Quiet location on edge of a popular village close to Uzès
5km from Uzès, the property is set in a beautiful valley on the edge of the village of St. Maximin. Surrounded by fields owned by the property, there is a real feeling of being in the country. The village has a bar/restaurant and 2 wine producers within walking distance the property.
The property has 3 good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus a guest toilet. Spacious, bright sitting room with large windows, UK satellite TV, HiFi and plenty of books. Open fireplace for cooler evenings and full central heating. There is a covered dining terrace with gas barbecue. The kitchen is well equipped (the owner is a very keen cook) and has a gas hob with electric oven.
The main attraction of this house is its wonderful setting. The pool (fenced for infant security) is excellently placed on a terrace above the garden & enjoys sun all day. The house is surrounded on 2 sides by its own land of approximately 2 acres.

Wonderful gite in fantastic area
We have had an amazing two week stay in this fantastic gite. The pool is gorgeous, plenty of outside seating areas and loungers and a great bbq. The gite is very well equipped and really spacious. There is plenty to do in this area and we really loved Uzes. A really memorable summer holiday, thank you.
Thank you for your kind words. We are delighted that you had a fabulous holiday in this little corner of paradise. It's a lovely house in a quiet lane and you will have been able to make the most of the pool and gardens with the hot and sunny weather. It was a pleasure to have you as our guests. We very much hope to welcome you back to Uzès on another occasion.
Charming, well equipped, great location, lovely pool
We had a great fortnight, and were really pleased to find such a good sized pool for a three bedroom property, with lots of sun loungers, chairs and tables for different poolside situations. The house was beautifully furnished with a well appointed kitchen and laundry room. The bedrooms were comfortable. There was no air conditioning so we were very grateful for the fans as it was extremely hot when we were there. We were pestered by biting insects and would have welcomed some sort of screen at the windows, particularly in the kitchen and bedrooms. The location was perfect, in easy reach of the lovely Uzès, a couple of fantastic restaurants, a winery that supplied some delicious and inexpensive wine, supermarket (5 minutes drive), Pont du Gard etc etc. Highly recommended.
Gorgeous house, lovely setting
We have been coming here for nearly 10 years. Yes, it's very expensive in summer but the well-kept garden and the raised setting on the edge of a pretty village offer lovely views from wherever you are. The house is very well equipped and cool in the heat and there are comfortable places to sit all around it and delicious smells of lavender, etc. You are very close to Uzes and even closer to a huge supermarket. Yet the feeling is of rural peace. There are amazing and reasonably priced restaurants nearby, too. Highly recommended.
Superb well equipped villa.
Have stayed at this villa several times, it is superb, well equipped and secluded. A great place to relax, enjoy France and chill out. It is close to Uzes, a gem of a town, Aigue Mort and the Camargue, also close to Roman France. For us a highlight was dining out on the sunny south facing patio. We plan to return again.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It's always a pleasure to welcome you to the house and we look forward to your next visit. We're delighted that you like to relaxing atmosphere of the villa. It feels very private and yet is only a short walk from the village with its excellent restaurant. The pool is of course a huge advantage, allowing you to cool off in the hot summer. The dining area around the pool under the trees is perfect for al fresco dinners whilst watching the sun set over the hills. We know you love the house by your regular holidays here. Best wishes from us all in Uzes.
Close to the attractive medieval town of Uzès and the Pont du Gard, a world heritage site. Other Activities: Hot air ballooning, kayak Golf: Uzes has a lovely 9 hole golf course.
