When you vacation in Sunriver, you want to be near the action - and that's exactly what this cozy cabin offers. SHARC, the amazing aquatic center, is located steps away from Sunriver Village and scheduled to open Memorial Day, 2012. You get eight free passes to enjoy SHARC's pools, play areas, year-round tubing hill and so much more!
After all the fun, you'll be happy to come back to this cute house to relax in the woodland setting.
Cook your meals in the convenient kitchen, and eat them in the dining area or out on the deck. After dinner, enjoy the rustic living area with its large windows and vaulted ceiling. As you sit around the wood-burning fireplace, you can even here the train whistle like it used to in the early days in Central Oregon. You'll also find plenty of modern amenities, of course, including the new flat screen TV with cable.
The house features three bedrooms and two baths. The main floor has a queen bedroom with a full bathroom and an outside deck. This makes 5 Butternut a convenient choice if any of your guests have limited mobility.
The upper floor houses two bedrooms and a full bathroom. One bedroom is a queen, and the other has a queen bed plus twin bunks.
This cabin is just right for a family with children, or a group of friends who come for skiing or sledding, horseback riding or kayaking. Your dogs are even welcome, with an additional nightly fee! When you want to eat out or enjoy retail therapy, you can zip to the Village within minutes, and when you want to take life easy, you can stay here and enjoy the comforts of home.

House was cute but really wanted a hot tub! People can twice but it never worked....very disappointing!
We really like the train coming by. Everyone liked using the hot tub and there is plenty of room for everyone in a small place.
This rental was one of the most inexpensive in the area and within a mile of the pool and resort shop area. Perfect for about 6 people.
Poorest maintained house that we have ever stayed in. Nothing major just lots of little things. Faucet in kitchen missing aerator so every time you turned water on it sprayed everywhere. Dishwasher was full when we arrived. Vinyl in Kitchen missing a piece. Vinyl in bathrooms coming up at tub and apperared to need a good scrubbing. Medicine cabinet in bathroom missing door and rusted in bottom. Ceiling shows signs of leaking and possible mold. The entire house looks like it needed a good scrubbing. No barbecue utensils. No key in the secondary lock box. House was advertised for 8 people. We had 4 in our group and ran out of hot water when showering. House would have been very crowded with 8.
We have rented this cabin 3 or 4 times and continue to think it is just about the best value in Sunriver. It is super close to the SHARC pool and recreation area and comes with 8 passes, which is at the top of the children's list. It is dog friendly, which is at the top of the dogs list. Has a decent hot tub and three rooms which is at the top of the adult's list. Like some of the older Sunriver properties it has some quirks, slightly dated, train goes by about three times a day. But with those things in mind you still would be hard pressed to find a better value in Sunriver. Last year we left a puzzle signed by our family and were delighted to see that others had left notes on the box of the puzzle. We left a new one this year, so be sure enjoy the puzzle and sign the box!
