Located on the lower level of our home in an upscale development, we offer our guests absolute privacy with the assurance that we are closeby should any need or question arise.

There's nothing better than a good night's sleep in the mountains, and you're sure to sleep like a baby on your comfortable king bed with 100% Egyptian cotton bedding, laundered without dyes or perfumes. The bedroom, which can be darkened even in the daytime, has it's own TV, a recliner, and the convenience of a large en suite bathroom with tub/shower, plush luxury bath towels, and hair dryer.

Whether you plan to cook gourmet meals or just make morning coffee during your visit, you'll appreciate the fully equipped kitchen, featuring all brand-new appliances, including dishwasher, microwave, icemaker, and coffee maker. The kitchen's bar area seats 3 and opens into the spacious living room, where the plush sofa offers a great place for a nap or for watching your favorite TV show.

Your private entrance features a 10 x 10 deck with majestic mountainside views and fresh air amidst a rhododendron grove. It's a great place for breakfast before a hike or shopping excursion, and it's the perfect spot for a drink in the afternoon before heading out to dinner at a nearby restaurant, to a concert or the theatre.

A private washer/dryer and iron in the apartment make laundry convenient for those planning longer visits. You'll also appreciate the central AC/Heat, ceramic tile floors, ceiling fans, Wifi (please note that our DSL service -- although the fastest available -- accommodates only limited UP-load speed), and 2 flatscreen satellite TVs offering all major pay/premium stations.

Jeff is an elementary school teacher and Tim is a professional musician and small business owner. We've been happy together for 15 and enjoy hiking, theatre, travel, food, and spending time with friends and family.

We have always loved the Asheville area because of its natural beauty, its emphasis on the arts, and its concern with the environment. We were fortunate enough to make a permanent move to the area in 2005. We love our home and its location here, and we are happy to be able to share a part of it with those who are looking to enjoy a vacation in the Asheville area.

The best part of our property is the combination of privacy and an 'away from it all' feeling in a beautiful mountain setting while at the same time having access to all the conveniences we need within a 5-10 minute drive.

Awesome property!

This property is clean, well appointed with all the necesities plus some very thoughtful touches. Tim leaves a basket full of snacks, waters, juices, even a bottle of wine!

Upon arrival there is a laminated sheet with house rules, instructions, and contact info. Tim is available for anything you need and responds immediately to any question or request.

The location of the property is great! Provides great privacy yet it is close to shopping, downtown, the Biltmore, anything you wish to see or do.

This was my second visit to this property and will certainly not be the last as it has everything you could possibly ask for all wrapped in one!

Dark winding mountain road

The apartment was clean and comfortable . Had a small problem with tv but Jeff responded immediately and reset the service .

If you plan to bring a dog be aware that due to location there isn’t much yard area to walk a pet especially at night, unless you are willing to walk down a steep driveway and along a very very dark mountain road . Returning to the apartment , after sunset , can be harrowing for those that are not use to a pitch black winding one way mountain road. Once you make your way down the mountain, to the main road , the commercial area of south Asheville is very close by and convenient. In summary, if you like secluded Mountain View’s this is the place for you.

Owner's Response: Those of us who live in the Asheville area are amused by tourists who come to the mountains and are surprised by hillsides yards, dark nights without street lights (where you can see the stars!), and long, winding, narrow roads. These are typical of the innumerable mountainside residences like ours. For guests who prefer flatter land, well lit areas, and wide roads (but less privacy and little natural surroundings), we recommend limiting your search to accommodations that are in town. Over the years, we have had many, many guests traveling with dogs who have had no problems with walking their pets around our home. Owners with pets who have peculiar toiletry habits may want to take that into consideration before booking. And while our property is located on a beautiful and lush mountainside, it is far from remote. Almost every necessary convenience is located within 10 minutes of our driveway and downtown is only 15 minutes away.

Cozy and just as pictured

This is a cozy little apartment with everything you need. Tim was available for any questions we had. It is in a mountainous subdivision but very close to shopping and restaurants. We were not disappointed and would recommend it for a couple.

Perfect home away from home!

This mountainside getaway apartment was just right for my husband and I. We loved the privacy of the property and being close to grocery stores and restaurants. The apartment was comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated. We really appreciated the complimentary wine and snacks. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

Lovely accommodations

Conveniently located, well laid out, very nicely appointed apartment. The hosts are so thoughtful in how the home is prepared for you, with many nice extra touches. Water pressure is excellent, bed is comfortable, kitchen is well equipped for meal prep. I would stay here again.
