About jodene kelly (Jody)
We have been married 44 years and we chose to raise our four kids in the great state of Montana. We now get to share this life adventure with our eight grand children with two new ones this year! Tom and our sons and grandsons enjoy hunting. I enjoy watching deer, birds, elk but most of all a moose if I'm lucky. We also love rafting and fishing. We our out going and loving meeting all the people that stay at our lodge.
jodene kelly (Jody) purchased this House in 2010
Why jodene kelly (Jody) chose Columbia Falls
We choose this location because it was a project! And we love projects! We completely remodeled the house. It also is great location with the golf course and ski across the street. The wooded lot is lovely! Columbia Falls is our home town! We feel its the best place in the world to raise a family and also vacation! The large yard has space for the kids to get out of the car and run around! The neighborhood is quiet. You can watch the golfers from the front deck and the deer in the back yard.
What makes this House unique
In the afternoon the deer walk out of the woods and graze on the grass in the back yard. You can watch them easily from the back bedrooms or the patio between the house and garage. It's a great place for a family reunion! Lots of living space to spread out and enjoy each others company. We have plenty of parking and could also accommodate an RV, (with out hook ups.) Across the street cross country skiing trails are located on the golf course. It also has a shuttle to Whitefish Mountain.

Great location. Short drive to Glacier Park. Beautiful home.
The home was spacious and clean. We were able to get to Glacier and Whitefish easily and quickly. The beds were comfy which is always a bonus. Nice large kitchen that was well stocked.
Great house with lots of living space
We stayed at this house on a trip to Glacier National Park. The kitchen and living room are very spacious and great for a family gathering. The back yard is also very big and has a fire pit and a swing set. We were there the first week of July and the house was hot at night. The master bedroom is good sized, but the other three are small and there are no dressers. The owner was easy to work with and replenished supplies when we needed them. It's a beautiful location across from the golf course and is only about 30 minutes from the park.
I really appreciate the feedback and I am certain the owners will be willing to help with the suggestions that you mentioned.
We really loved having you as guests and hope that we can have you back!
I know, myself, we open windows at night to let the cool Montana nights make the home comfortable. Nothing like fresh air! I didn't realize it but most people do not have their windows open when they come visit for safety reasons. You don't have to worry about that in our little bit of heaven!
I will also see if we can get dressers and fans for each room. I might add that we usually don't have such warm weather like we had until the end of August!
Thanks again for choosing Tamarack Meadow Lodge!
Made for the perfect vacation
We had an outstanding time staying here. The location was perfect for the West side entrance of the park and the house was extremely comfortable. We found the house to be well looked after and there were many extras that made our stay feel great. For example, they had bear spray available for us to carry during our hikes! That's a huge plus because we couldn't bring it on our flight and would have had to pay for it there AND you hope you don't have to use it so we would have to leave it behind. Owners and property manager were very responsive. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting in the area. It was the perfect place the relax after spending the days hiking.
Extra note: Back yard and outdoor space in general is beautiful too. We enjoyed evenings in the Adirondack chairs in the backyard around the fire pit.
It was a very spacious and well-kept property.
It was clean and well kept. The owners were very easy to work with and attentive to our needs. The large yard and swingset were a real hit with the grandchildren. Even though it was in the mid 90s the house stayed realatively cool and it cooled off nicely at night.
Lovely house in a perfect location!
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Tamarack Lodge. Since we wore ourselves out during the day, the house was a comfortable and welcome relief from hiking up and down the mountains in Glacier, biking in Whitefish, and boating to Wild Horse Island on Flathead Lake. Needless to say the jacuzzi tub was enjoyable and therapeutic for our sore muscles and the master bed was SO comfortable. Most of the activities that we planned for our trip were a very short distance from the house. We loved seeing the mama doe and her two fawns grazing in the large backyard. Jody and Tom are very attentive to detail in the house and offered us wonderful service. I would recommend this house to to friends or anyone visiting this beautiful area of the country.
Perfect location for Glacier!
Just want to say that this place had absolutely everything we needed for a 7 person stay. three of the people were our grandkids and they had TONS of room to play!
The kitchen is huge and well equipped, so is the living room! Bedrooms are perfect. We stayed in the master bedroom and it had tons of room and privacy!
One of the best things is how close it is to the West Glacier entrance! A golf course is across the street and stores are close. Will definitely book again!
The owners are wonderful to work with also- gave great directions and made it all so easy!
