A quarter-mile beach walk to one of the premier surfing spots in Malibu, County Line Beach.

Perfect for couple or friend getaways, surfing trips, writer or artist

retreats.

PROPERTY FEATURES & AMENITIES:

Living room with wood-burning fireplace, 18-foot ceilings and a

wall of glass affording spectacular sunrise-to-sunset views of the Pacific. On a clear day you can see Catalina to the south, Point Mugu to the north, and a Channel Island or two.

Bring your binoculars for dolphin, pelicans, seals, whale, and shipping lane watching.

Second-floor loft bedroom with the same amazing views, a flat

screen HD TV and built-in clothes storage space.

First-floor den with flat screen HD TV and convertible sofa which

sleeps two people on a comfortable queen mattress.

Bathroom with glass-enclosed shower and gorgeous custom

tile work. An additional outdoor shower with hot water,

perfect for surfers.

Cook’s kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. Private deck with

table seating and barbeque. Access to the owner’s flourishing

herb garden.

Wi-fi, cell phone reception, laundry facilities, private parking in driveway.

A two-minute walk to a favorite local bar and restaurant

with great seafood, a seven minute drive to shopping and

dining at Trancas Beach.

By special request, pantry and refrigerator can be stocked prior to arrival. Weekly maid service also available.

NOTE: the pictures and Video were taken before we put the teak furniture on the deck. We have a teak table, 2 teak chairs, 1 teak lounger, 1 teak low chair, and a built in bench.

Beach: We are on a wet beach, which means that at high tide there is usually no beach in front of the house. The tides change about every 6 hours (high to low) and the times change about 30-60 minutes everyday. Even in high tide, you can usually find some sand a few houses up the beach or a short stroll to County Line Beach next door. Almost always during low tide , there is beach/sand in front of the house.

Location: Note that we are just past the Ventura County line.

NOW NEW LOWER FALL/WINTER/SPRING RATES.... These are really some of the best time of the year at the beach in Malibu...plus the rates are lower! (till May 15 )

We fell in love with the beach, at the end of Malibu. Close to Los Angeles, yet when you are relaxing on the deck gazing at the sea, you feel miles away from everything. A dream location with breath taking views. It starts from the moment you enter your Malibu getaway, from early morning sunrise, to spectacular sunsets and magical moon beams across the ocean floor at night.

What makes this house unique

We love to cook and always have wonderful meals on our deck. We enjoy having our good friends and family visit and we celebrate each lovely day of beach activities & memorable evenings together.

Notes:
This is a unique beach house because it is an 'A-Frame' with 18 foot ceilings. It is all glass in the front on the ocean side. There are 2 houses on the beach here. The rental is the one behind the first one and sits up higher above the front one.You have a great ocean view from you balcony as well as from inside the house. You do see the roof line of the front house from your (the rental) house. You can see the layout of the houses from the 2 video links. It feels like a much bigger house than it is due to it's unique architecture. You have ocean views from the entire house. There is nothing like this on the beach in Malibu. The beach is essentially a private beach and when you are on it feels as though you are on a island. You usually can see one or two of the Channel Islands and sometimes Catalina Island.

A beautiful and quiet place in winter / early spring!

This house has real charm in a true, traditional A-Frame outdoor / in nature kind of sense..... But don't get the outdoor part wrong because the house has all modern amenities and cool design. It is perfect for two guests. VERY photogenic in and out. Nothing beats a crackling fire in the indoor fireplace while the waves break and ebb away visibly and of course audible through the windows.... You are living ON the beach and basically over the water. A ship, safe on shore....

As Morrie told us it can get cool in winter.... But he has installed great heaters that work quick and well!

Owner's Response: Even though you got a little bit of our rare chilly weather, you were able to enjoy the coziness of our unique A Frame by the beach. A wood burning fireplace has become more special these days, and it is the best way to warm up the house. Hope you return again soon.

My Malibu

The house is very well appointed, well furnished, has a great beach, is private and on the water (with one house in front but still have ocean views). Morrie was great, everything you need was provided. Only note is that the house is in the far north end of Malibu- so driving everywhere; miles. However, Malibu is rolling coast line- so we can say we saw it all! Best place on a sunny day is Paradise Cove in the adirondacks. Id come back in a heart beat. LCB

FABULOUS BEACH GETAWAY

A small but really well appointed beach rental. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

We stumbled on this gem by accident, a very lucky accident. The owner is very easy to deal with and accommodating. We had out 2 tiny terrier dogs with us and it was great to take long walks on the beach and watch amazing sunsets. The place is very comfortable, cozy and equipped with everything you will need.

Take a great bottle of wine and enjoy this gem.

Best. Birthday. Ever.

Those were the exact words from my husband following a long weekend I had planned at this lovely home for a special birthday escape. Having moved here a few years ago from Boulder, CO I had been in search of a convenient vaca home that could replace our weekend mountain retreat. This home accomplished that in spades. It had everything we had hoped for from convenient location to parking to privacy to amazing ocean views to fantastic amenities to spectacular aesthetics. The home was warm, inviting and - as odd as this may sound - completely usable! I had planned on cooking a lot and the kitchen had everything I needed; the technology worked perfectly from televisions to wifi (which never seems to be the case in rentals); there were no complaints about only one bathroom because it was beautifully redone and spacious; and the bed was ridiculously comfortable and afforded the most beautiful and calming views to wake up to each morning. There is a quaint gate leading out to the private beach and a lovely outdoor shower area where you can rinse off when coming back in. Oh, and my husband brought his motorcycle and said it was literally THE best launching point if you're looking for breathtaking rides. It was truly a beautiful, romantic, peaceful and magical escape from the real world. My only hesitation about writing so many wonderful things about it is having too many others discover it! :) And a special thank you to the owners, Morrie and Rachel, for your kindness. Meeting you was simply icing on the cake! We can't get back again soon enough, but we're going to try!
