About the property

Cottage, 1 Bedroom, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 2)

We purchased this home because we fell in love with the natural beauty of St. John. We fell in love all over when we found this picture-perfect spot on the quiet side of the island. It is the best of both worlds -- away from it all, yet only a scenic 15-minute drive to the restaurants and shops in Coral Bay. We love having beautiful snorkeling beaches just minutes from our front door, but without having to share it with a lot of people.

In Love!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely fell in love with Milk Moon, Privateers Bay, the East End and Catherine! If you are looking for privacy, beautiful views, amazing trade wind breezes and overall relaxation, search no further. The house was exactly what we were looking for on our honeymoon. Perfect kitchen to cook morning breakfasts (to be enjoyed on the awesome deck). Never turned the air on once-the breezes are that amazing. Safe-windows and doors open 24/7. Close to all of the great snorkeling-easily accessible via Jeep. We loved enjoying a bottle of wine at the beautiful pool after a long day at the beach. Close to Coral Bay restaurants. Half the battle with VRBO is who you rent from. Catherine is amazing. She was super helpful and an overall great person (if she lived in Charlotte, we would want to hang out with her)! We hope to be back much sooner than later!

Super welcoming home

  • 5 of 5

Milk Moon cottage is a treasure! Most visitors to St. John will not travel to the "other side" or the "East End" providing us with quiet roads and tons of privacy. We absolutely love the house! Welcoming the moment you enter the front door. Up to date furnishings, kitchen appliances and a wonderful gas weber grill! The house is managed by Catherine who is wonderful and so helpful. Without a doubt Milk Moon is the cleanest and bug free villa we have ever rented in the Caribbean. Breathtaking views of Normand and Peter Island. Great boat watching from the upper deck and a steady breeze to keep the insects away! The pool deck is private and a great way to stay cool. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing and beautifully stunning, we are so lucky to have found this little slice of paradise and could call it ours for two weeks.

Beautiful views/Fantastic bed!

  • 5 of 5

The views from the house are of beauty and solitude, with the rugged terrain of the East End and distant views of the uninhabited islands of the BVI. It was exactly what I wanted...peace and nature and starwatching! The swimming pool was perfect for us. Large enough to do short laps. The home is very well cared-for, with a nice modern kitchen and a surprisingly fantastic bed!

Oh WOW! The moment we arrived we could not stop saying "WOW" what amazing view! The first place we are visiting and look better then the photos! This is our second time at St. John and we loved it. This private cottage was the perfect place for us. Great pool, outdoor shower, very nice and comfortable. East End offers such a great snorkeling places. Our favorite is Hansen Bay, magical place. The reef on the right to Pelican rock is very beautiful and we were lucky to swim with dolphins! Vie's beach it is nice and relaxing too. St. John's has one of the best snorkeling spots and they are right off the beach. We really like Coral Bay and East End, it is more relaxing and quite. Salt Pond and Cinnamon Bay are also one of our favorites. We had a fun sailboat trip with Kiote Sails.

Before we book the place I was researching for some more photos and info about Milk Moon and couldn't find any helpful info. So I decide to take a video of the property so other people can see how beautiful and special it is. It is on youtube, title - Milk Moon cottage.

We are planning our next visit already!

Paradise Found!

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for astounding beauty, peace & tranquility. rest & relaxation, search no more. From the moment we arrived at this charming cottage it was nirvana. The cottage has everything you can want or need. It was extremely difficult having to leave this place. The view is outstanding & the breeze that goes with it. Privacy galore. Roads are pretty intense but you do get used to them. The beaches on St. John are fabulous. Caretakers Catherine & Clark are very nice people. When we return to St. John this is the ONLY place we will look to stay. Book it!

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your kind words. We work hard for the cottage to be very clean and comfortable however the beauty and privacy of the location does and says it all. We hope to see you both again on St John and in Milk Moon. Best, catherine

We stayed at Milk Moon for two weeks. The pictures and description are spot on. We found Milk Moon very clean. They had everything that we may have needed. The view is absolutely breathtaking. From beautiful sunrises to a two minute walk down the driveway to see a beautiful sunset. If your looking for a very quiet and very relaxing place to go this is your place. Coral Bay is 15 minutes away and Cruz Bay 40. Catherine was very easy to get along with and very accommodating. The pool temperature was very warm and the breezes were everything. We would go back in a heartbeat!
