About Brad Woodward

Founded by our father in 1993 and still family owned, we cherrish every minute we are able to visit Rock Creek and is always an unforgettable event.

Brad Woodward purchased this cabin in 1993

Why Brad Woodward chose Clinton

Located in one of the most beautiful parts of Western Montana. Missoula and the airport is about 1 hour from the home. Visit the University of Montana, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and more. Glacier National Park is 3 hours away, while Yellowstone is 5 hours. Summer thunderstorms are amazing. They come and go rapidly. Weather can vary from 70's to upper 90's but evenings cool down nicely. Always an evening for a fire and viewing a night sky with stars that will amaze you.

What makes this cabin unique

The home also has onsite an 18' travel trailer with linens that sleeps 3 comfortably. Electricity provide, no water or bathroom. Will need to use the main house.

Very comfortable stay with great fishing just up the path

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rock Creek cabin!

First... comfort! This was very homey with lots of fishing, camping and outdoorsy touches throughout the cabin. From the pots/pans to the towels/washer-dryer we had all we needed to make this a really comfortable stay.

Second...communication! I really appreciated it when Brad called me a week or two prior with all the latest fire/evacuation info and reassurances for a safe visit or act of God reimbursement if we didn't feel comfortable keeping the reservation.

Third... fishing! (of course!) We had a blast fishing Rock Creek (first time on this water). Not only was Rock Cr. better fishing than other local waters (like the Blackfoot R.), the access point right behind this cabin was easily the best of the multiple access points up/down the creek.

Overall... we were fortunate that the fires closest to this property had been contained and we could keep our reservation intact. There is no question that we will stay at this property again if we're able to get back out West in the future.

Amazing Experience!

  • 5 of 5

The property was exactly how Brad described it, and it accommodated eight of us without issue (including two children). The place was clean, organized, and had plenty of provisions that we had forgotten to acquire before our trip. There were games, movies, and books to read when it was too warm to fish. The property is a short walk to one of the best trout streams in Montana. Within a couple hours of us arriving, we had landed brown trout, cutthroats, cutbows, and whitefish. The only people was saw on this stretch of the river were the occasional couple out walking their dogs. There was plenty of wildlife and nature hikes to keep our children entertained as well (the swinging bridge is a few miles up the road and provided plenty to do for a day).

The most impressive thing about this property has been Brad's effective communications. We were concerned about the wildfires, and Brad kept us updated regularly.

Ultimately, it was a spectacular stay, and we will be back! 10/10

Place to fish

  • 5 of 5

cabin location was great for fishing and was nice and clean. I had my doubts about the oil heaters but they worked great even with temperatures in the high 20s to low 30s. Nothing fancy but had everything you needed for a quite stay. Would definitely stay again.

Quiet retreat

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed the quiet, semi-secluded location and the homey cabin feel. Great to be able to walk to Rock Creek to fish. Only one suggestion for improvement - a light above the stove area would be very helpful for cooking.

AMAZING place!!

  • 5 of 5

A buddy and I stayed at the Woody's place July 2017. He and I are from Texas and decided to take a trip to Montana to do a little fly fishing. We were lucky enough to stumble upon the Woody's place, and it ended up being perfect for our trip. The house has everything you need (including a washer/dryer). The house does not have a/c, but it was 95+ degress everyday and it was still comfortable inside the house. The combination of window fans and sunscreens on the porch really help shield the heat. The river is just a quick walk down the property line with trails, in most places, to hike up or down stream. Overall, I highly recommend staying at the Woody's if you are looking for a place to stay on Rock Creek!
