Beautiful villa and lovely part of France

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautifully appointed villa for a relaxing and hassle-free stay. The views over the vineyards are fantastic, and the village is perfectly peaceful. Narbonne not too far - plenty of good restaurants along the canal. Bages was a particular favourite of ours. Everything is very well looked-after and new, as you'd want it if you lived there.

Spacious, well equipped and with a homely fee

  • 5 of 5

We have just spent a wonderful fortnight at this villa which was a perfect base from which to explore the region (I am into walking and photography and wanted to explore the fabulous gorges and castles) and also a spacious, luxurious and yet homely place to spend time just relaxing (my wife prefers to spend time at the villa just chilling and relaxing by the pool rather than rushing around like me!) The villa was impeccably clean and maintained and the local staff were extremely helpful during our stay. It was apparent to us that the owners had spent time at the property to ensure that guests' needs were known and fully catered for, so we wanted for nothing throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

Stunning Luxury Villa

  • 5 of 5

The villa was spacious, well appointed with very helpful local agent. The villa is very secluded and whilst it's easy to relax and enjoy the villa and the weather you will need a car for shopping and sightseeing. The villa is within striking distance of beautiful Carcasonne.

Beautiful villa - excellent holiday!!

  • 5 of 5

As a group of 8 adults, we've just returned from an excellent family holiday at this lovely villa. None of us wanted to leave!

Les Vignes is exactly as it looks in the photographs. Very clean and well maintained. It is a real home-from-home being very well equipped and benefits from good quality fixtures, fittings and furnishings.

The villa has both wi-fi and freesat English TV channels. There is also a good selection of DVD's/books/games if you choose not to venture out for the day/evening.

Both the lounge and kitchen are large and there was ample space for us all.

The property has the most beautiful terrace, with a large dining area. It's where we spent most of our evenings - watching the sun set over the surrounding vineyards. It's such a beautiful, peaceful retreat!

There is an enclosed, very large garden with a gated, secure pool area.

The pool is a good size and the cover means the water stays warm. There is an external shower and plenty of loungers. It is secluded and not overlooked.

The owners provided excellent service during booking and whilst we were on holiday. I even asked if there was the possibility of borrowing a guitar for my son who is a musician - the owner kindly took his own to the villa for him to borrow! This was gratefully received and much appreciated.

We were met on arrival by a very welcoming lady who provided us with lots of information about the surrounding area and places to visit - she came again after one week to change the bedding etc.

A welcome basket was provided which included the 'obligatory wine' - a very nice and addition!

There are plenty of lovely places to visit in the surrounding area. Highlights were Carcassonne, La Grasse, Narbonne, and numerous castles.

The more adventurous in our party went canoeing and to O2 Aventure - a high-ropes grueling activity centre. By all accounts it was a tough but enjoyable day!

I was happy just to relax by the pool and look out over the surrounding vineyards which stretch for miles.

The house is in a hamlet but there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance - so you do need a car to get out and about.

There is a good selection of supermarkets within a 10 minute drive.

If you are looking for a quiet, rural location surrounded by vineyards, in a very comfortable villa with a lovely pool then you will find it in Les Vignes.

We all had the best time and as a family we couldn't recommend it highly enough and would one day like to return.

Excellent holiday

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed an excellent family holiday in this lovely villa. The villa is just as it looks in the photographs. It is very clean and well looked after. It is large and very well equipped with very good quality bedding and crockery. There is wi-fi and British freesat channels on the TV. The pool is a good size and the cover means it does not get cold. There are plenty of loungers and it is secluded and not overlooked. The garden is large and enclosed and would be ideal for children to play.

The owners provided excellent service during booking and

whilst we were on holiday. They were very welcoming and informative when we arrived, provided a welcome basket of essentials - including wine!- did a minor repair the next day after notification, sheets were changed after one week,

There are plenty of lovely places to visit in the surrounding area. Highlights were Carcassonne, La Grasse, Narbonne, and castles if you want to be busy. The boys hired road bikes from Mello Velo and enjoyed long cycle rides in the local hills. I was happy to sit by the pool and look out at the surrounding vineyards which stretch for miles.

The house is in a hamlet but there are no shops or restaurants so you do need to drive if you want to eat out.

If you are looking for a quiet, rural location surrounded by vineyards, in a very comfortable house with a lovely pool then you will find it in Les Vignes. Highly recommended!

Wonderful two week stay in Beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a two week stay at Les Vignes. Two families, both with two adults and two children (aged 8-13). The property was perfect for us having two larger rooms for the adults and two smaller rooms which were perfect for the children, all with en-suite.

The villa was very clean and the fixtures and fittings were all good quality. The kitchen was very well equipped. Lots of room for everyone.

The outside areas were also lovely, plenty of loungers and comfortable outside seating areas and lots of space. The garden also a good size and big enough for us to play ball games with the children. Pool was also clean and a good size.

The views were amazing, vineyards everywhere you look from the back of the property, which is where we spent all of our time. And the sunset behind the hills was an added bonus!

The area itself is very quiet, lots of vineyards to go wine tasting very local (walkable), we didn't find any local/walk to restaurants, would need to drive to go out to dinner. Some very good supermarkets, 10-30 mins drive depending on where you preferred to shop.

Narbonne town itself is lovely, lots of sights to see and great markets to visit, the beach is vast, probably a good 30-35 min drive though.

The information provided at the villa and contact from the property managers/owners was also really professional.
