Treasure Beach Villa Rental Photos and Description

Villa, 4 Bedrooms, 5 Baths (Sleeps 8)

New beachfront villa in beautiful Great Bay. Located directly on the wide and pristine beach. There are 4 air-conditioned rooms, with en-suite bathrooms (2 with amazing outside showers) with views of the sea and the rolling green hills behind.

Go to sleep to the sound of the sea, wake to bird song, sip your morning coffee on a verandah high above the wide, sandy beach.

Watch the fishermen of Great Bay prepare to go to sea, or meet them as they return with their catch, make a selection to be prepared for your dinner that same evening. Chat and feel the old Jamaican vibe, experience the quiet pride in this very special part of St Elizabeth.

Swim in the calm blue pool and sip a cool drink made for you at the driftwood bar while you relax under the shade of the large, thatched gazebo. Catch up with friends, keep an eye on the children, read, snooze, recover.

Take a short drive to restaurants and bars; Jake’s, Jack Spratt and others. Go to Black River, YS falls, or take a canoe to Pelican Bar or Little Ochi.

Go for a guided walk along the beach and cliffs, discover the unique environment surrounding you. Feast on lobster as you watch the golden sunset, watch the moon make the sea twinkle silver and even get up to watch the pink, glowing dawn….but only if you want to!

Our capable staff will help you make the most of your stay. Beverly will tease your taste buds with delicious meals from the spacious kitchen; Donna Rae will be your housekeeper; and Randy will be your bartender and upkeep the pool and garden.

About Kate

We are a Jamaican family who are based in Jamaica and in Canada.

Kate purchased this villa in 2011

Why Kate chose Jamaica South Coast

We have enjoyed this beach for many years, having wonderful family times here. We built the villa with family holidays in mind, and wish to introduce others to this beautiful and unique part of the world.

What makes this villa unique

It's a wonderful peaceful fishing village, with the best beach and best swimming on the South Coast. A great place to go with friends and family alike, to spend quality time, play games, swim, relax and just be together.

Guestbook comments from the owner

“This was the most beautiful place we have stayed. Everything was perfect.... really beyond our expectations. The house is beautiful, comfortable, open and airy. The pool and covered areas were immaculate and cozy - great areas to spend time in. The bathrooms and showers were perfect with great water pressure, loads of hot water for the 8 of us. Towels and bedding were all excellent and very comfortable. Even better were the staff who made the trip a dream. Beverly, Donna, Phillip, Carleton, and Randy really went out of their way to make our trip exceptional. The food was SPECTACULAR.... every meal was prepared so well, and the traditional Jamaican dishes were top notch. All 8 of us thought that the goat was Greatest Of All Time! We had our wedding here, and they were all so much fun, accommodating, and made us feel loved and welcome every moment. We stayed here for a week of bliss and will absolutely go back. A few suggestions for treasure beach: 1. The Lobster Pot just down the beach is world class amazing food... Birch, Ed and Annabelle make traditional Lobster dishes which are worth a trip to Treasure Beach. 2. Local music scene - Go out for some traditional reggae sound system parties if you get the chance... Romeo who has the Outlaw and Air Force 2 sound systems and the Starlight crews bring some great dancing and local toasters to Treasure Beach. Not to be missed. 3. We went to the Pelican Bar and really enjoyed our time their - the kids played bones (dominos) with the staff there, and we had some drinks, fished and snorkelled for a bit, and saw pods of dolphins going each direction. In summary, this place is paradise.... it is excellent value and the staff are really awesome. Yeah Mon - that's my review...”

Best vacation ever

  • 5 of 5

Out of the Blue Villa, Great Bay near Treasure Beach, Jamaica.

