Craig Lindholm purchased this Cabin in 1998
Why Craig Lindholm chose Crosslake
We purchased our cabin in 1998 from a long time family friend so we could be close to our parents and friends in the area. Crosslake was the only location we even considered, because of the 14 connected lakes and friendly community.
What makes this Cabin unique
"Crosslake" is the main lake of the "Whitefish Chain of Lakes" in the village of Crosslake. There are a total of 14 lakes with in the Whitefish Chain of Lakes. with Crosslake being the most desirable. The Village of Crosslake is known for it;s quaint community, great lake experiences, good restaurants, fun shops and "MN Nice" up north people. You'll find our location is one of the best on Crosslake and the entire White Fish Chain. We have a large 120' x 70' sandy swimming area with a 120' long sandy beach with a gentle increase in water depth and easy access to any of the other lakes you want to visit. It's about a 3 hour drive north from Minneapolis and only 30 minutes north east of Brainerd/Baxter.

A beautiful week on Cross Lake.
We spent the week of August 5th on lovely Cross Lake. The cabin was very clean and well equipped with everything a family would need for a fun stay. The sunsets were awesome as we sat by the fire pit on the beach. There was plenty of available split wood for the fires. We were fortunate to meet the owners, Valerie and Craig, who are both super friendly people. There is a second refrigerator in the basement which was very useful with six people in the cabin. Without a doubt this is a place we want to come back to. You will not be disappointed.
This rental property was great. Easy location to get to and close to everything on the lake! The owners are some of the nicest people you'll meet. Would recommend this to anyone!
Everything you could want in accommodations. Clean, comfortable and welcoming!
The location of this property, along with the accomadations are fantastic! Our boys who are 8 and 5 could not get enough of the fishing off the dock, swimming and smores! For those with a boat, having the remote power boat lift was awesome! I highly recommend a nearby pontoon rental for a day. It was a great way to enjoy the chain of lakes in comfort. Bring your bikes! The bike trail through Crosslake is a block away with many restaurants, ice cream shops and mini golf along the way. None of us wanted to leave! We were lucky enough to meet the owners Craig and Val towards the end of our trip. Wonderful people! 5 stars all the way!
Cozy. Great view.
The kitchen was adaquit. The bedrooms on main floor were a bit small. Basement bedroom was good. It would have been nice to have a microwave down stairs, fan and perhaps a love seat and an actual door on the bedroom area instead of a curtain as some people are early risers while others prefer to sleep in a bit. The shower heads were not very good. I suggest in the upstairs shower you get a shower with a hand held to it. As that shower was quite small. The living room and dining area was nice. The deck and fire pit were great. We also used the grill and noticed a screen was missing so mosquitoes were a problem while cooking. It was also very nice to have a washer and dryer as well as dishwasher. We enjoyed our stay very much. The town has everything you could need.
A Great Week On Crosslake
This was our 3rd summer at Peaceful Pines. That in itself says a lot. Cabin is 100% suited to our needs and sits on a wonderful lake, with a nice sand beach, a perfect dock system & boat lift; what more would you need? Sitting on a nice camp chair at the end of the dock looking towards the west, having a hot cup of coffee along with a good book at 8:00 am can't be beat, especially with the sun rising behind you. Looking forward to 2018. Thanks again to the Lindholm family!
What a vacation!!!!
I am not sure you will find a more beautiful spot on Cross Lake to have a vacation. This place is within walking/biking distance to the grocery store, playground, beach, ice cream shop, and gas station. There is no need to drive the boat around to find a sandbar to play on because there is an awesome sandy bottom right next to the dock. The powered boat lift is another plus.
This was our second time staying here and we will be back again. The owners are awesome people who genuinely care that their renters have a great experience. You will not be disappointed in this property.
One of the best "front row viewing" locations of the 4th July boat parade and spectacular fireworks! This is a great spot to boat to the 14 inter-connected lakes on the Whitefish Chain of lakes. You can enjoy endless days of boating and fishing with your friends and family!
