We our out going and loving meeting all the people that stay at our lodge.
jodene kelly (Jody) purchased this house in 2010
We choose this location because it was a project! And we love projects! We completely remodeled the house. It also is great location with the golf course and ski across the street. The wooded lot is lovely! Columbia Falls is our home town! We feel its the best place in the world to raise a family and also vacation! The large yard has space for the kids to get out of the car and run around! The neighborhood is quiet. You can watch the golfers from the front deck and the deer in the back yard.
In the afternoon the deer walk out of the woods and graze on the grass in the back yard. You can watch them easily from the back bedrooms or the patio between the house and garage. It's a great place for a family reunion! Lots of living space to spread out and enjoy each others company. We have plenty of parking and could also accommodate an RV, (with out hook ups.) Across the street cross country skiing trails are located on the golf course. It also has a shuttle to Whitefish Mountain.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Tamarack Lodge. Since we wore ourselves out during the day, the house was a comfortable and welcome relief from hiking up and down the mountains in Glacier, biking in Whitefish, and boating to Wild Horse Island on Flathead Lake. Needless to say the jacuzzi tub was enjoyable and therapeutic for our sore muscles and the master bed was SO comfortable. Most of the activities that we planned for our trip were a very short distance from the house. We loved seeing the mama doe and her two fawns grazing in the large backyard. Jody and Tom are very attentive to detail in the house and offered us wonderful service. I would recommend this house to to friends or anyone visiting this beautiful area of the country.
Just want to say that this place had absolutely everything we needed for a 7 person stay. three of the people were our grandkids and they had TONS of room to play!
The kitchen is huge and well equipped, so is the living room! Bedrooms are perfect. We stayed in the master bedroom and it had tons of room and privacy!
One of the best things is how close it is to the West Glacier entrance! A golf course is across the street and stores are close. Will definitely book again!
The owners are wonderful to work with also- gave great directions and made it all so easy!
We were a group of 8 people who visited Glacier National Park over Labor day weekend. I was tasked to find an affordable, yet large enough place to accommodate all of us. Fortunately, I stumbled upon this listing and am so glad that I did. The house is huge with a very spacious living room. It was a perfect home away from home, and each one of us had a very memorable experience. Well within the vicinity of West Glacier, the location provides perfect blend of solitude and easy access. The owner was super helpful in providing all the directions to the house.
I highly recommend renting this property out, and am sure to revisit this place again.
I was given the task of finding an affordable, comfortable home for a gathering of five firefighters on a trip to the Glacier National Park area. It had to have enough beds and bedrooms plus a large living area so we could relax after a long day of hiking or enjoying the area. We couldn't have been more pleased with my choice. There is a lot to do in the area. We went on a zip line one day. Went whitewater rafting on another. Plus all there is to do at GNP. The home has everything you need for cooking a good meal and nice grocery store close by. Jody was easy to work with and a lot of help with her knowledge of the area. We would definitely recommend this property and if I come back with my family I will be looking to rent it again.
We completely enjoyed this spacious home. It stayed cool during the day even though it was above average temps when we where there. It had everything we needed & Jody was a joy to work with. We will stay there again if we are in the area.
We stayed here with 3 kids and 3 adults (my husband, mother and me). It was perfect! Jody made sure the house was prepared and we were overjoyed when we arrived at how spacious the home was! The basket of goodies was a great treat after several long days driving! The grocery store is about 1 mile away, perfect for a quick trip to pick up a few things! Columbia Falls is a lovely town. The home is only 15-20 minutes from Glacier, very easy to stop back if you want a break during the day. We loved the home and would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back out to Montana!! (Hopefully we will someday!!)
Our location is such a plus! Meadow Lake Golf and Ski Resort is just across the street. We are only 10 minutes from Whitefish Montana and a few more to the top of the mountain to ski! Cross country skiing is just across the street at the golf course. Glacier Park is a scenic 20 minute drive away. Columbia Fall may be small but it hosts a lot of fine restaurants, antique shops, and a nice water park. The lovely Flathead Valley is surrounded by mountains it is an area with several towns for shopping and sight seeing. Our rental is located only ten minutes from Kalispell which is the largest city in the valley. We have so many local artists, galleries, jewelry designers, antique dealers and a host of other interesting creative things to search out and find. The street, our house is located on Tamarack Lane is used for mountain biking! If you haven't visited this area you are really missing out of an adventure of a life time. Whitewater rafting, hiking in Glacier Park, fishing, or just a day relaxing on the porch where you can watch the golfers and maybe collect a few balls. If you would like to golf its just a walk across the street. All this and so much more! But when you return to the lodge you are located on a quiet acre lot with trees all around.
