We just got back from our stay at 295 Mango St. and are already missing the pool. The property was in great shape and the garage with the ping pong table as well as the pool area were definitely enjoyed by our two
teenagers. The gas grill was a great feature as well and was definitely used during our stay.
We were in need of a rolling cooler and it was nice to find that the rental company had that available for us to rent and even would've delivered if it hadn't been Sunday. When we arrived we were starving and it was pouring out so the first place delivering that we found was Ray's Pizza. That quickly became our go to delivery place during the week.
We rented bikes for the teens during our stay and they enjoyed that, there is a rental place at the end of the street, along with another one a short walk down Estero. After reading all of the positive reviews we decided to try the Heavenly Biscuit at the end of the street. We got there when there wasn't a line and were able to get one of the tables inside. The food was excellent. It was also great having Royal Scoop at the end of the street, I know I dropped $100 in there over the course of the week but Death by Peanut Butter is amazing. We also enjoyed being in walking distance to the Bay Oaks recreation center where the boys were able to go during open gym and play basketball for a small fee. The 7-11 and grocery stores are also close by.
You won't be disappointed with a stay at 295 Mango Street:)
We had a great time at 295 Mango St. The property was in excellent condition and was well cleaned by the management company. I believe the house had been redone within the past 2 yrs or so and it showed; appliances were new and flat screen TV's in the living room and 3 of the 4 bedrooms. There was a gas grill we used one night and there was a new gas cylinder waiting for us so we didn't fear of running out. The pool in the backyard was in perfect shape for us when we weren't heading to the beach, which was maybe an 8-10 minute walk. Plenty of beach chairs, too.
Owners did a nice job with plenty of glassware and dishes, coffeemakers, cookware, etc. This was not a bare bones rental.
We look forward to another trip to this property in the future.
Tom and Sue (owners of Mango Street home) were excellent about answering questions prior to our arrival so we knew exactly what to expect and bring with us. We were totally comfortable staying in their home for our family vacation. We had 8 adults so we filled every bedroom.
The walk to the beach was easy to do. There were beach chairs, coolers and a cart to haul stuff to and fro in the garage to use which eliminated any additional rental costs to visit the beach.
We didn't get to check out the little restaurant at the end of the street because they were being sprayed for termites... LOL.
The covered pool area was perfect to get away from the beach and just float on a raft. Mango trees line the back of the pool area so some part of the pool is shaded nearly all day.
A few of us rented bikes to trek up and down the beach. Everything you could want is within easy walking distance on the island but we chose to rent a minivan to get us around. We toured the area and checked out Jungle Erv's adventures... well worth the drive off the island!
Thanks Tom and Sue for a great vacation!
We absolutely loved this home. It was beautiful and spacious. We all loved the outside area too with the pool! Close to the beach for walking and nice walk to the Pier. Great for a family! We were very comfortable and would go back there in a second.
This house was perfect for our SpringBreak 2014. Pack your sunscreen and swimsuits because you'll need nothing else. It was close enough to Times Square that we did not worry about our teens and the house was kid friendly so our grandchildren could visit. I would definately rent this house again.
We stayed there with my 3 adult sons and their girlfriends, we walked into the house
and was presently surprised, it was beautiful, it looked much nicer than the pictures.
Nice short walk to the beach and even walking distance to times square for my sons
night life fun. Didn't use the pool much, it was a little cool, otherwise everything else was
