back....
6 girls on a weekend trip to celebrate a birthday and visits the wineries. Perfect place for it. We spent most of the time around the large dining table. Everything was very clean. Walked to the beach, market and pub. Owners were very helpful and personable. Would absolutely recommend this place.
Our family parked the car and barley drove for 7 days. We walked to the beach, we walked to the market and we walked to the restaurants. Everything is that convenient. Naramata is truly a gem. A beautiful escape from the typical day to day craziness! The only time we got in the car was for a quick grocery store reload and to restock our wine. We have been traveling to the Okanagan for years and feel the best wine available is just minutes away from this location. The house is 100% family friendly and has a super big yard. We will definitely be back!
This property exceeded all our expectations. We had a family gathering and this was our home away from home for six days of biking, hiking, water boarding, cooking, wine tasting and relaxing.
The property is spacious, well situated, convenient and beautiful. And we loved the wine fridge for collecting our purchases from the many wineries. We loved sitting on the back porch in the evening with all the fairy lights and talking about our day. .
The pictures on the site do not reflect the warmth and spaciousness of the cottage.
We are already planning a return vacation for next year.
Thanks to the owners for sharing this special place. We are so grateful.
We were a group of four women visiting Naramata for a girls' wine weekend. This was the perfect place to stay! The house is large, clean and comfortable. The back porch with the trailing vines is a perfect place to sit on a warm evening. The location is conveniently near the Wharf Park and the beach. Would definitely recommend!
