My staff and I are very outgoing, friendly, and motivated individuals. We love meeting new people and want to help guide your way so you can have a wonderful & memorable vacation. I am the proud owner of a small business located in Mount Union, PA. I decided to rent out the vacation home so that you can enjoy the surroundings that I enjoy. Traveling is one of my pleasures, and I love flying airplanes. I have my own airport, so if you are into aviation and have your own airplane, you are more than welcome to fly in! I love the country, love the atmosphere, and I would like you and your family to be a part of it. I lived here all my life, and I love this area. There are a lot of places around here to occupy your time and enjoy quality time with your family and friends. This home is in a very special place. The surroundings are beautiful, with gorgeous mountain views. This is a river front property beside the Juniata River which is very popular in this area for kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, tubing, etc. I love the area of this home, because there are a lot of things to do
Stacey purchased this House in 2012

Please ask the owner or check their rental agreement when booking the property.
The cabin or house was very cute and clean. Well stocked with towels and cooking supplies. However, the river was a bit further away than we expected and there was no view of the river from the house. Janice was very helpful and kind.
Not As Advertised - Be Warned
We chose this location because it was the halfway point for family and promised to be relaxing..you know, nature and a water view and river access. It was not. We were and still are so disappointed with this rental. No privacy anywhere - the owner's soon to be ex wife is RIGHT NEXT TO YOU - behind you are cows - on the side of you is a kennel - and in front of you is NOT the river, it's about 10 RV's with port-a-potties. FYI, they are not shown in that nice aerial photo of the river. We wouldn't have stayed if it was free, we all left early since we felt trapped.
As for what is accurate - the rental is pet friendly, the inside is as pictured, but they didn't post a pic of what the water heater was set at, which we are guessing is 90 degrees, with no way of increasing the temp.
I complained to VRBO, they sent me a response asking me to submit the same thing again - so, they aren't going to do anything about the accuracy of this listing. The owner's soon to be ex (Janice) said she has heard the same complaints before - I don't see any bad reviews - strange. The manager that I spoke to (Stacey) was very helpful, but she can't change any of the issues. This listing is dishonest and needs to change.
The 4th of July weekend is on of the busiest times of the year. There is a campground adjacent to the property that is busy during the 4th of July weekend. There is "Always" access to the river at the property regardless. This listing is accurate and the picture of the river is taken from the front of the house. It is a country setting and neighbors do have cows.
As far as complaints that Janice is referring to "not sure about that" there are a lot of great reviews. Guess you can't please everyone.
Property was very nice, quiet and clean! Very welcoming to our pup. Janice was just lovely and friendly and helpful. We come for a weekend to go to Hartzlog. Just love this place
best place for getaway
Very impressed, worth every penny. Love Janice, she is taking care of this place. Very nice lady, very friendly. Great place for fishing and water life. Can't wait to come back.
My wife and I used this as a weekend get away. The owner was awesome, the other camping guests were awesome (most of them rent the sites year round). We met some really great people and ended up floating the river with them. The use of the grill fire pit and canoe were very handy. The rental was clean and as advertised. Nice area not too far off the beaten path! I was pleased to see and smell nothing from such a pet friendly rental! Short walk to the water you can even hear the water from porch. We will be back!
Wonderful place to stay, if you like peace and quiet. Love the country setting. would recommend to friends and family. The owner was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was clean and comfortable.
Amish Country (Enjoy homemade goods, crafts, furniture, food, and restaurants) wonderful country atmosphere. Also enjoy Raystown Resort with water slides, miniature golf, restaurants, swimming areas, hiking trails, fishing, boating, hunting, sites seeing, ride the Proud Mary for a tour of Lake Raystown. Take a free, one-hour airplane ride and enjoy the beautiful mountains and scenery. Have access to Jack’s Mountain hiking trails (Thousand Steps, Orange Trail). Penn State Football games are only minutes away! Enjoy our mountain top getaway for picnicking and outdoor recreation.
