Perfect home for a family visit in the Seattle area

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this home for a few days after returning from an Alaskan cruise in August 2016. The location was perfect as it wasn't too far outside of the Seattle area. The home has a large upstairs with five bedrooms that we all used. The main level had plenty of space to spread out and let the little kids play as well as another bedroom and bathroom that we used. We used the large kitchen every night for cooking dinner. The grocery stores were within a mile or two. The property was very clean and well-maintained. We did have a question and needed to call the owner Laurie and she answered right away to assist us. I will say there isn't central air in this property which was an inconvenience the first day but once we opened the windows and placed the fans in the windows we felt the cool night air and all was well. We also enjoyed playing cards on the table out on the patio at night time as well as stargazing with our little ones.

I would recommend exploring Snoqualmie Falls and also Mt Rainier National Park. Wear your swimsuit, bring a towel, and carry water to drink. The hikes are fun and there are places to get wet. Some of my family members cliff jumped at Mt Rainier National Park. The water is ice cold though! We also visited Pike's Market but after about a half hour we realized it was way too crowded so we headed for Snoqualmie Falls.

Great home and location

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 9 loved the ample space of this home. Everything needed was available for our use just like if we were home. Grocery stores and restaurants are within 10 minutes. Everyone should visit The Rock Wood Fired Kitchen. The location was perfect. It was 30 minutes from SEA-TAC and far enough outside of Seattle to not have to do deal with the ridiculous traffic.

Excellent home!!

  • 5 of 5

Very nice home in Covington! Nice bedrooms in quiet neighborhood. Extremely clean. Well stocked kitchen, with ample silverware and dishes for a large party. Close to grocery shopping and restaurants. Kids appreciated the free wifi, the cable TV and the room to spread out. Laurie was very easy to work with. Very responsive with emails. Easy to check in and extremely fast refund on damage deposit. About 30 minutes to the sites of Seattle. Would definitely recommend for future stays for our family and friends.

July Stay

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed out stay in Covington. It was about thirty minutes from anything we wanted to do. The bedrooms are all spacious and the nine of us had plenty of room. It seems a little remote at first, you must have a car, but like I said earlier, anything you google to do is only about thirty minutes away. The house is well stocked with towels and kitchen equipment. Washington was having extremely hot weather while we were there and it was nice to see that each bedroom had a fan. We would stay there again with our large group.
