Rock Creek is a Blue Ribbon Trout Stream, located just 45 minutes from Missoula, Montana and Missoula International Airport. A favorite stream for wade fishermen and women. Small enough to navigate by foot and large enough to provide a healthy habitat for Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Cutthroat, Trout, Brook Trout and Bull Trout. Rock Creek drains from The Pintlar Wilderness in SW Montana, making for a crystal clear mountain stream. Bighorn Sheep are often viewed just off the Rock Creek Road and on occasion pass through the subject property. Eagles, Osprey, Moose, Fox, Otters, Black Bears, Deer and Elk also inhabit the drainage. Rock Ck. is surrounded by Forest Service for an array of hiking and biking opportunities.

public access for a peaceful fishing experience. Clean, well kept property, just off the pavement on Lower Rock Creek. Reasonably priced.
Founded by our father in 1995 and still family owned, we cherrish every minute we are able to visit Rock Creek and is always an unforgettable event.
Brad Woodward purchased this cabin in 1995
Located in one of the most beautiful parts of Western Montana. Miissoula and the airport is about 1 hour from the home. Visit the University of Montana, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and more. Glacier National Park is 3 hours away, while Yellowstone is 5 hours. Summer thunderstorms are amazing. They come and go rapidly. Weather can vary from 70's to upper 90's but evenings cool down nicely. Always an evening for a fire and viewing a night sky with stars that will amaze you.
The home also has onsite a 18' travel trailer with linens that sleeps 3 comfortably. Electricity provide, no water or bathroom. Will need to use the main house.
Access to Rock Creek was great. Plenty of room for three adult fishermen. Cooked several meals...all was well. The space heaters had me a little concerned, but heated the unit adequately.
Our 5 days here was amazing, saw tons of wildlife including, Moose, Whitetail and Mule deer, a Bald Eagle and Bighorn Sheep (while we cooked on the grill). The fishing was outstanding and access to the creek was easy and secluded from others using the public access points. Overall it was a great experience and we hope to be back someday soon.
That's how our family reunion was at the Woodward's Rock Creek rental property. Perfect accommodations right on our own private creek! Everything we could have asked for and more. We will definitely plan more family trips here in the future. Thank you Woodward's!
Good experience, very comfortable. We were able to fish all day on the creek!
Our stay there was great, everything we needed (except food of course) was provided. The showers were hot, the scenery was beautiful. There were plenty of dishes and utensils for cooking. Nice decks front and back to watch the moon come up. Light pollution is minimal and so the stars were very close at night. Rock Creek Road has a 30 mile per hour speed limit, (enforced) so be prepared to go slower and take in the scenery. We saw big horn sheep, white tail and mule deer, a bald eagle, osprey, and a golden eagle. Caught my first cutthroat trout. There is no phone reception unless you travel back to rt. 90 (about 8 miles) nor is there any TV reception, but you can watch movies on the DVD. Two refrigerators provide plenty of storage for food and drink. In a word, the place was comfortable--decked out in a fishing motif with rods and creels hanging on the walls. Myself and my two sons had a wonderful stay here.
This place was a great find for the price. We enjoyed being able to walk right down to Rock Creek. The kitchen was exceptionally equipped and everything was very clean. There was no cell signal or internet (as stated in the description), so it was kind of nice to be unplugged. I think this was the first time I had done that in 7 years and I made it 2 straight days without checking my email at all. Just be prepared to make the 20 minute drive to the highway if you need internet access through your phone. We arrived during record heat so it was a bit hot in the cabin for 2-3 hours every afternoon, but this was nothing a swim in the creek couldn't remedy. Overall we would go back here in a heartbeat if we make it to the Missoula area again.
