Newly built country home 10 Minutes from traditional fishing village and beaches

The house is set in 5 Hectares of Very Private Rural Pine Forrests,carob and olive trees, Fenced and Gated. There is a BBQ and Nice Private Outdoor Dining Area. It is located 10mins from the Traditional Catalan fishing village of Ametlla de Mar, located approx' 140km South of Barcelona, 40 min's East of the historical town of Tortosa, and 40 min's South of Tarragona and Salou, Costa Dorada's main tourist hotspot. The area boasts Port Aventura, Universal Studio's European theme park, and 2 Aqua Parks! And of course there are many long white sandy beaches and secret craggy coves. PLEASE NOTE!!! This is NOT a VILLA on a HOUSING ESTATE, urbanization, or holiday complex, (with people, cars, scooters etc') & it is not overlooked like MANY other carbon copy villas, this is a Traditional Friendly Catalan Farmhouse in Peaceful Countryside with NO noisy neighbours!

Golf: Bonmont golf course was founded in 1990 and was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. This Championship Golf Course is a magnificent 18 hole, par 72 course stretching over 6900 yards of magnificent Greenland. Surrounded by spectacular Mediterranean views and mountain backdrop, this is one of the finest Golf courses in Catalonia. There are 3 spectacular holes on this course, two par 3'5 and a par 5 that would be challenging for even those more professional players. The Course makes full use of the natural landscape and is enhanced by 90 bunkers and some testing water hazards.

Fishing: The River Ebro is the longest river in Spain - a natural delta that stretches for miles, with an abundance of wild life and a huge variety of fish including Carp, Catfish fishing, Barbell, Zander, Roach, Rudd and Mullet. The majority of the species held within the Ebro River exceed many of the British recorded weights. The river Ebro is largely untouched (less than 1% has been fished!) and houses many monster fish weighing more than their captors, a majority of which have never been caught, creating a magnificent fight for the angler. We have just returned from a weeks stay at this wonderful accommodation. House was excellent everything you need there to save on holiday baggage and beautifully furnished , peaceful and tranquil - yet close enough to local amenities by car to enjoy the surrounding area and have family fun -our teenge daughters and niece enjoyed the garden and patio whilst our younger son enjoyed the pool and swing - thanks for a brilliant week and a great base for our hols - would definately return and recommend -from colette,terry,chloe,sacha,bronte,chelsea and zach x

Beautiful Holiday

We arrived and were met locally by Mark & Ron the owners. So polite and pleasant made us feel very very welcome. Showed around the house on arrival which is beautifully maintained inside and outside. The house is set in beautiful grounds with olive trees and various other trees and flowers. In a morning you wake up to birds singing so peaceful and quiet. The facilities inside the house are sufficient for your holiday and modern equipment easy to use. The bedrooms are spacious and very clean and the bedding was clean. Towels were available and presentable. The outside was a suntrap with a beautiful pool and plenty of seating area with loungers and tables made of marble tops and seating to enjoy the outside facility of a barbecue or just eating out. It is no trouble for Mark and Ron if you needed to ask anything, they are more than welcome to help. The area is safe due to the locked gates from the road into the premises. Obviously you need a mode of transport as it is off the main road up a county track. There are plenty of delightful places to sightsee in Salou and Cambrils and also the town itself. To dine out it is so reasonable for a family. We were made very welcome even by the restaurants also when dining out. A truly good holiday and very good value for the price. This we would recommend to everyone who wants a peaceful and relaxing break no matter how long for.

Can't beat this

House has everything you could need, Pool & barbeque area to die for.

very peaceful, yet town ~3km with plenty restaurants.

within driving distance of some great tourist sites.

hosts very helpful when needed, yet rarely seen - exact balance you would want when renting a house.

fantastic

we loved this house . it was clean, looked after and had everything we needed. the pool was gorgeous, well maintained and clean and the sitting and eating areas outside spacious and well laid out for shade and sun. the owners were kind and helpful but not looking over your shoulder- just close enough for help if wanted.

the location is great - rural and quiet but close enough to the town for shopping and access to the train station. there is loads to do for all ages in this area and really suited our family of various ages.

...and relax.

The outside pictures don't capture the seclusion, tranquillity and privacy of the villa.

The boundary is fenced and gated, making the site safe & secure, but the fences and gate aren't visible from the villa so it retains a feeling of openness and space.

There is a large, new, supermarket with parking nearby which had everything we needed (and much more) for the week.

Mark and Ronnie are excellent hosts. Friendly, helpful and always there if you need them but completely out of sight otherwise.

We wanted a week of relaxation and that's exactly what we got. The pool is excellent and the villa has everything you need.

Highly recommended!!

Truly Beautiful

This is our third summer vacation spent here and we can't imagine spending it anywhere else. The area is peaceful, quiet and serene and wonderful for taking long walks. The house immaculate and bright and the grounds truly beautiful. The swimming pool is perfect addition and we couldn't ask for anything more. We can't say enough about the owners, Ron and Mark, and how helpful they are if you need any information or help. Looking forward to coming back next year!

The property is situated approximately 140km south of Barcelona, The European city of culture, a truly amazing city to visit, and 40 mins south of the holiday resort of Salou, with its theme parks, aqua parks, bungee jumps and go kart tracks, or take a parasailing ride from the beach. Also nearby is the historic city's of Tarragona and Tortosa with their ancient roman buildings and amphitheatre A few km south is the Ebro Delta natural park with its rice fields and even pink flamingos! Or follow the famous fish filled River Ebro as it meanders inland thru stunning mountain ranges and rich vineyards and orange groves.