After renting numerous villas at various exotic destinations, this was our favorite. It featured a mountain (bluff) protected bay with gentle surf; private & clean fine-sand beach; outstanding views of turquoise & dark blue water; diving Pelicans, manatees & other interesting wildlife; 3 air conditioned king master suites plus a dual queen suite; extensive verandas / lanais, refreshing pool, and an outstanding 5 person staff that serves great food & drinks and does all the work for you. We ordered many unfamiliar local cuisine items from the menu and were never disappointed. We planned to do some sightseeing tours, but ended up never leaving the villa, except to stroll down the beach to a local restaurant or go exploring

We dined on the lovely veranda 3 times a day and spent the rest of the time in the pool or on the beach. The staff catered to our every need and automatically adjusted meals to our schedule. On the last night Randy built a bonfire on the beach. The weather in July was 70-90degF, but a steady breeze and the pool kept us cool. Great Bay gets less rain than most other parts of the island, but the landscaping at the villa was very lush and tropical, providing excellent privacy. Great Bay is a remote, sleepy fishing village that is very safe. The local people we met were all very nice and they seem to work hard for the privilege of living in this remote paradise. This was the most relaxing, effort free vacation we have ever been on. Highly recommend OOTB villa.

Perfectly Stunning!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I travel with a group of our college friends once a year. This year, we happened to stumble across this gem. Almost a year later, we are still talking about this trip. It was truly unforgettable. The individuals who run the house are amazing. Enough cannot be said about Miss Bev, Miss Donna, Randy, and everyone else at Out of the Blue. The food was AMAZING! We were there for 6 days and only ate out twice. The house was impeccably clean and cool and the wifi was always dependable. We took a volleyball net, can jam, and corn hole with us. No need to leave the house when you have all of that, a pool, and a beach! We went on several hikes during our time there as well as multiple kayaking adventures. Everyone who asks me about booking a vacation, I immediately suggest Out of the Blue.

Beautiful, lovely, gorgeous vacation home.

  • 5 of 5

The ride in from the airport was very interesting if not a bit unnerving. But once we got there and were greeted by Randy, it was a different world. Miss Bev and Miss Donna were so gracious and welcoming. Randy was great too. The house is "House Beautiful" worthy. Miss Bev's cooking is delicious...stick to all Jamaican cuisine..yum. We came down for my daughters wedding which was held right there in the back yard. Just beautiful with all the flowers and the stone fence. Miss Bev and Donna made the cake...so nice. Carlton and Phillip were on hand to take care of us too. I feel we made some friends on this trip and are planning on a return stay very soon...Jeanne Doyle Richmond IL

As Advertised!

  • 5 of 5

Having never been to Jamaica, we were a little hesitant booking a place as remote as the Treasure Beach area. We were thinking being closer to the tourist area was probably safer. Our kids are 20,18,16,14 and like the pool, beach and a mixture of relaxation and adventure. We'll start with the positives, the owner Kate is fabulous, responsive and helpful. The staff, Randy, Bev and Donna fantastic, as was the security guard Kashmire. Don't freak out, you don't need security here but it's nice to have as this area is quiet and secluded. We were a bit apprehensive with the whole "staff" thing, thinking we can cook, clean, make drinks on our own. However, I'm really glad they were there as they made the vacation that much more relaxing from shopping, prep, cooking, local knowledge and clean up and their overall attitudes. Couldn't have been better and I doubt there's a better staff on the island. Also, the staff is as visible as you want. They stay out of the way if you prefer, or engage at your level of comfort. I encourage you to engage with them often as they're fantastic. Especially Randy who doubles as a "mixologist." The pictures you see on the site define "Out of the Blue" perfectly. What you see online is what you'll see in-person. 100%. If we ever make it back to Jamaica we will only stay at Out of the Blue. The only negative, and it's minor, is the drive from Montego Bay (crowded and dirty and really happy we didn't stay up North) to Out of the Blue is a hard one. The roads are horrible and it takes almost 3 hours. But once you're there, you don't want to leave. If you like Caribbean / Jerk seasoned food. Seafood. Lobster. Drinks. Sun & Sand. A great staff. Great owner. Cleanliness. Friendly. Relaxing. Things to do. Don't hesitate, just book this place.

Our little slice of heaven!

  • 5 of 5

Waking to the sounds of the crashing waves on the turquoise sea, smelling the Blue Mountain coffee brewing and the bacon frying in the kitchen, seeing the smiling faces of Randy, Bev and Donna each day, soaking in the cool water of the pool as we sipped refreshing drinks, enjoying every fabulous meal prepared for us under the open air palapa, watching the beautiful sunsets on the ocean, spending lazy days and moonlit nights around the fire on the beach with our family...these are what dreams are made of and they all came true at Out of the Blue!
