About Anna Simson
My husband and I fell in love with our beautiful Grade II listed home in the Cotswolds. We moved in 2005 and run two holiday lets here where we have had a host of happy (and often returning) visitors from all over the world. We live on site but you have as much privacy as you like however we are on hand should you need anything.
Anna Simson purchased this Cottage in 2005
Why Anna Simson chose Chalford
We already knew the village of Chalford - the Alpine Village as it is often known - and loved the strong community feel, the beautiful valley and walks plus being so accessible from across the country.
What makes this Cottage unique
Where to start? There are so many things to do from staying nearby and enjoying the walks, the river, the fresh air and beautiful Cotswold villages to travelling a little further and seeing the regency town of Bath or the spires of Oxford or the race courses, the polo, the wildlife park, playing golf, fishing ..... Even a day-trip to London is possible with a 90 minute train journey into Paddington.
Check-in: 3:30 PM
Check-out: 10:00 AM
The property is self-catering with a well equipped kitchen so bring what you need to make your feasts. We do provide a starter selection of those awkward "basic" things like washing up liquid, loo roll, tea, coffee, sugar etc...

Lovely Cosy Cottage
A quiet cottage close to some lovely walks and many things to visit for our young girls to do. Owner was friendly and helpful. Visited Cotswold Zoo and the mechanical music museum.
Such a pleasant stay we had, what a wonderful place! Definitely will be back! 🤗😀😀😀
Beautiful and charming cottage
We had a delightful stay at Green Court. The cottage is extremely charming and very comfortable. Everything we needed was there including some groceries that Anna picked up for us. Anna and Chris could not have been more helpful. They were available for whatever questions we had. They gave us excellent information for making the most out of the area. The location was a perfect place to base ourselves as we explored the Cotswold's.
Chalford is in some of the most beautiful countryside in the whole range of the Cotswolds (and even the country). Nestled in the Golden Valley, one of Stroud's Five Valleys, Chalford is described as the Alpine Village with its steep hills and houses perched along small donkey tracks. A walkers' paradise with beautiful scenery around every corner.
The narrow High Street winds its way through the village past an amazing array of characterful cottages. Chalford was once a centre for the wool industry, with many Listed mills dotted along the old Thames and Severn Canal. Many houses you still can't drive to.
In the village is a small shop run by volunteers selling a selection of lovely organic goodies and a short walk away are some great pubs for beer, wine, good food and stunning sunsets.
Other Activities: Cotswold Water Park; gliding
