Overview

Berkshires Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-7)

Unique log home on 8 beautiful acres of secluded wooded land with stream and pond. Borders state park. In the Berkshires, at the Massachusetts/New York line the property makes a peaceful oasis.

House has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, loft sleeping/living room area. Completely appointed modern kitchen, and washer/dryer. Beautiful stone floors throughout house. Heated with zoned electric heat and wood burning stove. Garage available.

Decorated in a shabby chic style, the house has the warm feeling of a funky hunting lodge.

Bird watching of a semi-resident Blue Heron may be undertaken from the comfort of selected antiques with which the house is furnished.

Days at this house can be spent in solitude, reading a book or just enjoying nature. With no neighbors and surrounded by trees, this secluded property is perfect for spending time alone or with a loved one.

If you enjoy being active, there are endless activities to do within a 40 minute drive. The New York-Berkshire area has so many trails to hike or cross country ski, mountains to ski, routes to bicycle, lakes to swim in or boat on. In the winter, there is great downhill skiing and snowboarding for beginners and children at Bousquet, Butternut or Catamount Ski areas, which are all within a half hour of the house. Jiminy Peak offers challenges for more advanced skiers and is only 20 minutes from the house. You can also cross-country ski on numerous local trails, sled at local parks, and visit museums.

This lovely home is yet only minutes away from the world renowned cultural hub of the Berkshires. It is a 15 minute drive to Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. For theatre: there is a choice of Shakespeare & Company, the Berkshire Theatre Festival and Barrington Stage, all nearby. Try an evening of dance at Jacob's Pillow, where the best dance companies in the world perform. Museums also abound. The Clark and Williams College Art Museum in Williamstown or Edith Wharton's 'Mount' and the galleries and boutiques in Stockbridge, Lenox and Great Barrington are all nearby. And a day trip to Mass Moca is always exciting!
