Bill and Gina moved to the beautiful mountains of north Georgia back in 1999 from Central Florida. They are currenly retired and enjoy spending time between the mountains and New Smyrna Beach, Florida. They have a grand child in each place and a very busy social life with many great friends. They love to travel and just went for the 3rd time to Italy. We hope you enjoy the villa as much as we do!
Gina Frisbey purchased this villa in 2009
Just an hour and half from downtown Atlanta and you are in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia. Located on the Etowah river Montaluce Winery is perfect for fly fishing, kakaking and there are many waterfalls and hiking trails in the northeast Georgia mountains. Bicyclist love our area as do bikers for the miles of beautiful scenery. We enjoy good food and wine with friends in a unique setting.
This villa is absolutely gorgeous! It was close to downtown Dahlonega and other local wineries. The view from the back patio is breathtaking!
We just spent a long weekend at La Vigne with good friends and each of us were smitten with this home. The views over the vineyards from both large patios are absolutely gorgeous and peaceful, and the home itself has a wonderful, warm mediterranean design. We made lots of great meals together in the large well-stocked kitchen, and the bedrooms were exceptionally comfortable and well-appointed. Definitely plan a meal at Montaluce's winery/restaurant. We watched the fog roll in over the vineyard valley as the sun was setting. Stunning views and food. We are telling all of our Atlanta friends about La Vigne and can't wait to go back!
This property is truly breathtaking! The villa was extremely clean & beautiful. The views of the vineyard below made for a peaceful start of the day with a cup of coffee & a relaxing end of the day with a glass of wine. Dahlonega has so much to offer! We enjoyed tubing down the Chestatee River, shopping on the adorable square downtown, and hiking the nearby trails & Yahoola Park. The restaurant at Monteluce was delicious with a great atmosphere. We also enjoyed to 4th of July parade, activities, & fireworks!! A great vacation that we will do again!
My wife and I stayed at this wonderful and well appointed property for our Daughters wedding at Montaluce. They were engaged in Italy, and this was just like being back in Tuscany for the wedding. Accommodations, kitchen and outdoor fireplace were all incredible, not to mention an amazing view. The wedding was magnificent and this place just added to the ambiance. Owner was very accommodating and we are looking forward to a return visit.
This a beautiful, well appointed property. It is situated on a hill overlooking a vineyard. There are a couple other villas nearby, but this is clearly the most attractive externally, and it is completely removed and private from the others.
The kitchen is wonderful, with a Wolf stove, Subzero refrigerator, and nice cabinetry.
There are two master suites, both with comfortable king beds, one with a soaking tub in its bath. There is a third bedroom with twin beds.
The four of us did Montaluce's wine hike on a Saturday morning, followed by the wine tasting. Although a little pricey at $45 pp, we would all recommend it. We ate dinner at the Monteluce restaurant. I would call that experience disorganized, but the food was excellent. On another night we dined at Corkscrew in Dahlonega, which was terrific- make sure to try the smoked salmon dip!
I did have a conversation and some email correspondence with the owner, and she was very pleasant to deal with.
My five sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed staying I. This beautiful villa overlooking the Montaluce vineyard. We had everything we needed in the house, but we were close enough to also visit several other nearby attractions.
