Superb self-catering apartments on the Puerta Marina Complex in the centre of Los Alcazares only a few minutes walk to all the local facilities including the beaches of the Mar Menor, these beaches are all blue flag award winning and are excellent for children and adults alike. The apartment is the penthouse which is top floor and has a private roof top solarium which has excellent views over the area, there is a lift to the apartment. The apartment has air conditioning and U.K. television.

Lovely Apartment.....Great Location

This was our second visit to Los Alcazares in the space of 9 months and our first impressions that it was a super little chill out spot was ratified within hours....The owner picked us up from the airport and took us to the apartment in Puerto Marina......the outside of the complex looked really nice and the grounds and pool were kept fantastically well....The owners were really nice and very helpful...we contacted them with a little issue and their handyman was on it the next morning....would definitely go back and in fact if we can arrange a reasonable flight we plan to go in August this year.....If we had a gripe we had to buy loo rolls and a few more towels would have been nice....All in all a lovely great value for money apartment

Our 7th year in los alcazares,everything on your doorstep,apartment clean and in good location,booking process safe and easy,nothing is any trouble for Stanley,any small problems fixed very quickly.will be rebooking for next year.

The area, complex and management service are all very good. However the apartment is best described as a concrete tent, with a lack of soft furnishings and the furnishings provided are basic.

The roof terrace is one of four on the building roof which are separated by a one metre high wall so although the terrace may be private there is no privacy. The absence of any furniture on the terrace prevents full enjoyment unless you want to sit on the floor, which is like sitting inside an empty concrete swimming pool.

The lounge consists of one suite, one coffee table and one TV with a good choice of channels. However the lack of any soft furnishing or lighting provided a harsh light in the evening and a lack of any home comfort. The lounge air conditioning unit was leaking water and this produced a very slippery floor by the balcony door. The sofa is best described as worn and we covered it with a bed cover before we used it.

The bedrooms are barely furnished and do not provide any sense of home comforts.

The bathroom shower has poor pressure and at the time of our visit the wall attachment was loose meaning the shower head had to be held by hand in order to have a shower. The absence of a bath mat meant stepping onto a wet slippery floor.

The kitchen is bereft of any condiments, washing up liquid, cleaning cloths, washing powder left by any previous visitors and is provided with only one tea towel for the duration of the visit. In order to do any cooking all consumables need to be purchased on arrival which is disappointing. During our stay the fridge/ freezer started to defrost and flood the floor. We found the problem and managed to quickly resolve.

The balcony overlooks the apartment opposite and not the pool unless you turn your head through 90 degrees. It is possible to have a conversation over breakfast with your opposite neighbours some 15 metres away. The patio table on the balcony had a hole on its edge. There are folding sun loungers which we used by the pool but the absence of beach towels and only one bath towel each, for the visit, is a disappointment.

After three days out of a ten day stay we asked to be moved. Within 5 hours and the excellent services of OSS we had moved a brilliant house which completely fulfilled all our needs.

While our visit at the end of the season may excuse some of the above, the owner needs to review the level of furnishing and services offered in order to bring this apartment

Owner's Response: Dear Sir , Thank you for your comments however I find most of them to be unhelpful and not strictly correct. The apartment , complex and location are all excellent as in previous reviews. Your comments concerning lack of soft furnishings has been taken on board and many new items have been added to make the overall experience in the apartment more enjoyable . How many sofas and T.V's can one fit into an apartment with one lounge? The kitchen is very well fitted out , better than most and it is not the responsibility of the owner to provide condiments or beach towels as in all rental properties. The fridge is working perfectly , it went onto an automatic defrost cycle like all fridges and no action was required. The water on the floor was caused by condensation which comes from all air conditioning units , the humidity was particularly high during your stay resulting in a small amount of condensation which was easily mopped up. The shower head was easily repaired and the water pressure in the whole complex is normally excellent , Los Alcazares did have some problems periodically with water pressure throughout the town during the year and are currently installing new water pipes to improve the whole area but this is not a reflection on the apartment. Non slip bathmats are always left in the bathroom , please accept our apologies if this was not the case. The apartment has a good assortment of outdoor furniture , any old or broken things have been replaced, the sunbeds are kept in the apartment as some clients prefer to sit by the pool others prefer to sit on the roof terrace and some prefer to sit on the private patio in the apartment and look down over the pool area , this offers them the choice. The complex is made up of apartment blocks , all 240 apartments overlook or are beside each other , this is the design of an apartment complex ,at least ours can offer partial privacy which is more than most, indeed 15 metres (46 feet) between balconies in any apartment complex would normally be considered a luxury! The giving of 1 star was a bit insulting given that the apartment was very clean and tidy , in good condition and provided all the facilities required in one of the best complexes in Los Alcazares , we have many repeat clients who stayed here and have nothing but praise for the apartment and the surrounding area.

Good location, well equipped, nice complex

Lovely complex, nice clean pools. Good location close to everything. Airport pick up service very efficient. Apartment well equipped but could do with a little TLC. Bed in main bedroom really uncomfortable and noticed on day of departure that mattress was completely split open all along one side exposing springs and filling, hence the discomfort. Agent said a new one was being ordered.

Good standard and complex excellent

this is the third time of staying in the complex apartment just as we expected good standard with everything u need to make your stay quiet at pool areas good size balcony with sun late afternoon the to evening for that pre dinner drink,

The apartment is located on the Puerta Marina complex in Pueblo Patricia, on Calle Isla de Ibiza which is the road leading to the large roundabout with the Mercadona supermarket, Hotel 525 and the pedestrian precinct on which are the restaurants, bars, shops etc. This precinct leads to the beach which is across the main road at the bottom., an excellent Spanish tourist resort on the edge of the Mar Menor, The Mar Menor is a large salt water lagoon fed from the Mediterranean sea, with no tides or large waves and beautiful sandy beaches which stretch for miles makes this a very safe beach location for children and adults alike. The Mar Menor is in the region of Murcia, one of the most beautiful and historic regions in all of Spain. Los Alcazares is only a fifteen minute drive to the historic town of Cartagena and 20 minutes to the capital city of Murcia. Los Alcazares is an excellent place to base yourself having all the facilities of a great beach resort whilst being close to all the great site seeing places including the famous La Manga strip, the healing mud flats in Lo Pagan and all the other great places along the coast of the Mar Menor, Costa Calida.
